Hello Ed002

Hope you doing well mate.

I may have this totally wrong but, I remember you mentioning Liverpool being potentially interested in Johan Bakayoko (kiddie from PSV) .

Looks a hell of a talent - any news of interested parties? I think spurs were keen at some point?

Many thanks.

Para-red

{Ed002's Note - Johan Bakayoko (RW) Cost effective solution for PSG but may stuggle to be a starter and that will put the player off. Crystal Palace, Napoli and Burnley have expressed an interest. Everton have a horribly lopsided set of wingers but have not made any approach as I understand it. Liverpool have looked and if they are interested it would be as a replacement for Salah but there will be far better, albeit far more expensive, options available - and they have a preferred target. Wildcard may be Newcastle but it would only make sense if there were a departure. Spurs may offer a wildcard solution.}

1.) 13 Dec 2023 08:45:03
A horribly lopsided set of wingers. That gave me a laugh, Ed.

2.) 12 Dec 2023 22:18:03
Hi Ed002, who's the preferred target, if you don't mind me asking?

{Ed002's Note - Sane - and I have answered this repeatedly.}

3.) 12 Dec 2023 23:09:44
Sane the preferred target I think you have said, Ed002. Personally think we should be looking for someone more 25 and under - Sane will be 28 in Jan. His game is heavily paced reliant as well and that’ll probably start fading in a couple of years. I’d rather go for someone like Mbuemo, 24, good performer at a smaller team, someone who can make the next step when they move to us, like Mane and Firmino did.

{Ed002's Note - Indeed and as I have explained there are far better options out there but Klopp wants Sane.}

4.) 13 Dec 2023 04:38:53
Thanks ED - appreciate it mate.

5.) 13 Dec 2023 14:13:24
That’s just insane.

6.) 13 Dec 2023 15:58:28
All signs point to Sane replacing Salah unless something changes his availability (injuries, etc) . Klopp seems to get who he wants when he's adamant about the player, for better or worse.

7.) 13 Dec 2023 16:51:54
I would be extremely surprised if Klopp managed to convince the recruitment committee of investing in a 28 year old Bayern player with a chequered injury history again.

Bakayoko certainly seems a good target although I would agree that it would be unlikely unless Salah was dead set to leave.

8.) 13 Dec 2023 22:08:23
I for one would be very disappointed if we end up going for Sane. Not that I think he's a bad player or anything, but the age bracket and Injury record plus supposed attitude issues doesn't put him in the bracket of Salah replacement in my eyes. Better off trying to convince Salah to stay than get him. As above we need to target younger potential rather than Same who would straight away be the oldest and this first person we would then need to replace again in the forward line. We tend to make big names rather than buy them in, don't tend to have much luck when we purchase the big names.

9.) 13 Dec 2023 20:10:18
Who do you think are the better options Ed.

{Ed002's Note -For me and from talking with others who know far more about players, Marcus Edwards would be an excellent choice or take a real outsider like Sebastian Szymanski who is having a great season or Matias Soule - both have a lot of potential. But Klopp has seemingly set his heart on Leroy Sane with a few options I have mentioned before.}

10.) 14 Dec 2023 21:29:01
And is Sane obtainable Ed for us financially? Have we registered our interest with Bayern?

{Ed002's Note - Read TFP. Tedious.}

11.) 15 Dec 2023 06:22:29
Been right back through them Ed. Thanks anyway.

Ironmike on the WH page reporting "
Hi all Liverpool bid accepted for Vida in front of WH IRONMIKE"

From what I've gathered over the past couple years whilst following this glorious site is, ironmike seems to know quite a lot of WH related transfers. What do we make of this people? Yay or nay on vida.

1.) 18 Jul 2018 22:57:48
Course he gets my support if he joins, looked a good player at World Cup just baffled as to how big the squad is getting. Waiting to see some leave. really hoping it’s not Gomez at least not permanently.

2.) 18 Jul 2018 23:01:36
If he still to improve our squad, Yes. In fact if we’re building a squad to compete the next season on all fronts, then I welcome all additional players. I trust our current management to know what they’re buying and how to use the squad and keep players happy.

He looked good at the WC.

3.) 18 Jul 2018 23:14:54
No way he looks too much like Voronin! It would be like going back in time 10 years!

