will we be looking to sign Huntelaar on a pre contract in Jan? or buy him, if we sell balo? even if he won't be able to play in europe

{Ed001's Note - and how would we pay the wages and transfer fee when we are already massively outside the FFP ruling?}

Any rumours with regards to Liverpool and Moritz Leitner? Surely he has to either be pushing for a starting place in the Dortmund side this year, or moving on?

Ian Ayre addresses the media on new LFC ticket structure

Seems to me i have been duped by some on here with regard to the 77 pound tickets. Only for 200 seats at only 0.6% of games or something to that effect. With free tickets for school children, half price tickets for 17--21 year olds and the same for 1000 locals per game.

The season tickets have gone up to just over a grand but not being a season ticket holder i do not know how much they were before. About the same as you would pay for a years council tax and you don't get as much enjoyment out of that.

Well i suppose they have tried to address the affordability issue and offered a range of pricing. So what is your solution waro, this is a genuine question, what is your alternative to what the club is proposing? Debate not argument please.

2.) 06 Feb 2016 08:33:23
I would quite happily pay 1k for a season ticket, but there is no chance of me getting one.
Getting a ticket through the membership scheme gets me maybe 2 games a season.
Other than that, I have had to do package deals which cost several hundred for my wife and I.
If you don't want to pay it, don't pay. Very simple. There will be thousands upon thousands who will happily take it off you and probably sing a lot louder.

3.) 06 Feb 2016 09:19:25
Tristan- Maybe there will for 1 week or even a month or even a season. But will they commit every week home and away for years/ decades?
No disrespect but I doubt it and that is why local fans are an essential part of the game IMO.
I'm sure there will always be exceptions too.

4.) 06 Feb 2016 09:26:39
A fair price for fans across the board not just Liverpool fans! Football is the only industry that raises prices at times ten fold on inflation, we're in a time now were most people do not get a pay rise because it's an employer's market ATM.

I'd consider a fair price to range from £10 to a top price £35 IMO, my season ticket price will be frozen next season so the new pricing won't affect me, but should a minority of fans subsidise another? My answer is no, and once these top range prices are in don't for one minute think that they won't bring the majority up to that level in the near future because the club will no doubt feel in a few seasons time that the pricing is unbalanced and want to bring parity across the whole ground. ONCE THEY GET THESE TOP END PRICES IN, THEY NEVER GO DOWN ONLY UP.

Where making a stand now because (a) it's unfair to ask a minority to subsidise a majority and (b) to protect pricing for future generations of Liverpool supporter.

Let me ask this, do you not find it strange that the club are putting in place these top end prices of £77 just before the biggest ever TV deal comes into effect? Smacks of making the books look more attractive before they sell up, which I'd be ecstatic about by the way but I'm not prepared to see it at the detriment of the fans in the future.

EMS you seem to be the one who's doing the most dare I say it whining in support of the owners, maybe one day you will be a grown up and not have the bank of mum dad subsidising you and you'll have kids a mortgage utility bills and loans to pay for, let's see your reaction to massive rises in something you do in your social life with what little disposable income you have left after you've paid for all of the above.

I would also now encourage you to boo the people around you today EMS, because I think a life lesson is just what you need mate!

So i missed a lot of the live chat last night, and watched the game sporadically.

Overall I thought it went well, it spoke volume about the team that I think Exeter only had 1 shot at goal?

Klopps added some more experience in the middle of the park in Allen this time round and it worked, he set the tempo and spread the play and allowed LFC time on the ball without panic passing, a better pitch helped too.

From 1st glances in his 2 games vs Exeter that Stweart looks like a little gem, maybe some 1st team and more cup action wouldn't go amiss for him? He stepped up to mark free players, closed down, cut off passing lanes, read danger, and got a few interceptions up field reading the play, Overrall I thought he was MOTM for me (though I reiterate I only watched here and there)

I don't think Randall is going to make it. He's competent, decent in defense, ok in attack, but I feel Flanno is WAY ahead of him, and Wisdom and Clyne. I feel he won't crack the team, but he can be a good prem player if coached right somewhere else and given game time

I didn't think Brannagan had a great game I kept seeing him give the ball away and put in poor deliveries. he's had some hit and miss games. we'll see

I didn't bother really paying attention to Benteke Ilori Enrique or Migs, Ibe mainly because they're senior, I;ve made my mind up of them, or I couldn't really get a chance as they had little to do.

Smith had a good game with some great link up play and can certainly cross the ball should be really presurring Moreno in training. could those 2 on the wing work well?

Tex. Chased down everything, put in a good cross for Benteke, some neat footwork at the edge of the area. He always makes it seem like he's got an extra second on the ball than most individuals, some through balls went awry at the edge of the 18,but can be forgiven.

Ojo, I didn't get to see much sadly but saw the goal. Composed found the space well wide of the defender cut in with a finish any one would be proud of.

Overall a much calmer and composed game, I think Allen alongside Stewart ran the show gave us a calm on the ball and more purpose going forward with the press.

Overrall a good night. I feel they've earned a shot vs west ham if Klopps decides to stick with youth.

P. S SHOUT OUT TO FLANNO TOO, GREAT TO SEE HIM IN ACTION AGAIN!

I just thought I'd mentioned that up until the injuries. I've been enjoying the freedom our central defenders have been having since Klopp came in, and expecially Lovren since Skrtel left.
Lovren looks a completely different player under Klopp and next to Skho. He's been willing to step out early and cut out long balls to the centre forwards, challenging in the air, and getting tight to players to intercept the pass, I didn't realise how hamstrung he was by the tactics or his partner till recently.

