Lots of suggestions we should go for Alex Scott but I don't get it personally. She's in her 40s now so there is no sell on value. Granted we need cover at right back and at 5 foot 4 she's taller than Frimpong, but the fact she hasn't played for 8 years worries me.

Yeah, Estevaos missed about 6 months in the last 2 seasons, mostly through repeat hamstring injuries. Endricks had multiple hamstring issues too; they're only kids of course and they can bounce back but it can be a bit of a red flag at that age.

Watched a bit of the Ath Madrid win yesterday and Barrios stood out to me. I read somewhere a while ago we were looking at him.
Does anyone have anymore info on him and if we are actually interested?

I still think the squad is adapting to Iraola's methods and tactics so you are not likely to see the best from any player. I think we're getting better as a collective. There was nothing in the City game for an hour until they brought on Doku (a great option off the bench) and Gravenberch got a red.
Wirtz, Barcola and Isak are most in the spotlight because of their transfer fees. They still need to have chance to adapt.

If we haven't seen a big improvement in those 3 players by Christmas then there will be a lot of pressure on them.

I still think it'll click.

Midfield is still too weak and there's no physicality or defensive nous among the shower that we have. Until something is done about that we'll continue to be run through like they're not there.

Fully agree Ron, we were actually pressing as a unit much much better than we ever have in the last 18 months. there's still a ways to go but the signs are there.

Very true Vik. I do think we'll bring somebody in asap, I would expect Ward and Iraola to see that not securing a DM during the summer was a huge mistake (on Hughes part).

Agreed, but can't help but think Alonso was an easier fit for the squad we have.
