Match review Ed01?

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - trying to do it now mate.}

1.) 08 Apr 2017 19:24:48
Match review ed?

{Ed001's Note - still working on it, there was a lot of editing to do across the sites, so I have only been able to do it in fits and starts. Should be done in ten minutes or so.}

01 Apr 2017 16:03:05
Match review ed01 when you get the chance.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - doing it now mate. Would be done but I was watching the 3pm kick offs.}

A question for ed01 it seems we have a real conveyor belt of talent coming through our youth system. I wanted to know how much of it is down to the restructuring benitez done of the youth system all those years ago.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - pretty much all of it.}

1.) 16 Feb 2017 05:06:02
Fantastic i guess you could say it is benitez's lasting legacy.

{Ed001's Note - one of. He has had a number on Merseyside as a whole that are far more important. The best thing he ever did was bring his family to Liverpool, as Montse has done so much for the city. If anyone deserves legendary status within the city, it is the Benitez family. Forget the football, the work they do for charities etc is immense.}

2.) 16 Feb 2017 07:54:19
it's nice to hear stuff like this ed.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 08:39:26
Fantastic family, huge respect to them.

4.) 16 Feb 2017 09:36:56
Rafa still loves the club and easily inside the best tacticians in clubs history. During his time he had a brilliant core of staffs around him who were simply the best. His family still lives in merseyside and I do remember him applauded and crying in one of the Hillsborough memorial Day.

5.) 16 Feb 2017 10:48:11
Loved rafa like ed say the hole fam love liverpool. Also u wouldn't see jose or pep drop down a league like he has legeand.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 11:55:51
Would you ever have Rafa back one day ed?

{Ed001's Note - not as manager no.}

7.) 16 Feb 2017 14:14:26
If it wasn't for Klopp. I'd love to see rafa back but that won't happen. I love the man but I believe Klopp is by far the better man to manage our club.

8.) 16 Feb 2017 16:20:14
I wouldn't, LFC16. His time is gone and it should stay that way. As for what he and his fam did for the club and the community, he deserves the credit. It shows that a true gentleman cannot be found on the pitch where the cameras are on. It is when no one is there to see the great things that they do off the pitch that they can be judged and Rafa and his fam passed that test swimmingly.

9.) 16 Feb 2017 18:09:19
For all the good things Rafa and the Benitez family has done, I still can't quite forgive him for selling Xabi Alonso.

10.) 16 Feb 2017 22:13:52
Good old Rafa, brought some great memories but also put his nose in where it did not belong. In the end, he was to keen on getting involved in politics, like he has at every club he has managed at. Leopard does not change its spots. Except at Chelsea where he was like a pawn.

Around the dinner table he probably will be the most humble guy you can find but I would definitely not want to see him back managing Liverpool. His time had come and gone which ended up being the better for Liverpool.

11.) 17 Feb 2017 01:26:22
Not in a million years, Max. Rafa is history and should stay there.

25 Nov 2016 14:33:03
Hey Ed01 just wanted to ask what is your opinion of Matip so far. Or do you think it is to early to judge him, because so far he has looked like a top class centrehalf.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - so far he has been outstanding. Probably the best centre back in the league this season. Not just defensively but also when he gets on the ball he has been top class.}

1.) 25 Nov 2016 18:29:45
I have labeled him as simply the best CB in the PL this season one more than one occasion on these boards.

2.) 25 Nov 2016 19:13:36
A rather shrewd acquisition then Ed001?!

{Ed001's Note - very shrewd so far.}

3.) 25 Nov 2016 20:40:21
The fact that we got the best CB in the PL with no transfer fee and City got the clueless Stones for 50m shows you that football has gone mad.

4.) 26 Nov 2016 00:09:08
Certainly showing, so far anyway, that the eds are mere mortals after all 😂.

29 Oct 2016 19:44:11
Just wanna say outstanding before the game review from ed001. You were right in how Pardew has zero idea how to organise his team. Instead the only reason they got anything from this game was due to mistakes from us. Kudos ed01.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, it is nice to be proved right!}

Has to be Trent, nothing against Milner but Trent needs a run of games to prove that he can be the teams first choice RB.

He was a good defensive mid jonny but his lack of footballing brain limited any other role he could play. Hence why Barcelona shoved him at cb were even there he is rubbish.

dilakh2

{Ed007's Note - You can't beat a good defensive mid jonny, they give much needed extra protection compared to those ultra thin ones that just rip when you try to stretch it on.}

Lets hope he is nothing like masch then reynard. Good footballing brain is not something you associate with masch.

Cant believe Ace's joke went over your head ed01. Sakho won't be joining the saints because he ain't no saint. get it :)

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - it was so bad it would have probably been best if I hadn't got it...}

6ft shouldn't be that much of a problem for a keeper I agree with you on that MK but shay given? . You could've picked a better example, because Given was never a top keeper at any time in his career. Such an overrated player.

Sorry but Mingo wasn't excellent. He just made saves that were straight at him.

Problem is rakitic adds nothing to our midfield if he was to arrive as he isn't any better than what we already have. It would just be a case of unnecessary wages.

Why is it whenever ed02 mentions the truth of things that our club has actually done. He/ she gets labelled with having a personal vendetta against lfc. Would you prefer he/ she just told us lies and said everything is peachy when it is not.

Disagree ed025. When you have a striker like hernendaz who offers very little in buildup play, the team will struggle with creating. Sure Firmino might not score as much but if he's allround play results in nore chances created for others and himself then the team will benefit, which ultimately is the end goal. Think about it this way, last season Everton had a goalscorer in Lukaku but if the opponents stopped Lukaku then they stopped Everton. I'd rather the team not rely on just one goalscorer.

dilakh2

{Ed025's Note - your entitled to your opinion dilakh but there is a reason utd paid a record fee for lukaku..he puts the ball in the net, its the most difficult job in football mate..

All I remember about Gana is him being left on his ar*se by Coutinho when he bent it into the top corner.

dilakh2

{Ed025's Note - couts can do that to any player dilakh but its how you perform over the full season that counts, 1x gana = 10 hendo,s in my book as he actually knows what he is doing and is a footballer who is very athletic, unlike jordan who is an athlete pretending to be a footballer mate..
