Iheanacho Evans and schmeichel definitely a Manc conspiracy.

3.) 06 May 2019

The same Schmeichel that pulled off a total worldy in the first half?

4.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 21:57:53
It was a terrible attempt by Iheanacho and Kompany will never hit a shot like that again in his life.

5.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:00:03
This is heartbreaking! I will keep going to the final whistle but it hurts. No fan outside our club want us to win the league and Kompany scoring that wonder strike makes me think it ain’t our year.

{Ed025's Note - i do..

6.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:08:43
To be fair from 50 mins it was clear city were going to score, and wow what a way to do it.

7.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:22:14
Who cares if others want us to win, fact is we have been beaten by the better team to the title.
We may finish on 97,95 or 94 but whatever points total we get is just an insane season. Unfortunately city are a machine, they have dropped two points (if they win on Sunday) in the second half of the season. Sometimes you just have to accept the opponent was marginally better and deserves the title.
I want to believe but city should steamroll Brighton, my worse case scenario is they win 1-0 and score late on.

{Ed025's Note - great attitude mate..

06 May 2019 22:26:15
Well said WYRed.

9.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:32:08
Truth is that we lost it. The games against West Ham and Leicester did it. We bottled it. Shows that we really should have signed a midfielder who has guile to get through locked defences. Unless there’s a miracle tomorrow, there will be no silverware.

{Ed025's Note - you could not have done much more FMS, this is one off season and to suffer possibly only 1 defeat in a whole season and not lift the trophy is freakish mate..

10.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:39:15
Ed025 as you say a freakish season. We have the core already at the club just need 2/ 3 players to improve us and next season could be even better.

{Ed025's Note - still in the league title with 1 game to go and CL semi final makes it an excellent season barry, 99% of clubs in europe would bite your arm off for that mate...you should be very proud..

11.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:48:46
Totally agree with WYRed, if City win it then fair play to them.
They’re great to watch but I admire their work rate and how quickly they win back possession.
We couldn’t really do much more than we’ve done, but City have been a tad better.

12.) 06 May 2019

06 May 2019 22:54:32
I think city get 90+ next season as well and we may be entering into an era of complete dominance. We have been unreal this season it’s just for my money we have come up against the best team the premier league has ever seen.

{Ed025's Note - i agree den..

14.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 22:55:38
I certainly am Ed and I can tell that ALL the Liverpool fans from my neck of the woods are are very proud mate.

{Ed025's Note - and well they should be barry mate...they have given everything and thats all we supporters can ask from our players..

15.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 23:04:11
Sorry Ed025, we did bottle it. Whatever way you look at it, losing a 10 point lead and losing by one point is bottling it.

{Ed025's Note - i disagree FMS, look at the stats, liverpool have lost 1 game this season in the most competitive league in the world, thats not bottling it for me mate.. its just one of them freakish things that will probably never happen again..

16.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 23:06:20
A mad season, what can you say seems like a typical liverpool one over the last 12 years so close yet so far but we move on and keep living each game as it comes regardless of what's on the line

In terms of it being the Leicester and west ham results that cost us, for me it was always that United game simply because it was clear we were happy to go for the draw despite their injuries and the fact that this meant it officially was out of our hands if city won all their games which it seems they will. So a bit of a mistake there perhaps but other then that I don't really think you can fault the lads this season

Oh and maybe when we played city, we got back to 1-1 and kept going hell for leather allowing them to catch us out, that was the game to accept a, draw not the United game I feel.

06 May 2019 23:06:46
{Ed025's Note - i do.
=========================
For those Liverpool fans complaining that fans of all other clubs are against us should take note ; the great ed25 is believing in us and he is an Everton fan no less . I thank you sir . must admit you have more faith than me that Liverpool will do it next week . for me that ship have sailed when untied bent down well and proper for City.

{Ed025's Note - if huddersfield can hold united then what hope did united have against city roy?, they are an excellent team and so are liverpool and its a shame that one of them will miss out...its just the way the cookie crumbles mate..

{Ed025's Note - if huddersfield can hold united then what hope did united
=====================
You are absolutely right, at the time I was hoping they (united) will put up a fight being at home to one of their main rivals . but yes City is a class apart . Kompany's goal tonight as much as I hated it going in, could n't help but admire a captain taking control and giving his team the results they need a Gerrard like moment .

{Ed025's Note - united are a poor team roy so i pinned no hopes on them getting anything against city mate, burnley and leicester gave them far harder games..

20.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 23:26:06
I said it at the time and it has turned out to be true. The ref bottling sending Kompany off in our game at the Emptyhad has decided the title. You can say that they even themselves out but in a game of that magnitude they have to be right and how hasn’t gone for that I will never know.
Both teams have been great but the title has been decided by a very poor refereeing decision.

{Ed025's Note - leave it out BP, were you questioning the refs decision to not give the pen and send trent off on saturday? or his decision to give a free kick which liverpool scored their winner from?, mistakes happen and interpretations of incidents will vary from game to game mate, no 1 specific incident will ever decide a title...by the way morrisons are doing sour grapes for £1-50 a kilo if your interested..

21.) 06 May 2019
06 May 2019 23:29:48
We’ve done our but and will continue to do so, we’ve had our chances we’ve had a great season, a bit u lucky with injuries in the end but let’s be honest nobody has tried to lose tonight it was a great effort by the foxes. Still one more game have faith.

22.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 00:15:52
Can we give the bottling talk a rest please? We had a temporary dip in form which is expected for any team in a season! We’re on course to end up with 97 points, how is that bottling?!

Yes we dropped points but who’s to say if we had won one or two of those games, that we would have gone on the winning run we have?

I get that losing the title after such a great season is painful but we’ve come up against a phenomenal team in city and if they beat Brighton, they unfortunately deserve it. Two of the best premier league teams competed and they have edged it. We shouldn’t be calling our players/ manager/ club bottlers, let’s be proud of the great season we’ve had and push on.

Only a few years ago we had the likes of Ngog, Poulsen, Konchesky etc. We’ve come along way and there’s more to come. I’m proud of the team and we can / will push on and win trophies.

23.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 00:25:39
Bottled it, my arse. What ten point lead? If a draws against Leicester and West Ham and one defeat all season is what blew it for us, I'll take that and blow it every season.
It's been an incredible season and I couldn't ask for more from my team. It might not be enough to win a trophy but I'm thrilled to be even in with a chance of either.
"Are you not entertained? "

24.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 00:58:58
I only hope that UEFA don’t bottle throwing the book at City for cheating the fair play regulations the way we have the league. That will be enough to stop top players joining and will make their owners disappear.

25.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 07:55:54
FranklyMrShankly, your talk of ‘bottling it’ makes you look foolish. If you cannot understand that a team cannot go a whole season without dropping points then I don’t think you understand football. City have lost 4 games including 2 consecutive games in the week before Christmas - have they ‘bottled it’? If City beat us to the PL title - and it’s not over yet - it will be because they beat us at the Etihad Stadium by one goal in a very tight game. Neither Liverpool nor City have ‘bottled’ anything, they have given us the greatest PL title race ever which should be celebrated not whined about.

26.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 09:44:29
When you compare this season to last, we have made 1 significant leap.
We would have won all but 2 prem titles with the points we have right now, literally the 3rd highest point tally in premier league history eclipsed only by City right now and City last season.
And considering we was on the edge of losing top 4 last season I think no matter what happens we can be proud AF of this great side! Stop the negativity.

27.) 07 May 2019
07 May 2019 11:20:09
Bottling it is what the 4 teams occupying 3rd - 6th have done. It’s like they don’t want champions league next season.