4.) 18 Jul 2018 23:58:51
Can also play at right back, passionate, has chemistry with Lovren, has plenty of experience and unlike Matip, actually seems to know how to defend. As a back up option, I'm all for it. Vida in, Matip out would be good business.

5.) 19 Jul 2018 00:21:56
He made a world cup final. that more than covers for any world cup fever.

You. don't fluke it.

He partners well with Lovren. I'm sure vvd can partner anyone. He can cover the flanks.

An absolute brilliant deal, if we can get it done.

6.) 19 Jul 2018 01:04:28
Just went over to the WH page, Ed2's reply made me chuckle lol.

7.) 19 Jul 2018 01:17:57
I think Matip is better i hope this season he can prove us he is good enough!

8.) 19 Jul 2018 01:26:02
Looks like we may play 3 CB's at some point next season.

9.) 19 Jul 2018 01:32:41
I think central defenders look more intimidating with a skinhead. Just saying.

10.) 19 Jul 2018 06:53:10
Can’t imagine he would be coming unless one of Matip and Klavan were leaving I know it’s a long old season but can’t imagine we need Vvd, Lovren, Matip Klavan and Gomez to cover plus Vida.

11.) 19 Jul 2018 07:32:17
The more experienced and quality players we have, within reason, the more likely we are to win trophies. I want us to win trophies as we are hardly trophy laden recently so good for me. Plus I’d imagine the pressures on Klopp this year to do likewise so why risk anything as a few injuries and you’re suddenly light again like last year.

Never leave things to chance.

12.) 19 Jul 2018 07:34:37
Hasn't Lovren gone?

13.) 19 Jul 2018 08:16:36
Gone on holiday Jcw yeah lol.

14.) 19 Jul 2018 09:47:41
Not a fan of this tbh.

15.) 19 Jul 2018 10:48:02
Does no one remember Gini and Emre as makeshift Centre Backs last season?

16.) 19 Jul 2018 12:53:42
Hes got a man-bun for chrissakes.

17.) 19 Jul 2018 15:02:11

Ed001, if I might and open to the floor for comments and opinions but, get your opinion on Mane and his transition into a more central role/ False 9 position

If you have kept up with recent games, do you believe he is as good as Bobby in that role or if he does it differently, how so? Tactically are we a better side with him up front?

Your thoughts on where you think the clubs thoughts are, considering his recent success as center forward.

Sorry for the many questions on Easter Sunday and I hope everyone on the group has enjoyed the time with friends and family.

{Ed001's Note - I have not been watching any footie while in the UK mate sorry. We won when I missed a game so I have been avoiding it out of superstition.}

1.) 17 Apr 2022 15:36:09
Hi Para . I prefer him on the left.
but everyone’s opinion differs.

2.) 17 Apr 2022 16:18:00
Please God may it last Tris😃.

3.) 17 Apr 2022 15:29:57
Mane is my favourite player, so if it means we keep him and he keeps up his form, I'd happily keep him as CF. He's a different skill set and player to firmino, but he's got all the tools to play there and he has a good understanding with the other forwards, and it's probably about time to mix it up a little as teams now generally play deep against us. I'd keep Bobby too if we can, but I'd have him as 5th choice now and if he doesn't want to be that far down the pecking order, I wouldn't grudge him a move and one last big contact.

4.) 17 Apr 2022 15:29:57

Did you permanently move out from the UAE ed01?

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

6.) 17 Apr 2022 15:33:50
You might not get to watch another game this season 001.

{Ed001's Note - I hope so.}

7.) 17 Apr 2022 16:45:26
Hahah ED, your discipline to your superstitions is very commendable! I suppose all I can say is, thanks for the sacrifice 😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - you can all thank me if it works!}

8.) 17 Apr 2022 19:24:18
My superstition since the CL loss is to only follow games via the radio!

My wife usually cheers from the living room a couple of minutes before the radio catches up with TV.

Delayed joy!

But then comes VAR….

9.) 17 Apr 2022 23:47:52
Actually Ed 01, didn’t we alr lost to inter when you didn’t watch? Thought that was the game that allowed you back in while it had no impact on our season

Nonetheless, since the quadruple is on the line, better be safe than sorry.

