If the Echo are to be believed, Looks like Andre Wisdom will be joining Celtic after Liverpool knocked back their interest in Joe Gomez.

1.) 06 Jun 2016 10:47:08
Celtic fan coming in peace. Is this guy any good?

2.) 06 Jun 2016 11:11:49
A lot of Liverpool fans are actually a little bit miffed that Wisdom never truly got his chance. Managerial changes and failed loan spells have derailed the lads progress.

I think he'd be a good player for your club north of the border, if given the chance to play regularly and settle into a healthy environment. He was always thought of as a CB until he started playing RB. I'd still like to see the lad given a chance at CB but maybe there are reasons for his conversion?!

He's a worker, he's not going to be the best player but he's no nonsense and grafts. I really hope the lad does well if he moves to Celtic. Just my opinion on the Wisdom.

3.) 06 Jun 2016 11:21:48
He would be good at Celtic, not Liverpool material though, didn't make enough noise at Norwich to warrant a chance imo.

4.) 06 Jun 2016 11:34:36
He is a good player. He'll definitely do a good job for Celtic.

5.) 06 Jun 2016 12:05:10
His level is high championship, low Premier League so he would do well in Scotland.

6.) 06 Jun 2016 11:47:24
Thanks guys. That makes me feel a bit better haha. The problem being he'll be fine in our league but it's whether or not he can make the step up in Europe. He's still young though so here's hoping.

7.) 06 Jun 2016 14:00:25
He's a good player both north and south of the border but was constantly played out of position and his confidence took a massive hit. A hard working footballer with a fairly good football brain.

8.) 06 Jun 2016 14:38:36
Cmcbhoy. Wisdom is the least of your worries about Europe mate. BR should be your main concern.

9.) 06 Jun 2016 14:47:44
I am fairly shocked that Wisdom is off to work with BR again.

10.) 06 Jun 2016 15:14:53
Wisdom should have been used by Buck whilst here. The brendanising of him has set him back 2-3 years.

11.) 06 Jun 2016 22:20:50
Too good for Scotland. He will be wasting his career up there. He is better than that.

12.) 06 Jun 2016 22:43:05

Definitely a good signing for you guys.

13.) 07 Jun 2016 08:02:50
About right gazza.

14.) 08 Jun 2016 08:28:13
As has been said, lower PL level player, which is no bad thing and he won't be atrocious in Europe if given regular game time. As others say, very odd if BR wants him now why the ffff didn't he use him when he had the chance?

13 Mar 2016 07:48:51
Time to start pretending that you've been watching Zielinski for the past few years, and that you always sign him on Fifa or whatever you crazy kids play. Looks like it might be on.

1.) 13 Mar 2016 23:10:49
hahaha PES-scouting for me!

2.) 14 Mar 2016 07:37:16
with andy Gray or that new guys silly comments.

3.) 15 Mar 2016 15:21:59
I don't know. Zielinski looks like a fine player, but I certainly have not been blown away by what I've seen. Same with Praet.

Firmino/ Texeira were signings that excited me. Grujic, I think, has great upside; looks like a younger but more creative version of Matic (with whom he's often compared) . Gotze, of course, is an exciting potential signing.

But Praet or Zielinski? I'm not sure how they're an improvement over Hendo (when fit), Can, or Lallana, if they're to play in either a central midfield role or as AMs. Maybe on the wing, but that's only because we have zero wingers.

I'm glad the Praet rumours seem to have died down.

4.) 16 Mar 2016 01:24:21
I agree although admit I don't know either player, just not sure we need a developing talent in attacking midfield with Coutinho, Firmino, Llalana, Milner, Markovic all looking good and Ibe, Ojo, Brannagan, Kent all coming through. Would rather keep Teixera and spend only if we're certain it would improve the starting lineup (but then I could be wrong and one of these could end up being the next Firmino we knew nothing about before joining) .

29 Jul 2015 09:22:39
Quite a few of you didn't believe me when I told you that Sherwood wanted Ayew & Adebayour, not Lambert. I'm sure it was just wishful thinking on your parts.

