Imagine, if you will, a scenario, where instead of City's coach being bombarded with abuse, it is instead met by absolute silent stares from everyone, as it passes through the streets on its way to Anfield.
'End of the World' stuff.

You're watching too many movies.

I say we stand on top of the bus, and stare at them, silently, from there. A few of us will be sacrificed, as we fall off the bus due to hitting our heads on bridges and poles, but that will certainly send a message.
04 Oct 2026 15:29:02
I think turning our backs to the bus would give a clear message.
04 Oct 2026 20:09:31
Like that idea Jari.
05 Oct 2026 00:48:50
Just bring the kick off forward to a quarter past one.
05 Oct 2026 19:18:31
Rigsy that went straight over my head at first. Haha. Well done sir. ?.

Told you a week ago city case will be a nothing burger and now the PM is singing the same tune.

03 Oct 2026 09:40:18
The PM is hardly someone who's opinion is worth listening too.
03 Oct 2026 10:27:21
I can certainly see a cop out of sorts from the Premier League!
I also think a few of these charges will get overturned on appeal and the sanctions / punishments won't be as severe as what we're all hoping for?!
Pressure towards the Prem from high up will come into play and no doubt already talks have held place with best / worst case scenarios?
I reckon the Prem will give City a fighting chance from next season with say a 45 point penalty but no expulsion, 3-4 year transfer ban and they'll keep their titles.
The FA and football league might view their competion winners differently & strip them?
One thing I'd like all three bodies to do though is a blanket ban for City for 5 years from competing in ALL European competion's!
03 Oct 2026 11:49:05
Give us the lotto numbers there while you have your crystal ball out will you?!
When exactly did the Prime Muppet allude to such things anyway and what did he say?
03 Oct 2026 18:40:07
You also previously said
"Someone finally with brains at LFC management has figured out that instead of Barcola they could sign Manu Kone, Guela Doue and Yakub Minteh at a combined same net outlay and the team would look much better".
So I will see how it pans out with city rather than taking your comment as gospel.
02 Oct 2026 12:05:15
The FA this morning:
"We are carefully considering the decision and its implications and will take action where appropriate. As proceedings between the Premier League and Manchester City Football Club remain ongoing, we do not intend to comment further at this stage. We will, however, continue to monitor developments closely."
Looks like the FA may get involvd after all.

Honestly the only way for this to correctly end is the liquidation of the club.
Stops it Happening ever again, while showing the UAE they can't do as they please.
Everyone's going to be getting involved, sponsors, other teams, players, city players.
The sinking ship.
02 Oct 2026 18:55:48
They should be banned from all competitive football, the sheer arrogance to cheat on the scale they did, for as long as they did, at this level is completely unforgivable in my opinion.
01 Oct 2026 18:59:32
Breaking News.
HMRC To investigate Man City to see if they paid the correct amount of Tax and NI
Over the 9 year period.
Now they have a big problem. This could well lead to jail time.
You can't flin flan the tax man.
More popcorn me thinks ?.