13 Mar 2022 08:01:27
Ed's (and any Ed's would be much appreciated) .

I'd love your opinion on the following scenario. All hypothetical and therefore without getting into transfer fees (which I won't touch on), would you, on the current circumstances

1. Sell Salah - on whatever his current market value is, with the intentions of reinvesting (as ED002 has suggested we should be doing instead of creating more debt on the already existing business model)

2. Attempt to purchase Jude + Raphina - albeit, we probably would need to make further sales to acquire both of the above mentioned.

My question, and I know Salah is almost irreplaceable but for the longevity of current club finances as well as, continuing to look refresh the squad. Would this potentially soften the blow?

Maybe attached to that would be - considering the option presented (hypothetical) . would you keep Salah or cash in

Thank you sirs, your input is always valued.

Para-red

{Ed001's Note - 1. His contract has run down too low to not require him to be sold. It makes no sense to hold on and let him leave for a free if (and only if) we can get a decent return. If we can't get enough though, which is very possible in the current climate and with his age and length of contract, then we will have to hold on to him and let him leave on a free.

2. Defo Bellingham. I like Raphinha, he has quality, but I don't know enough about him away from the pitch to know whether I would want him to join the team. If he is a Klopp-type, one that would not disrupt the squad, then yes.

I think the arrival of Diaz has aleady softened the blow of Salah leaving, as he has shown that he has the potential to reach similar levels and maybe even exceed Salah. Maybe.}

1.) 13 Mar 2022 08:55:00
Agreed on Diaz IF Salah were to leave he definitely has softened the blow. Bellingham would be fantastic 🙏.

2.) 13 Mar 2022 09:00:04
Think my ideal transfer window if salah were to leave is Saka and Bellingham. Both unbelievably talented, English and both seem to have good characters. Saka in particular has bounced back brilliantly from the euros that shows great mental strength.

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - I like Saka as well.}

3.) 13 Mar 2022 09:05:47
My concern if we try sell him is the lack of competition this summer, can't see Madrid stretching to mbappe haaland and salah, though they may be able to do something if they miss out on one of the others. Can't see us selling to a PL side so that leaves PSG.

If we were to keep him and let him see his contract out we would have one of the best players on the planet for another year. One that I don't think would let up like some in fear of a big injury. But in doing this we lose a sizeable sum of money.

Hopefully something can be done but I think that big sign on fee that he could aquire or the bigger wages if he left this year makes him signing unlikely now.

4.) 13 Mar 2022 09:05:50
Thanks Ed, much appreciated!

We've been here before and the house is still standing. YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - exactly, the key figure at the club is Klopp. So long as he stays, I don't fear losing any player.}

5.) 13 Mar 2022 09:29:30
Saka would be my choice if we have to replace salah, if arsenal qualify for champ league I don't think he will be going anywhere. As ed1 said I'm not quite sure what fee we would get for Salah this summer, not sure it b massive due to his age.

6.) 13 Mar 2022 09:38:40
People forget we set out to play to suit salah!
Gutted if he goes but look footballs a business now!

Ed hit the nail on the head Diaz has softend the blow and klopp is the main factor we have!

If we could bring in raphina Bellingham/ Ramsey a left back and a striker and ship out a few I think we’d be in a better place I know salahs goals are off the charts but we’ve been here before with Torres saurez etc!

7.) 13 Mar 2022 09:38:58
Personally I would sell him for whatever when can get, IF he doesn't sign a new contract. I would rather get something than nothing. At least it is something towards a replacement.

8.) 13 Mar 2022 09:46:43
Love reading peoples opinions and debate on here regarding the Salah situation.

I’m very much In the camp that we should be going above and beyond to keep him but that’s only my opinion.

What has been said and I agree with is there’s not a lot worrying will do about it and we have the best manager in the world with some of the best players in the world. And we will continue as a club with or without Mo.

As it looks we only have 2 years left to enjoy Klopp and possibly a few months more of Mo so we might as well enjoy it whilst it lasts and get that quadruple or as close to it as possible.

9.) 13 Mar 2022 10:27:31
Jk mate what length should the club go for a player who will be 31 when he's contract is over with us?

10.) 13 Mar 2022 11:01:29
Arsenal will get top 4 this year, think that ends any hope of getting Saka outa there this summer.