Anyway, my little bit of info I wanted to pass on today is that the club are looking for a championship/lower level PL club to take Illori on loan this year after pricing him out of a move. I know the lad is not best pleased either.

14 Jul 2015 01:24:35
Very good chance that Benteke will be signing with us this week, but don't get your hopes up on Lambert signing for Villa - Sherwood has already requested Adebayour and Ayew.

I can't see Lambert leaving this Summer, although things change constantly.

1.) 14 Jul 2015 03:24:27
Ayew has signed for Swansea already

{Ed001's Note - maybe he meant his brother Jordan?}

2.) 14 Jul 2015 05:42:46
Hasn't Ayew signed for Swansea?

3.) 14 Jul 2015 07:47:17
Good want Ricky to stay. Want to see him score in the league at Anfield before he goes too.

4.) 14 Jul 2015 08:24:18
Just another example of another galaxy class player named Jordan that we're missing out on again, clearly our squad is lacking in that area. I'm so sick of Liverpool's terrible transfer policy that sees us go for players with blatantly short surnames just so they fit on a jersey while our rivals sign the best in the universe. If we can't attract players whose names begin with 'Sch' then everybody should be sacked and replaced by lollipop ladies wearing oven gloves.

5.) 14 Jul 2015 08:54:29
Sorry, I did mean Jordan Ayew - Forgot about Andre and the confusion he may have caused there!

Also, for what it's worth, my opinion is that Benteke will be an excellent signing - IF he can stay fit!

6.) 14 Jul 2015 10:35:57
I hope Benteke's deal is hijacked by man utd, pray lambert get a move away

7.) 14 Jul 2015 14:48:12
If we waste the Sterling money on Benteke that will prove to be as big a disaster as Andy Carroll. He won't score more than 10 goals in a Liverpool shirt and we won't be able to recoup any of the money spent on him when who ever will be in charge when Rodgers is sacked decides that he is not what we need. Worth pointing out, NO other top 4 side is interested in Benteke.

8.) 14 Jul 2015 16:36:01
But Mr D, what your forgetting is that Liverpool are not currently a top 4 side.

9.) 14 Jul 2015 22:15:31
Why leave a club that's going to finish higher than you lot.

10.) 15 Jul 2015 14:51:17
Man utd have shown some interest, last time I checked they finished in the top 4.

19 Oct 2013 08:27:17
Micah Richards has requested his agent set up a move to Liverpool in January.

Not sure how keen either club is, but know for certain that Micah is very much wanting this to happen.

1.) So who's leaving then?

Richards is a RB/CB we have just brought 2 CB'S in Sakho & Ilori, We also have Kelly & Wisdom who can play RB/CB and Flanagan yet to mention young McLaughlin who are all behind 1st choice RB Johnson.

2.) I would like him to come but think he would want too much money and as the previous poster said I don't think we will be buying anymore defenders in jan

3.) He wants to do the sturridge

4.) If we can get him for a good price then awesome, he's a powerhouse. Thing is, he'd be the back up for Johnson when injured. Don't know where that would leave big Martin Kelly either, unless he's moved to either a more central position or Michah is!? Who knows unless it happens.

It's a real shame that a lot of posters on here are clearly of the opinion that Manè is currently playing at Southampton, therefore shouldn't be signed because of the past transfers.
Pace, power and an eye for a goal comes at a premium, especially when the selling club doesn't need to sell.

Manè is the type of player who could become anything he wants to be, just needs the correct coaching and to remain humble - Something which Klopp and his team will hopefully be able to do.

1.) 08 Jun 2016 14:53:37
But he's not humble, he will have to learn humility.

2.) 08 Jun 2016 15:10:37
He isn't that good and he has a really attitude problem. Also a one good game in four player. Is that enough?

3.) 08 Jun 2016 16:22:28
He's neither humble, nor very good. Highly inconsistent and overpriced.

Maybe he's a good target at 5m. But not 40m, which SH is valuing him. What a laugh.

