Good morning all and what a fine morning it is!

The amount of negativity on the live chat last night was unreal when we were 1-0 down, some talking like we were down and out and not in the title race etc. YES we ARE still in the race, very much still in it, the pressure is on both us and City.

We weren't lucky last night, we won fair and square! we didn't play good either, to me that shows a title winning side, we played crap yet still managed to grind out the win and got the three points.

I'd love to see what the Hendo haters have to say about last night, it shows how important he is to this team, when he and Milner came on the game changed massively! really happy to see the lad get a goal as well.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, bring on Chelsea, they won't know what's hit them at Anfield. The lads are ready for these last set of games, that trophy has Liverpool written all over it. Believe.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

haha nice one salah. peoples emotions get the better of them and it can be frustrating. I prefer to enjoy the ride, each game is 90+ mins of blood and guts with a dash of tactics thrown in. its enthralling stuff amd am more engrossed in that rather than get all doom and gloom!

There is a lot of negativity on the chat but I think a lot is down to the fact that we’ve not been in this position for such a long time that the pressure is getting to the fans more than the players. ( am guilty of this as well) Every missed pass or easy goal missed or clear peno not given! just feels horrible.
The exception of course is harry.
Am afraid to say we as Liverpool fans are just not used to having a battle to win the prem.

Thought Henderson was fantastic when he came on. I wonder if he suits that slightly higher role wasn’t that where he had his best season for us, with Gerrard sitting a little deeper.

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan as you know jordz, but he was very good when he came on last night..

It was a very intense and interesting tactical and physical battle last night.
Looking at the games ahead, I can’t see any 4-0s and whatnot.
There’s lots to mull and ponder over, but the best thing about yesterday was people stepping up to the plate when others were struggling.
That’s what it’s all about.
And cometh the hour, cometh the man - The 🇪🇬 King
The celebrations after the two late goals. Love it.
Cmon you Mighty Reds.

Dam straight Mo! Just love watching the emotions pour out of Hendo last night! Let’s enjoy the ride and believe.

We were all Hendo after he scored that goal. The feels!

I saw fans giving their own opinions on the live chat last night. Some were being critical and others were making out like we were playing magnificently when we were 1-0 down. I don’t think either is in the wrong they are just giving their opinion of which they are allowed.
On another note I made 2 predictions last night. I backed Naby to score his first goal and then comically suggested when 1-0 down Hendo wasn’t the right sub to make as he was unlikely to create or score a goal and the lad well and truly proved me wrong. Fair play to Hendo he made a mockery of my comment and played very well. However 1 swallow doesn’t make a summer. Hopefully this gives him that eye for goal back as last night he apparently matched his goals and assists record from the last 2 seasons in 15 minutes.

Hendo was motm in my opinion. Completely changed the game. He brought an energy that we didn’t have. There also has to be s case for using him in that role, let’s not forget he is not just a holding midfielder. That was a massive win last night! Great to see Salah back on the scoresheet too.

{Ed025's Note - he was very good robbie but was not on long enough for a MOTM accolade mate

Thought we showed that we are a very good side one of the best LFC teams I’ve ever seen. Southampton started well thought they may score a couple. But we never panicked and got the goals our hard work deserved.
well done salah on the 50 goals!

{Ed025's Note - to be fair i thought liverpool were awful first half sukhyrai, a bit better second half....you were obviously not about in the 80,s mate if this is one of the best LFC teams you have seen..

Salah motm. For me. His goal was pure class and if messi had scored it they would be showing it all over the world.

Its one of the best premier league liverpool sides. But the boys in the 70s and 80s won trophy after trophy. These boys, while being excellent, haven't won anything yet.

But, if klopp stays, which i beliebe he will, then we will be building a bigger trophy cabinet.

I love the way he slams his fist against his lfc badge. He is my favourite lfc manager in my adult life time. When i got into football proper kenny was player manager.

Not one person said we were “playing magnificently” at 1-0 down. I can’t recall anyone saying we were “playing well”.
A few were saying “I can’t see us scoring”, “and people think we are challengers for the league” AFTER 25 MINUTES! a

It’s the willingness to give up after 25 minutes that astounds me. Not even a third of the game gone, 1-0 down away from home and people give up.

Give the players a chance is all I would say. They have proved their resilience over this season and deserve a bit back from the fan base. Away fans were great again!

What annoyed me Ron was people saying that we'd thrown it all away weeks ago. That was said on a couple of occasions on the chat. We were playing terrible at 1-0 down but some people just get silly about it and like you say, gave up at the 25 minute mark. Maybe it's just people's nerves I don't know but I wish more people would appreciate what the team are doing instead of slating them at every single opportunity they get. It gets really silly, I want to see more fans being positive and believing but there's that large number of people who just like to moan about every single little thing instead of seeing the bigger picture like you know, us 1st in the league, 1 loss all season and having a fantastic team and manager.

Henderson was a leader last night most aggressive I've ever seen him well done skipper.

Like I said in the chat, guys just relax and enjoy the games regardless of the score . its been an excellent season and I am sure will end up a magnificent one. enjoy every minute.

He (Hendo) did say, post match, that he had a word with the boss on being a little more involved in the final third. Boy I miss those late runs! So refreshing to see that yesterday but much more was the aggression and leadership he brought in. It changed the texture of the game entirely. Fair mention to the evergreen Milner. Redmond and Bertrand had plenty joy through Trents position but Milner did change that almost immediately he came on. I also think Mane was good yesterday with his defensive duties. The lad was tirelessly running the flank up and down and I'm sure Valery will be the happiest that he won't have to face mane before the season ends again. I'm a believer in our prospect of winning it this season and to find we have only lost once all season makes me a proud man. My preference will be the league over CL glory but both will be bonus. My question is which midfield pairing would you go with for the Porto game? Cheers.

Ed025, this team is definitely not at the level of the 80s, but i reckon it's strong enough to claim the league this season. And one that i'm incredibly proud of for how they have battled and matched the billion dollar team.

{Ed025's Note - its been a great season for the reds sg and you should be very proud of your team mate whatever happens..

That live chat is toxic and full of kids. Nothing to do with nerves. Generally people more interested in slagging the players off than actually watching the game.

Spot on, Ron. What I cannot fathom is that fans were not ready to give up say vs Spurs where we won by forcing the issue in the dying moments YET prolly these same fans were prolly the ones throwing in the towel after 25 MINUTES gone.

If you can be patient in one game then how can you not be patient in another game? I think people are scared of LFC not winning the PL so they resort to Murphy's Law or project their own lack of courage and belief onto the team (who are btw, fully focused and never flustered) or other more optimistic fans just make it look like they are right and if things were to go wrong, they will actually gloat. Pathetic.

Personally, I have come to terms with the fact that we can win ALL our games and NOT win the title. That is a more than possible outcome that I have made my peace with. I propose that many others do the same esp. the "bottler" fans out there who can't take the heat of a title race whereas they were the same fans moaning as to why we are NEVER in a title race for years and years.

Hi Ed

I was about in the 80’s. I should of added to my comment best team since we won the league. I say that bcoz I never before seen us not play well but still give us (fans) believe we will score and win the game. I remember far too many sides that when they play well they win but when they don’t lose. Despite not playing well several times this season we managed to get a result. Shows signs of a great team.

{Ed025's Note - i think your spot on mate..