11.) 13 Mar 2022 10:17:27
If he’s asking double the current salary ceiling though, then he’s got no chance and I dare say he’s aware of that actually.
I can’t believe that the club came out of the last financial year in a good state, after some very stringent housekeeping.
No way are they going to blow it open for one player, even if it is Salah.
Agree on Klopp too, he looks so much more relaxed and healthier this year too.
The previous year was tough on him and his family.

12.) 13 Mar 2022 11:16:30
I agree with eds1 in that if we can’t get enough for salah then run his contract down. Personally I would prefer Saka to raphinha. And getting Bellingham would be a real statement going forward! Am more worried about losing klopp not salah.

13.) 13 Mar 2022 11:23:11
If Mo has no intention of signing the best deal LFC are going to offer, I'd sell him in the summer.
Diaz has the potential to be better than even Mo. He has more skill.
Buy another striker.
We might not get someone who bangs in as many as Mo, but we could have a couple of players chipping in to replace the goals he scores.

14.) 13 Mar 2022 11:23:39
Kopforever good question mate and I don’t think it’s one cap fits all. We’re not talking about a squad or any old player here. We’re talking about a player that is argued as the best in the world and shows no demise physically at this point in time.

If we were talking about every player that will be 31 and over at that time on big wages then Im guessing it’s curtains for Milner, Hendo, Thiago, Vvd, Matip, Bobby, Allison and Mane as well then.

I think apart from Matip and Mane the other 6 are our top 7 paid players.

For me it’s simple. The only reason Salah will go is because we won’t pay the money (for lots of different reasons) and he’s being a greedy sod who’s holding the club to ransom despite us being the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

I have no qualms about calling him out for being greedy and us letting him go because of that but please I’m not buying the

He’s too old
He might get injured after signing
Diaz is better
We can just buy someone to replace him
We’ll just have the way we play
He’s been off form and not scored as many goals since the Afcon
Every other player will want the same money as him (surprisingly he’s been our highest paid player for a while and there’s no reports of players beating down Klopps door to get the same 220 a week)
Etc etc.

Let’s just call a spade a spade. If he goes it’s because he’s tried to hold the club to ransom and the money men do not believe he is worth it and he goes and the club moves on.

15.) 13 Mar 2022 12:15:56
At the end of the day how much money does make you happy. I mean salah has already got more than he can spend. Like JK23 says if he goes it mite be down to money because if he stays he likely to win cups plus a wage rise. Am not saying he won’t win with Barcelona or RM either. If his dream is to play for RM then so be it.

16.) 13 Mar 2022 12:26:52
Do you thik Milner Allison Hendo Mane VVD Thiago Matip Bobby would've demanded to be highest paid in the league would be entertained here?

You're missing the point even CR7 looks fitter then ever aesthetically 😂😂

Salah will start losing he's pace we like it or not . how many players maintain their pace when they're 31-34?

Even if he signs in next 2 yrs will need to replace him coz it's impossible to Play with same intensity pace power once u reach 33 no matter how good you look aesthetically.

Think it's better to move from Salah when Klopp is still here to sort out for next phase of players/ team then kicking the can down for next manager having to deal with the elephant in the room. Of coarse Klopp can change he's decision and extend he's contract who knows but the fact remains Salah isn't our future we need to prepare life without him.

He signs or not don't think it matters when we are building for the future and he isn't the future.

17.) 13 Mar 2022 12:51:18
Kopforever is Hendo, Mane, Vvd, Allison, Bobby, Thiago and Milner the future of the club?

If we’re building for the future and they’re not the future then we should get some decent sales return for them in the summer to buy Salah’s replacement 😜🤣.

18.) 13 Mar 2022 13:00:24
I'm Sure Milner Bobby Hendo Thiago including Mane aren't going to last here for another 5 yrs or even get their contracts extended

Allison is still very very young for a keeper doesn't need aesthetics for that 🙈😂😂.

19.) 13 Mar 2022 13:18:24
You seem to have a thing for aesthetics mate 👀🤣

I’d imagine diving to make saves from balls travelling at 70 mph plus is all about that slow twitch muscle fibres 😜.

20.) 13 Mar 2022 13:46:33
You seem to have a thing for aesthetics mate 👀🤣 "thought that's how you judge players fitness"? 😂😂

Ali is going to be here for the next 5 yrs bar injuries 🤞😊👍.

