AB1 what a keeper. Nuff said. Oh and Mo i love you.

16 Nov 2018 20:24:11
Ox looking good in rehab. Strong lad anyway, reckon he will be back sooner than expected.

1.) 17 Nov 2018 13:22:57
I rather doubt he will play much this season, maybe bits and pieces by the tail end of the season. The most important bit is that he comes back 100% and no doubts in his head.

{Ed025's Note - i like the ox irish, good player and really missed this season i feel mate..

2.) 17 Nov 2018 15:40:40
U were slagging him off when we signed him ed mate I remember defending him, nice too have proved u wrong, shame u weren't wrong about Moreno, clyne, studge, Karius, mignolet, lallana, matip, klavan, emre Can some list that isn't it! Remind me of anymore please ed.

{Ed025's Note - he has surprised me hailstones, i thought theo would be the better of the 2 but its not panned out that way by the looks of it mate..

3.) 17 Nov 2018 16:07:24
Fair play ed think u got a gem in richarlison though if it weren't for him theo would be getting a lot more stick.

{Ed025's Note - yeah ritchie is looking very good mate, theo could well be replaced with lookman for the cardiff game hailstones..

4.) 17 Nov 2018 17:55:32
The slagging of Emre Can is unwarranted. I think he had an okay career with us. You can't expect every player to turn out into another Gerrard.

{Ed025's Note - i dont get the love for players who have left your club ArAy, emre left liverpool because he never loved the club and wanted out to further his career...what ever happened to loyalty?, when players leave everton (like lukaku and barkley) i really want them to fall flat on their faces mate...i just cant help it..

5.) 17 Nov 2018 18:57:39
Walcott wanted too b a striker at arsenal and at times looked good in that position and scored plenty, seeing as u need a striker I always thought it would be an idea too play him there I was discussing the very thing wid me mate yesterday.

{Ed025's Note - the reason wenger did not play him there tells you everything i think hailstones, he has the pace for sure but lacks composure and strength. we all have ideas above our station at times mate and this is his..

6.) 17 Nov 2018 19:21:00
Sound mate gotcha, hopefully he plays there then haha.

{Ed025's Note - love it mate..

7.) 17 Nov 2018 23:19:23
I agree Ed25 with the comment about ex players falling flat on their faces. At least the ones that think they’re bigger than the club and force their way out. There’s always the few that leave because they have to/ forced out who I want to do well though. Prime example would be god. Always rooted for Crouchie as well. Made up Torres flopped at Chelsea and When Barcelona sell Coutinho I’ll also smile a little. The grass isn’t always greener: Remember Rodwell. Remember Gosling. Could of had amazing careers if they’d stayed put.

{Ed025's Note - yeah thats my way of thinking as well scoot, naismith is one i will always want to do well, done amazing things for the homeless and a genuine nice guy who did not want to leave, as for the big shots i could not care less mate..

8.) 17 Nov 2018 23:43:34
Ed025, maybe it's just the way it is in the modern game and many of us fans have simply adjusted to it? Can was not spectacular by any means for the club, but he put in enough effort, he fulfilled his contract with minimum fuss and then he moved on. There are many others who did much less for the club or behaved horribly; and probably deserving of whatever treatment they get from the fans. And loyalty? It's to the guy who's ready to pay the highest paycheck every week. I don't think the badge or team colors matter that much to a lot of these guys. That's why I feel Can did just okay and should be spared from slagging, whereas Suarez and Coutinho (for example) ran off in search of the higest buck.

{Ed025's Note - we think of it as if we were the players ArAy, representing your own club would be amazing and you think you would never want to leave, but as you say the lure of the big bucks must usurp all of that but i cant help how i feel mate...sod the lot of them i say.. :)

9.) 18 Nov 2018 06:33:57
Ed025, regarding Can, unless a player is actually “one of your own” you can’t expect them to have blind loyalty to stay no matter what. I’d rather have a player hungry for success than a player happy to stay at a club forever no matter what. Unless you are really passionate about the club it just breeds complacency and mediocrity. All of his negatives aside, Suarez used us as a stepping stone but almost won us a title. I’d rather have players who want to show their class to get moves “up” than players happy to earn a bench.

In the modern game we can hardly be angry with players for wanting to go either to where they think they will have more success (Coutinho) or to where they think they will be a more important part of the team (Can) . We would have no regrets with slagging them off and selling them if we thought they weren’t good enough, so it works both ways.

