I don't do Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.

Thiago being interviewed by Rio Ferdinand to see why he will not be an LFC coach this season, simply he does not have the coaching badges required.

I think Diomande signs. I don’t care either way but I think movement next week.
Most of the noise coming from the Italian clown will be from his agents to try and bump up the deal we all know that’s where the 🤡 gets his info from and posts for agents for a fee.

Only reason he might post about a deal a few minutes before the whole world knows is because it keeps him looking connected and it helps the agents in the future.
But as I said I don’t care either way because am not sold on Diomande but hopefully he proves me wrong.

Apparently PSG are willing to loan back for a year, which is what RBL really want. Feels like we've been used to leverage their perfect deal. I'd walk away.

04 Jul 2026 13:37:20
Chewy, I don't believe that info is being pumped out there.
I just believe his agents are just using PSG for leverage and pushing stuff out in the press.
Like I said, I believe next week that deal will ramp up. Diomande even said he has not said anything, so the stuff out there has both to do with him.

Apparently PSG won't outbid us in either scenario, so you could be right, we'll find out soon enough.

Liverpool's scouts have reported back, and not only did Slot agree to him, but Iraola as well, who wanted him at Bournemouth. We have been tracking him and interested since Xmas 2025. He's 19 and raw, but the ability is there. We have a great coach who can guide him.

2

04 Jul 2026 15:18:17
Let's wait and see before we start calling Iraola a great coach.

We had a coach this time last season who had just won the Premier League at the first time of asking. I'm sure we all called him a great coach at the time and we know how that ended.

I'm not sold on Iraola, he gives me Thomas Frank vibes, but time will tell.

Riosstepover, how does Iraola give you Thomas Frank vibes? They are literally the opposite ends of playing styles. I am assuming you mean that he will not perform at a bigger club. I would say, give the man a chance before writing him off.

Frank was at a very disjointed Spurs, with a bang average squad, and did no worse than any of the other coaches there. I think Iraola is a very good fit for us, let's back him and see what he can do.

Some managers do well at smaller clubs, Grumpy, and I think Iraola is one of them. Plus, how well did he actually do at Bournemouth? They have some very good players and should be finishing 10th-6th. They finished 6th and he's lauded as a genius, but that won't be enough at a club like Liverpool.

The step up in expectation will be too much for him, I feel.

That being said, I'm praying I'm wrong and he is the answer and I'll fully support him whilst he is Liverpool manager. I just have this nagging feeling that he's going to be an unmitigated disaster.

04 Jul 2026 15:53:35
Iraola is nothing like Thomas Frank what a strange comment.
As for Slot even in the first half of the season when we was winning the football was not great if you can watch some of the games back. Ipswich first game first half awful then we reverted back to Klopp football and won the game and that happened in most games.

Then that Dutch arrogance kicked in once we won the league and things just went from bad to worse.
I truly can't believe anyone thought any of the football under Slot was good it was slow and boring.

Sorry stepover, but in a league that has:

City
Liverpool
Arsenal
Utd
Spurs
Chelsea
Newcastle
Villa

How on earth can you say that finishing 6th with Bournemouth isn't an amazing feat?

Bournemouth have been in prem for 9 seasons, so vs the above clubs, rethink what you’ve said.

Now layer on top the fact that he lost:

Kepa
Kerkez
Huijsen
Zarbanyi
Semenyo

Over the course of last season and still finished 6th. Did it playing brilliant footy to watch.

You're being ridiculously harsh on his achievements thus far.

Changing - could not agree more with that, mate, 100%. Man, in my opinion, worked miracles. You give him a decent squad and I think he will do really well.

04 Jul 2026 11:57:46
I think Mo will re-join and they will announce it as late as possible to give fans tid bits to chomp on after the disaster class management misses on all its targets.

1

04 Jul 2026 14:34:23
Who's the disaster class? Surely not the Sporting director who brought in the Prems second best striker, Germany's best talent, Leverkusen's talented rwb, the new manager's suggestion for a winger, French football's most talented upcoming striker, two of Europe's most talented young cbs, the best lb in the league in 24/25, managed to give new deals to our best ever modern player, and our captain as well.

He's also been on the dog n bone trying to get Diomande in ahead of the 2x European champions.