21.) 13 Mar 2022 17:01:56
I love Diaz like everyone else but c'mon. better than Salah? He's come into the league as a bit of unknown quantity. let's wait until teams are doubling or even tripling up on him like they have to Salah for years now before getting carried away. Also for all his great start its 2 goals in 10 appearances if that averaged out over a season it'd scrape double figures, Salah has 28 with two months of the season left. Instead of spending the Salah transfer fund in our heads why don't we imagine keeping him, having maybe the best pair of wingers in the league and strenghten where we actually need it this summer. the midfield. Get that position sorted and we would be unbeatable.

I have never experienced such an atmosphere before. it is WOW.

Ed02 firstly I come in peace. Hopefully we can have a civilized chat. Look I totally get your ill feelings toward the Liverpool supporters that use social media or even this site as a platform to send disgusting threats to any of our players or other players of other teams. I must add that obviously in this technological advanced society that we now live in, messages and personal thoughts are posted at a faster rate as well as to a bigger audience (twitter etc) . Obviously I'm not teaching you anything new here but I genuinely feel this isn't a "Liverpool" problem as such but rather a generational change in mindset or the same mindset passed on but now with a bigger platform to be voiced and heard. Once again I'm not disagreeing with you but maybe pointing out a larger problem in football/ generation rather specifically LFC.
As for the Klopp debate. I genuinely think and I wasn't closely following this site during the brendan days, that we backed him till literally things started falling apart. His style wasn't attractive enough and also felt his recruitment and more importantly who he could attract wasn't good enough for Liverpool football club. Was he an upgrade on Roy Hodgson and CO? Certainly, but I think he took us as far as he could possibly go. In comes Klopp. Now in the footballing world (as fans) I've met very few people that can honestly say they dislike Kloppo but rather "I don't enjoy Liverpool but i don't mind Klopp". Now probably irrelevant to the argument but I believe most of the time Jurgen does know how to play to the media and actually gets away with it a lot of the time whereas somebody like Mourinho wouldnt. That's purely his personality and it's a huge bonus for us as a club to be having a likeable character at the helm of our team. Very weak point I agree but it is something to add. From where he has taken us and in such short space of time is quite remarkable. I've never witnessed such breathtaking football in my supporting days and I feel I deserve it to myself to enjoy this ride whilst it lasts. So the entertainment factor has been a huge bonus for him signing. As for results, well from where we were, I believe Klopp has done a very decent job. He's qualified twice for the champions league and he's put us back on track and during a very ruthless time in the Prem (pep, Jose, Wenger, conte, poch. ) .
With that I do believe his transfers on a large part have been pretty successful and if they weren't they've been for pocket change (Matip, Karius) . You once said, and it really put my red tinted glasses into perspective for me that, "Liverpool don't dine at the top table anymore". That was reference who we could attract to our club. Now I couldn't agree more with you but that was 2 years ago and I believe the quality of player that Klopp is now attracting is of a calibre far greater than Brendan could fetch and is on the upward trajectory ( Fekir, Allison and so on) . To the real debate, Karius. Do I believe he's the answer, absolutely not! Am I allowed to have that opinion? Absolutely! I enjoyed Ed25 post about this snowflake environment that we live in and how people are unable to criticize anymore! Do I believe it's Klopps bad judgement that could possibly cost us major points this year? Yes but that doesn't change my support for him. The ship is ultimately sailing in the right direction and the time for panick is nowhere on the horizon. One player won't change that or even a couple. However I am a fan and therefore have that right to criticize and complain within reason (btw I have no social media outlets) . Now I believe you have pointed out on a numerous amount of times about the tapping up incidents. My answer is I fully agree with you and really I don't know enough on the inside as you do!

Just to summarize. I support Klopp but can also criticize his tactics and players he might stick with but I'm fully against abuse and player bashing. I would fully believe that most fans feel the same as I do but because of the generation we live in, the tossers amongst us and their views seem to be amplified and overshadow genuine support and genuine criticism.

I'm fully aware this post will probably cut this site in half with opinions but I'm not trying to antagonize ed02 or pretend that my footballing knowledge overseees his. It's an opinion and I'm here to be corrected if need be. Thank you all and hopefully Ed2 you don't take this the wrong way.

