Just wondering whichever Ed is available, is there any chance to this at all? I only ask because of the increasing amount of reports. But I remember Ed002 being of the expectation that he was joining city. And if city are still involved I don't see him joining Liverpool as a possibility.

Firmino should not and unlikely would be a 'Benteke alternative', for one they don't play in the same position, or in even comparable styles, and for another, Firmino's a class above Benteke.
{Ed001's Note - Firmino can play as a striker though I agree he is a completely different style of player.}

Firmino stats are through the roof, never seen him play so I don't know if the stats are misleading but he is pretty much in the top 3 for everything requited of him from his position and does ol in a few others lime tackles created etc.
Who do you rate better eds kovacic or firmino?

I'm just gobsmacked that Eds aren't straight away shooting down this talk of him going to Liverpool as BS! That's not to say you're endorsing it either but Ed2 in particular has a rather subtle as a sledgehammer style of shooting down nonsense!

No chance of this happening, that ship has sailed. We should have got him last summer as a suarez replacement when he had less of a profile.
We did pay €20mill for Markovic who plays in the positions Firmino does but we haven't given him a shot in his best roles.
We're not going to be able to get a player in Firminos class so we're better off giving the kid a chance rather than blocking his path with an average signing.
Same for ibe, can, illori etc. I'd rather give them starts than bring in more senior players, squads way too big as it is.