In order of your list, Keegan, as it stands:

Flop, injured half the season, was known to be injury-prone prior.
Flop considering the hype, has shown glimpses of his ability, but yet to prove himself in the Prem.
Complete and utter flop, injured half the season with repeat hamstring issues.
Had 1 decent season at a team that barely scraped relegation and didn't even hit double digits for G/A.
Was doing well until he had a career-altering injury, possibly due to being overused in the absence of the 2nd best striker in the Prem, one might question the thinking behind bringing in 2 strikers of such a similar profile who clearly are not 90-minute men and need minutes managed.

Both currently injured, one with an ACL, the other was needed in January.
Very slow to assimilate despite being Prem-proven, but looks to be improving.

As I said, this is as things currently stand, obviously I'm hoping it changes, but it's the harsh reality of things after last season and nowhere near as impressive as the out-of-context list you laid out.

Chewy, I agree on your points but we can't say he's done a crap job when we were all happy when they were brought in.

04 Jul 2026 17:20:04
Chewy, injuries and loss of form are not exactly easy to predict. I think most on here would have welcomed all the signings last summer. The only one I didn't want was Isak, and that was not because of his injury record; it was because he doesn't fit tactically, and I didn't like how he bullied his way out of Newcastle, said a lot about his character for me.

That said, we have no idea what was being said to him behind the scenes by Liverpool representatives.

Since when has Victor become an itk? Following this site for well over 10 yrs. I dont post often but come on. Seems to be 2 maybe 3 posters on here who maybe know more than or hear more than us. Carra, Robbo and the Fields.

You're mixing up ViktorVaugahn and VictorGoddamn.

Why is this Victor getting some hate?

7

04 Jul 2026 13:26:00
Easy mistake, both are technically ITK, VG is 'In The Know', whilst VV is an 'Insufferable Toxic Knob'. 🤣 Just Kidding, I'm a big fan of Vik.

04 Jul 2026 15:45:29
Love you right back, Chewy.

Vv's player reports are one of the highlights of this site. Absolutely brutal but funny af.

Ok thanks Ed

Diomande isn't happening. All due respect to everyone here who has said it still will or there's a chance. There's not. It's dead in the water.

03 Jul 2026 15:57:27
Spend the money on El Mala and Minteh. Move on Chiesa.

3

03 Jul 2026 15:44:06
Have you got info or are you just grumpy?

4

03 Jul 2026 18:39:56
Sounds like he's got a chip on his shoulder.

03 Jul 2026 19:49:59
Please no no no to Minteh, he isn't anywhere near the level for our club, very inconsistent, very poor output. Like I said before, if rumours are true regarding Neto, then I think he would be brilliant under Iraola.

2

03 Jul 2026 22:57:59
Racey, have you actually watched Minteh? Electric pace, great recovery, loves high intensity and pressing. Only 21 and an actual left footed winger.

2

04 Jul 2026 09:45:04
Yes, I've watched him a lot & yes, he is fast & great recovery, but he is not at the level for a club of our stature or for any of the top 6 in my opinion. It's not to say he won't get there, but not there yet, needs to work on his goals output & defensive side.

Can it really be a year today since Diogo died?
Seems like yesterday.
He’s sadly missed.

Hello! Not sure if mentioned before but I noticed Viktor Munoz signed a 6 year contract on joining. From what I remember, in the past, players generally sign 5 year contracts when joining us. Do you know if this is because of players running down contracts and giving us a bit of extra protection?

0

03 Jul 2026 11:30:52
I think Darwin signed a 6-year deal with us when he joined. Probably, some optimal renewal formula to do with age.

1

03 Jul 2026 11:51:15
Or spreading costs over a larger period of time to help out with finances. That is how Chelsea are able to make so many signings, the finances are spread over longer period of time, so the accounts are not hit as hard in year... e.g. £1,000 for a 1 year contract is £250 a year cost if split over a 4 year contract.

0

03 Jul 2026 12:06:16
6 years is pretty standard now, Grav. Isak, Ekitike, Giorgi, Leoni were all tied down to 6-year deals.

3

03 Jul 2026 12:40:02
Man of Todd, the spreading of costs is capped at 5 years now after the Chelsea 8yr deals. Isak signed for 6 years as well.

2

04 Jul 2026 12:09:13
Ok, Keenan's Purm, I hadn't realised that, thanks for correcting me.
