Just out of curiosity ed what kind of following does liverpool have over in the states compared to the likes of utd, Chelsea, city. Watching the match tonight it looks good for liverpool while utd didn't seem to have much of a following there tonight. Which English clubs are followed more over in the states. Cheers eds keep up the good work.

{Ed025's Note - united have the biggest following in the US i believe deiser with liverpool not far behind, city and chelsea also do well out there, in the city of liverpool itself everton supporters outnumber the reds by 2/1 because we are proper scousers but in copenhagen you are top dogs mate.. :)

1.) 29 Jul 2018 01:46:13
Wins like that don't mean much to us but that's a defining day for a lot of fans out there.

There was there elclastico for British football. The champions league final.

Not to shabby smacking United about on any day. Couldn't care less where, when or how.

2.) 29 Jul 2018 03:29:40
When I was in LA a few years ago, I saw plenty of Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and some City and Tottenham March. Barely saw any Liverpool stuff which was disappointing. Here in Aus Iā€™d say Liverpool and Utd are about the same merch availability wise.

3.) 29 Jul 2018 05:54:17
If the a55 ever gets closed at the end of an Everton match half their supporters wouldn't know how to get home.

4.) 29 Jul 2018 01:13:59
Ed025 a true blue nose response there to a legitimate question!
You will always be jealous though, so things will never change.
We see things you will never see, but do you know what, I hope you improve this Eason, as I want Derby day to be more exciting!

{Ed025's Note - i have to make comments like that hughesy or you will think im becoming a red mate.. :)

5.) 29 Jul 2018 04:06:44
Sorry Ed25 but I think you mean Wales.

{Ed025's Note - we are big in wales scoot as well as many other countries, we can send people to sleep anywhere mate..

6.) 29 Jul 2018 07:53:58
You have a few bites this morning Ed25, including me šŸ˜œ

When Everton become a big club, you might sell a few more shirts outside the L postcode šŸ˜. Good fine to none over to the dark side Ed xxxx.

{Ed025's Note - we are on the way back drogie and it wont be long before we are the pride of merseyside again...its a coming mate so prepare to be back in our shadow.. where you belong.. :)

7.) 29 Jul 2018 09:04:48
Hi Ed 25. You say that Everton supporters outnumber Liverpool by 2 - 1 in the City. This must be the explanation why outsiders regard Scousers as thick! . On my rare visits to the City I still see a lot more Red shirts than blue.

{Ed025's Note - you must have visited on the day of the danish festival of herdy gurdy pape, the city has and always will be blue mate..

8.) 29 Jul 2018 09:35:52
Ed 25 you only have to look at the kids in the streets with football kits on and you will see the reds are by far the most supported team in the city by far.

{Ed025's Note - i live in the posh part of the city ted so dont really see the riff raff mate.. :)

9.) 29 Jul 2018 10:37:59
The Danish Festival of Herdy Gurdy attracts more visitors than Goodison Park. You may be posh but I know how to use capital letters!

10.) 29 Jul 2018 10:43:50
Actually Ed025 It is nice to exchange a little banter with an Evertonian than be continually slagged off by that chelsea supporter As you can see I still know how and when to use capital letters!

{Ed025's Note - yeah im not much of a typist or computer buff pape, but with this not being a PC english language course i dont think it matters too much mate..

11.) 29 Jul 2018 11:16:17
Oh you a bootle boy then ed25.

{Ed001's Note - he wishes he was from Bootle.}

12.) 29 Jul 2018 11:16:17
Oh you a bootle boy then ed25.

{Ed025's Note - i went to bootle once ted...but it was closed, woolton guy myself but brought up in wavertree, true blue= proper scouser, nothing wooly about my back mate.. :)

13.) 29 Jul 2018 12:10:55
Lived in Cincinnati, Ohio (small city that borders Indiana and is 5 hrs from Chicago) and there are LFC fans everywhere (same with Utd) . The bar I used to watch our games at, were run by a Liverpudlian and die-hard LFC fan.

14.) 29 Jul 2018 17:48:37
Ed25 I lived in gateacre park drive for a bit. Not now tho. Over the water now. Still got mates that way. funnily enough none of them blues. ones a villa fan. Go figure.

{Ed025's Note - gateacre is snooing with evertonians now ben, all the reds have moved away (over the water or denmark or somewhere) and youngsters are donning their royal blue jerseys in their thousands mate, the city has an identity now since the exodus of all things red and the people are happier now that they are not bored with tales of former glories.. :)

15.) 29 Jul 2018 18:48:15
Least we got the tales to tell eh ed25.

{Ed025's Note - yeah ben...and dont we all know it ZZZZZZZ.. :)

Keep the stories coming Firmino wouldn't it be unreal if he came, but if he doesn't you can't beat a good bullsh*ep story.

Bob Boulder came from Sheffield Wed if I can remember right but never got a game for us back in the 80s. He was suppose to be Grobbelars understudy.

I can remember back as far as Clemence and can't remember any home grown keepers. There was lots of potential but none ever came through the ranks.

Don't know about tension but when Macca posts everybody claims that this player is no good or the player isn't up to our standard and then leaves it like that and then leave the mess for the eds to sort out. I do appreciate when Macca and the eds gives us any information after all this is a rumours site.

Robbie I don't know what lallana your talking about because the Lapland that's playing now is too slow holds the ball for too long and tries too many touches. Our game has moved on from there it's too fast for him, he doesn't suit our game game now were are now one touch football and direct. We now have better players on the bench shaquiri, sturridge, even hendo who are more direct. I think he need to be moved on for the sake of his career because it after stagnating now. It's only my opinion if he stays u will support him if he goes best of luck to him .

Deisered

{Ed0333's Note - who will pay good money for a 30 year plus injury prone player whose on a downward trajectoary?

When Jack Charlton came over to Ireland he use to pay everyone by cheque and because he was the irish manager no one ever cashed the cheques. A friend of mine has a garage and he paid for his petrol and a bag of jelly babies with a cheque, he still has the cheque. He was suppose to be very tight with cash.

Deisered

{Ed001's Note - he wasn't tight with cash, there are hundreds of players he helped out financially over the years that never were asked to give it back.}

I read somewhere that he should be one of the top earners at the club and should get paid accordingly. He's on just short of Ā£200k per week and has 2 years left on his contract and wants a raise. He probably can't support his 23 kids.

Deisered

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't have lots of kids at all.}

If I remember rightly there was a lot of hype about the players coming in. Adams was the player of the year at Blackpool and Henderson was player of the year at Sunderland and we all knew knew about Downings crossing ability. Bit None were great that year. Downing was bought for Carrol so he could put in decent crosses but Kenny never played the two of them together. He took off carrol for downing or visa versa. Adams was suppose to be an expert on set pieces ( he's worth Ā£10m or more so Ferguson says on his corners alone) but didn't turn out that way. That leaves us with Jordan, he took over the mantle from Gerard and isn't doing too bad a job in my oppion. He runs, tackles, drives the team forward at every opportunity I don't think he was too bad a purchase.