01 Oct 2026 19:32:27
This would be quite unprecedented. Usually HMRC don't comment on investigation underway. Is this the parliamentary question?
01 Oct 2026 20:35:42
Is that a definite Chrisy?
Just reading that the Parlimentary treasury committee have recommended they investigate - they've until the 15/10 to make a decision.
02 Oct 2026 00:02:34
Surely if you over reported your income they will have paid too much tax, not too little?
02 Oct 2026 04:25:37
Not that simple, Stoneage; it's about where the money came from, where it went, and how it was categorised, i. e the Mancini double contract scandal, he was recieving payments on a second contract 'from Al-Jazeera', which has now been deemed a sham, City paid him those wages, and they didn't pay tax on them, we have no idea how many more of their deals may contain tax 'discrepancies', but given there's almost £1 billion worth of dodgey dealings, I'm willing to bet the Mancini deal isn't the only one.
02 Oct 2026 07:04:40
Is the Mancini scenario similar to that of Mourinho, Shakira and a few others in Spain
At the end of the day. they just received a bit of a fine and life moved on.
Oh the life of making millions illegally, being caught and then paying a fraction back in the form of a fine.
02 Oct 2026 08:29:46
The HMRC have been asked by a Parliamentary committee to investigate if City have been money laundering
HMRC won't comment but will investigate.
02 Oct 2026 14:49:38
Just liquidate the club. Stops it happening again, puts the UAE back in its place and hopefully ends Burnham for being a shrew.
01 Oct 2026 16:03:48
All this talk even from Klopp about peps way, peps way, the cheating can't take away from peps way.
Are you kidding me?
City Made no sufficient organic income. The club actually made buttons. They afforded the calibre of player's they attained through their own pockets covering it as "sponsorship". Look at the clubs in recent times punished for breaking the rules regarding spending and income. Newcastle, Everton and villa forced to sell and not able to buy. They remain stagnant.
If pep wasn't working with top player's in nearly every position and the club attracting those player's with massive contracts, peps way would have been no way to success.
Remember, we wanted Bellingham and couldn't essentially afford him because we needed to recruit in other positions too.
When Liverpool needed a top striker, I remember Klopp saying city can go and just buy the best striker on the market which was Halland at the time. He was stating what we and everyone else was up against.
City have been buying the best player's in the market by cheating and breaking rules other clubs have had to abide by.
So yes I'd absolutely be questioning just how good pep is during his tenure at city. He certainly wasn't great at Bayern.
Pep is an excellent coach but soo was Klopp. Klopp got the best out of good to very good player's, making some world class. City bought whoever and whenever pep wanted more player's. When there was actually no money to spend.
Man city are a disgraceful set up.

Pep has only ever managed clubs with unfettered access to top players but his innovative ways of coaching should be recognised. For those innovations to work he needed the best players in the world which is why I think it's legitimate to question his achievements.
01 Oct 2026 20:21:12
Im still waiting for the Haaland purchase to be investigated.
The best striker at the time and City paid only 50m for him. there's more to that story imo.
02 Oct 2026 22:21:55
It was well reported at the time that the fees to sign haaland plus signing fee plus his dad's fee was close to 150 million. Not sure how true that was.
03 Oct 2026 09:38:36
The agent fee was ridiculous, I believe.
01 Oct 2026 13:12:29
Interesting that City's Chairman has diplomatic immunity in the UK but also interesting that this started in 2020 - after the last date of the incidents.
So does that if criminal charges were considered he (and his company) would be immune?
Is he immune from being kicked out of football ownership?
This scandal is getting worse.

01 Oct 2026 13:24:56
Presumably the guilty verdicts would mean that City's owners would fail the "fit and proper person" test.
01 Oct 2026 13:31:00
You can't have a guilty verdict against a diplomat.
Maybe this is the evidence City are invoking.
01 Oct 2026 17:23:40
Do we think that another 14 clubs along with us, that would vote in favour of expelling Man Cheaty, out of the Premier League?
01 Oct 2026 17:42:45
Where's Danny Glover with a gun when you need him.
01 Oct 2026 09:33:13
"Imagine spending all that money, winning all those trophies, and still needing a lawyer to explain why you deserve them".

Just wondering where Companies House is in all this Man City stuff. Surely what they did was false accounting under the Theft Act 1968 which carries a maximum prison sentence of seven years. Is this being looked at?
Agree3
01 Oct 2026 08:01:44
They are in Cardiff JoJo.
01 Oct 2026 11:49:39
Unlikely with none of the owners being UK nationals.
01 Oct 2026 14:37:00
Jo Jo, good point, but looks like the main culprits have diplomatic immunity. However, false accounting is as you say a very serious offence and key post holders at city during the time of the false accounting should now be getting lawyered up big style.
01 Oct 2026 15:09:44
They would be banned from being company directors in the UK.
30 Sep 2026 23:37:10
Adam Cleary channel on YouTube has the full breakdown on the city charges. He even gives you the Premier Leagues punishments via their own booklet on the rules. City could in effect be booted out of all leagues entirely. Check it out for a full understanding of the situation.
