Not strictly transfer banter but I hope the eds will allow it to lighten the mood.

OK - you wake up tomorrow morning and there's a car waiting to take you to Melwood. You are taken into a secret underground void and through a series of locked door where a man in a suit and sunglasses greets you. He smells vaguely of sandalwood but you conclude that's not important.

"We've been watching you on that Banter site. You seem to know your stuff. We've chosen you to carry out one special task"

"We've built a time machine that we can use to go back in time and bring any one former reds player to add to the squad this season. But only one".

"You can pick anybody you like except Djimi Traore - we went back and erased him from history". It can be any other player but remember - the machine can only take one. We've a season to play so pick somebody the team needs - not necessarily your fave player"

So - which player from which year do you bring forward to help this year's campaign?

5.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 13:38:03
Ray Clemence

6.) 07 Aug 2015

I am torn between Dalglish and Suarez.
Last season we missed creativity and a player that can run at the opposition defence causing fear and havoc , Dalglish and Suarez did this very well with ease.

7.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 13:40:37
Degen.

8.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 13:52:07
Clemence. Not that I watched him live but we badly need a proper gk and from what I have seen from previous videos he was the best

9.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 13:57:06
Reina

10.) 07 Aug 2015

Alonso, 6 years and infinte money spend, close to 150 goals conceded. Bring him back. The best player in the midfield and I have seen All three of Gerrard, Lamaprd and Scholes play throughot.

19.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 15:35:59
Do you think a player from the 70s era would be able to have as much impact nowadays, there's so much improvement in lifestyle, training, fitness etc

20.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 15:56:36
Can I go back and get a young Paisley instead of a player?

21.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 16:06:41
Hansen
We need a class centre half and he was the best

22.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 17:03:42
Suarez

23.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 17:07:51
Has to be a center half right now. Hyppia at the height of his career is a good choice. A Mascherano-type player is what we really need in this side (though I'm sure a few would disagree!)

24.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 17:26:27
Igor Biscan, no question.

25.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 18:06:23
Hansen but difficult decision over clemence and Souness

26.) 07 Aug 2015
07 Aug 2015 17:51:31

30.) 07 Aug 2015

In that order, if we wanted to win anything.

32.) 08 Aug 2015
08 Aug 2015 06:25:13
Souness for me

{Ed001's Note - I am with you on that, Souness was the best midfielder I have ever seen.}

33.) 08 Aug 2015
08 Aug 2015 06:51:10
Antonio Nunez. but only because Swampy has already picked me

34.) 08 Aug 2015
08 Aug 2015 08:13:24
Souness, McMahon, Hansen or Carragher. We need a midfield vocal enforcer and some quality organisation in the centre of defence
