@Dhfc - I am, he can’t do it all on his own and it seems that the people who actually know what they are talking about (like Ed01 for instance) don’t think that the current number. 2 is ‘adding value’ to phrase it kindly. We should always be looking at improving and bringing people and techniques that make us a better team / club.

People are signing for Lfc to play for Jurgen Klopp not the assistant coach, and that's the same whether its Linders, Stevie or Mikel Arteta as No.2.Klopp has to go back to being more hands on taking the training, its whether he still has the drive to do so. If he does we still have the best man for this club.

@Jude, I think you are right about Klopp needing to be more hands on and his recent comments look like he is going in that direction but I think that players have different reasons for joining any club other than the manager solely.
If it were the case how would you account for Chelsea or PSG, to name but two?
To suggest that there’s just one reason for all players motive in joining a club is a bit of an overstatement imho.

What I am encouraged about is Klopp recognising our lack of press/ counter-press has been a big issue (though I’m sure he’s known for a long time but has just said it publicly recently) . Bodes well for next season, and I think now we’ve got near enough a fully fit squad is something he can enact better than when we had 10 players out. Getting the right midfielders in who have the energy to perform the press week in and week out is crucial, and may protect the defence more.
A new top class centre back is needed to put pressure on Van Dijk who has been extremely poor, though Konate wasn’t good yesterday either.

Stevie G's rubbish show at Villa compared to Emery gives us some indication of his level as a manager, in my opinion.
If Pep really is to blame for the rubbish show of this season, there is something to be answered for, although to my mind, he is still a better coach than Stevie at this stage.
If SG did come in, maybe he would be more of a cheerleader/ motivator with rousing churchillian speeches on the training ground.