4.) 08 Jun 2016 16:22:52
Clearly you watch Southampton weekly Mr Dennis, so I don't need to respond to you!

Also, Ronny, Where has this question of his humility come from? All you know of him is from an agenda pushing media.

Get behind the lad, and show him some love - He might surprise you!

5.) 08 Jun 2016 17:12:12
Mane is exactly like coutinho in many ways

Once in a blue moon he has a great game . Goes missing for most games . Shows some brilliance to make everyone say he's a good player but super inconsistent

Both are overrated and need to play more often
Everyone hypes up coutinho and he was awol in both finals!

6.) 08 Jun 2016 18:25:27
What? Coutinho scored in the final against Man City and took the game to extra time. He had an excellent game and was LFC's best player. Embarrassing post red lobster, but then again, it is standard from you.

7.) 08 Jun 2016 23:02:07
I think many are just desperate to get a player in without caring about how said player's consistency, attitude and baggage will impact the team spirit Klopp has worked hard to build.

08 Mar 2015 20:42:21
Understand that Liverpool are very unlikely to be looking at him, but I was wondering if anyone has been looking at Corentin Tolisso of Lyon?

{Ed002's Note - Try the European pages.}

Just a couple of bits on U21's that interested me over the last few days.

First of all, Our talented young keeper Danny Ward is going to be going out on loan in January - Probably a league one club, but maybe championship depending on clubs needs - Leaving Vigouroux as the U21 keeper. The club are thinking they will be able to promote Ward to the backup keeper position soon, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a very temporary keeper come in this window.

The other bit of info I got was that Canos is really exciting everyone, And I'm talking everyone. There's talk of him getting in the first team squad this season at some point. Probably the cups.

1.) There are some really good players in the U21's; Ojo looked excellent against Utd; direct running and very pacey. Rossiter didn't have his best game but again a v v good player - both still 17 years old.

I hadn't seen much of McLaughlin but thought he was excellent and can see why Ed1 rates him so highly.

Wilson didn't have his best game but you can see why he is so highly rated and Canos when he came on (then played for the U18's the following day).

Petterson impressed me with his direct running but not necessarily his decision making.

If these players develop how they should in the next 2 to 3 years it could be frightening how much talent we have.

And for the record had it not been for a weak referee who seemed to not want to book any Utd players for fouls and pull backs until he had booked a Liverpool player then we would've won the game comfortably.

06 Aug 2013 20:54:29
There's a very good chance that Skrtel is leaving on a permanent deal to Zenit. Liverpool are keen to get the money for him, rather than send him on loan

10 Jul 2013 06:17:41
Just thought I would let you guys know, kind of related to Liverpool I guess - with the sell on fee etc.

Tom Ince, despite agreeing personal terms and the clubs agreeing fees, on the advice of his father, is holding out for a bigger club than Cardiff to come in for him - They won't, but he is going to drag his arrival at Cardiff out a little longer.

Just like to point out to Redforever that Dahoud is not a winger or forward, so the talk of Manè and Ojo is completely irrelevant!

Actually, don't want to be a stickler here but, he had his trial in May. Will be signing but he will also be staying at his home club for a year or so.

This isn't actually true I'm afraid.

All that happened was that Frankie Mac got on the blower to Gerrard when the kid got injured (because he's a big fan and needed his spirits picking up) and Gerrard gave them his box at the Spurs game.

I would suggest you actually look into what SOS actually do for the local community and what they have already done, and plan to do, for supporters on the wider scale before you come out with such nonsense.

I'm presuming by how daft your original post is that you became "old enough to talk" about 5 years ago, so I doubt you will.

Burnley actually beat Liverpool 2-0 in the most open behind closed doors friendly known to man.

Despite his limited playing time at Udi, he is very highly rated - Although he seems to show a lot of inexperience and is very possibly not as good as some of the young midfielders we have coming through - Personally would rather have Baio tried out.

Also, with all of you being such big Liverpool supporters, you should remember him from his two games against us last season (where Henderson generally dominated midfield)