I play cricket and was at a big club barely getting a regular game, so it was absolute no brained to go to another club where I started and bowled 10 overs every week. Can only has 15 years absolute maximum of potential top level football to play, why would he waste it on our bench/ filling in wherever there’s a gap. Let the lad go to where he thinks he will be an important part of the team.

{Ed025's Note - you make some very valid points there KK and i know i probably take it too personally, but i would like to think that if i played i would be a tim cahill or a steven gerrard mate passionate and faithful, when you think of their lifestyle and how good life must be its hard for me to justify why they would want to leave, klopp says that a players personality is just as important as his skill level and im with him all the way, i dont want players at my club who think they are too good for us or are using us as a stepping stone no matter how good they are...maybe its just me?..

10.) 18 Nov 2018 14:11:30
Ed25, I like your approach here. I personally am not bothered if players love the club or not cos in the end, football is a profession. Now having said that, I expect them to give their all for the club whenever they play and Can did that a tonne while he was here. He played multiple positions when he was needed to help the team. He played with injury loads of times in Klopp's full season when he was taking pain-killing injections for a calf injury just to stay on the pitch cos we had NO depth and Klopp needed him.

Also, remember that he played the City game (the 4-3 one) while at the same time being as sick as a dog and STILL played a blinder. People may slag him off cos "he did not love the club" BUT does a player who does not "love" the club do all the things I mentioned above? That would be NO. If he thinks he was too good for us and wanted guarantees as to position and playing time, then that is up to Klopp to decide. Can is gone. So is Cou, Suarez and many others and provided they gave their all for the club while at the club, good luck to them in their careers. Cheers, man.

{Ed025's Note - players who give their all while at the club i have no beef with brover, its the ones who pull a sicky for the slightest thing and those who make playing for the team seem like a chore (kevin mirallas etc) who i cant abide mate..

Read a lot of posts today. One phrase comes to mind "we don't want to peak to early" it will come, second not playing to well but It won't last, soon or about xmas time will be when it clicks and then were in for a ride. Keep in the mix and be there or there abouts and you never know.

1.) 14 Nov 2018 21:21:35
And I’ve just read them all in your post thanks mate I can go to bed now save browsing 👍.

Hello all. I did say last season that harry wilson looked like a young ferndo torres, even more so now. get in there harry lad!

1.) 26 Sep 2018 05:20:44
How do you see them as similar. Torres at LFC based much of his game around pace and power - the exact opposite of Wilson.

2.) 26 Sep 2018 05:37:44
I think he means they look similar in their physical appearance rather than playing style.

3.) 26 Sep 2018 07:22:54
Correct Kramer, the way he moves, runs etc. Very Torresey lol.

22 Mar 2018 15:23:41
Is it me or does Harry wilson remind you of Fernando Torres with his movement and running?

1.) 22 Mar 2018 16:13:16
northernbeasle I don't know what your movement and running is like mate.

2.) 22 Mar 2018 16:24:13
Very good Acered. I will reword the original post shall I.

Does Harry wilson remind you of Fernando Torres with his movement and running?

3.) 22 Mar 2018 17:11:45
northern I can't say I've noticed but will watch out to see if there are any similarities. He's certainly got his facial looks with his rosy cheeks.

4.) 22 Mar 2018 20:20:47
northern, imho plays like Harry kewell, hope he has a bigger heart!

5.) 22 Mar 2018 21:34:33
I have been looking foward to Wilson coming through ever since he first became known to LFC fans about 4 years back. I really hope he is given a chance because so many promising youths don’t seem to make it. Yes right now Gomez and Trent are in the team but from an attacking and midfield sense no-one seems to be coming through. Had high hopes for Ojo as well but that seems to be dwindling. I really hope the rumours are true that Wilson and Brewster will have first team opportunities next year and maybe even Ojo.

6.) 22 Mar 2018 22:36:48
A very young Torres that is, be a while before he matures, however I can see similar attributes though. Similar physique at that age also. Heres hoping anyway!

7.) 22 Mar 2018 23:14:15
Whether he plays like Torres or looks like him all we care about is that he’s goven chance amount off goals the lad scored for u23s was really impressive I understand not premier league but he’s not doing badly at this Moment for Hull in championship either it seems, only problem is he won’t start at Liverpool for good while and seemingly has Woodburn, Ojo and maybe Kent from his form in pre season.

soton also fleece us lol, I can't see klopp or the rest of the lads putting up with him if he doesn't put the effort in. If the lad comes in scores a few goals all the haters will be loving it so i say give him a chance to prove his worth!