I've been 1 of his biggest critics but he's slowly turning my view round, I hope it continues. we are beginning to see what we paid for in him, though I'd sitill like him to be better at set pieces.

Also I love seeing that we no longer wait for the deep midfielder to come and pick up the ball after the centre back pairing have performed several passes to on another across 20 yards. They're active and running into the space that a higher midfield line is creating and picking some good passes, Lovren once again seems to be relishing this role as well as Sakho, we aren't just booting it long to Benteke any more, we're pegging teams further back and getting more bodies around to ball so players aren't isolated, I just hope we don't lose confidence with 1 misplaced pass.

Those saying Klopp hasn't changed much at the club need to keep an eye out for this, it's such an improvement on what we saw for 3 years previously.

1.) 09 Jan 2016 16:22:17
Boba, it is the disingenuous fans who are saying that who for some reason, can't see the changes he's made. Apart from the Lovren bit, we are one foot away from a a Wembley final, topped, EL group, beat City, Chelsea, and Southampton handily on their own patch, beat Stoke without breaking a sweat and some of our kids are showing they have a future here. Granted, we've had some poor games but can anyone say Klopp's arrival has changed nothing? I don't think so. With the way we were playing under BR, all the above developments would never have happened so to those saying we haven't improved at all should jog on, really.

2.) 09 Jan 2016 16:56:14
Red this game of ours is all about results. So I think the ones saying we haven't improved under Klopp have a point because results certainly haven't improved. let's hope for better results in the second half of the season.

3.) 09 Jan 2016 17:05:10
But the results have improved.

4.) 09 Jan 2016 17:19:42
Except you can't say that. You cannot say at all that Rodgers would or would not have got the same results that klopp has. What you can say is that we still have most of the same weaknesses and there have been some improvements too. Those weaknesses have cost us points. The improvements have helped us gain points.
So, would we have got the same results? That's speculation and can only be as such. What would do know is that we have a sense of direction now that wasn't there previously and when we do get it right, we are playing some good football. There's the improvement.

5.) 10 Jan 2016 02:15:22
Your post makes no sense, 64. Slowdog explains my point, exactly. Our weaknesses remain for sure and those are still costing us games BUT to deny that we have made no improvements at all with all the positive results I mentioned in my post is just moral dishonesty at its finest. And no, we would never have gotten the same results playing with the flair we did in those games because Can would still be struggling at CB, Allen would still be a starter, Lucas would've been gone this month and we'd still be playing the rubbish possession footie that was getting us nowhere fast and Sahko would've been gone the day after New Year's Day. I can keep going mate because there's a lot where that came from. All his happening with a team he had no input in its assemblage and won't till the summer, that's a an improvement already. The points of improvement are numerous but I'll leave it at that.

Just for a bit of fun, Here's Dane Swan the most open and honest AFL players out there, talking about his warm up, training and injuries from about 1 minute 40 onwards. Bear in mind this guy won the player of the year award and is still one of the best players in the game today, where hamstring injuries are very prevalent, from about 1 minute 40 seconds in you'll see how seriously he takes it, he's a funny chap too.

I find it believable, there might be 1 or 2 clubs desperate in January wanting to alter their fortunes and willing to gamble and pay more than what we might get in summer. No idea who those clubs might be mind.

Begovic is not the required level for LFC to push on. He hasn't played well for 3 years now. Yes an improvement on Migs, but no where near a level we need to be competing.

Grobelaar can take a running jump as far as I'm concerned. Fixing matches is entirely self serving, and not that of a stand up person. Any one that does that does NOT care for their team.

We all knew at the time Migs wasn't great with his feet during his signing. We've also known that LFC have looked at keepers. I doubt very much BG knows any inside info, that just isn't in the public domain already or common sense. With regards to the player he's coaching. I imagine he's probably just trying to get him signed up and promote him. If he's that good, he'd be in Europe already.

probably just wants a nice Brucey bonus if a club comes in for the kid, or just to enhance his reputation.

Barcelona already have a replacement for Iniesta. They've bought 2 midfielders they can't play yet. I still see Coutinho moving to Barcelona as a MASSIVE mistake on his career.
Reitic, Turan, Rafinha, Roberto, and Iniesta are all competing for places, Then in the forward 3 you have Neymar Suarez and Messi. I just don't see how he gets regular game time, especially in that front 3 unless Messi moves on. Even then Barcelona have Vidal, and 2 youth products, who are in the squad. It'll be tough going and he'd have to really step up his game.

MK I have replied, but on another thread by accident. If it gets posted you will see it. A friend that still reads this site saw it and alerted me.

{Ed001's Note - I am not going to post up that on another thread: "A friend who still monitors this site aleterted to the post MK.

For the record. I left Because of the matters of when you proved ED01 or 02 wrong factually, they didn't post your replies.

That was why I walked away."

That's the gist of your argument, the rest was your subjective and quite frankly nasty character assassination, which was why your replies kept getting deleted, nothing to do with you 'proving' anything, it was the nastiness of your personal comments. You seem to be a close minded person who complains that someone might have changed their view over a period of months. Not sure why that is a problem, it is called learning.}

Leek he's not beasting them every day making them do 20km run 500 push ups etc then carry a log up a hill.

He's asking them to take part in 5 a sides, do gym work, rehab, drills, cone work, set pieces and apparebtly he's still struggling.