Para-red

{Ed002's Note - You are absolutely right it is not a problem confined to Liverpool but within the "civilized" world Liverpool lead the way. Nobody is denying that Klopp has Liverpool playing well, or at least he did for part of last season. Nobody is denying that the players and the coaching staff should be immune from anyone rationally criticizing them - they should however not need to face death threats, threats to their children and threats of having their hme set ablaze. That is unacceptable, and that is the problem.}

1.) 11 Jul 2018 13:20:34
Brilliantly put, Ed.

2.) 11 Jul 2018 13:37:37
I know death threats and whatever are horrible, but you'd have to imagine 90% of those are from kids aged 10-16 and the rest are just bottom feeding scum. I hope the players see that and know that their true fans are the only opinions that matter, and while we may scrutinize their performance we would never wish any ill-harm to them whatsoever. I hope to god Karius can recover and show us what he can be, but he is going to need tremendous mental strength as no matter what there will always be these kinds of 'supporters' bashing him and making him suffer.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously not, hence Klopp explaining last season that the rubbish on social media had gotten to two Liverpool players.}

3.) 11 Jul 2018 13:44:57
Thanks very much Ed02 and totally agree with the above.

4.) 11 Jul 2018 15:12:56
Only the "gangsta" life should have death threats. There is no other place for such vileness ex specially a god damn GAME of all thing ;_;
Luckily those idiots have never probably been to a game in their lives, never will, and have no excuse like living in another part of the country or abroad.

Karius got a great reception at chester which shows what real supporters we do have.
I don’t remember the last time i’ve heard our own fans target boos at a single player of ours before? Maybe a couple times booing the entire team after a rubbish performance in the past like.

Social media is such a toxic place it’s unbelievable at times. One person turns into a keyboard warrior and everybody else sees that and decides they want to be sheep and follow along too which spirals out of control ;_;

5.) 11 Jul 2018 16:29:23

Philinho, let me introduce you to a certain Lucas Leiva who constantly got booed by our own "fans" at Anfield or on SM.

7.) 11 Jul 2018 16:59:40
Which ed changed "phone" to "fat fingers"! Fekir haha
Oh shizzle yeah I forgot Lucas got booed. Was only by a small minority I think though wasn’t it and not the entire crowd? Any others you can remember BRover?

Well put para. If the internet has taught me one thing it's that there are some vile people out there and a lot more than I previously imagined. Hiding behind their screens it's so easy to "hope someone's child dies" god I'd batter someone who said that to my sister. (salt and vinegar, lovely) see I'm doing it! I wouldn't batter them, I'm not a fighter. I better stop digging my own grave.

9.) 11 Jul 2018 18:15:19
Haha PH became a keyboard warrior for 5 seconds ;) at least you spotted it, admitted it and stopped xD

It amazes me though how vile some people can be, I wouldn’t even wish a fall on somebody let alone a form of tragedy or illness (like the scum who wish cancer on people) because i’m a HUGE believer in jinxing.

All started when my mum killed Steve Irwin! We was watching crocodile hunter and she said something along the lines of how has he not been killed yet.
A few days later he was dead!
Ever since then i’ve never questioned why somebody is alive (except myself) or wished any type of hurt on anybody.

I certainly think it's a position we could upgrade. Is it higher on the priority list than some other positions? Don't think so.

Not entirely convinced by Konate but he is fairy young as CB's goes.

I will say with the current tactics, he does get exposed a lot more and that could be why I'm not entirely cemented.

Love me a bit of Smithy ED25 - and I'm South African
Life's about "timing" and I've never known a man like his timing.

But cheat he is.

{Ed025's Note - I’m not saying he’s not talented Para. Certainly better than average but will never be one of the greats mate ..

One of the most valued things among the British culture/ empire which, to me, separates itself very uniquely is the tradition and history.

Considering what roles and responsibilities the queen carried out at a very young age (and intense time at that) - I stand with the decision in honouring history and tradition but more importantly remembering a fantastic servant to the empire.

God save the Queen.

I thoroughly enjoy watching Arsenal ED14. Attractive football and if not us, definitely you guys!
And Saka is incredibly talented and wonderful to watch although Gomez had his number (personally) .
Good luck for the rest of the season!

{Ed014's Note - I’m with you mate, always like watching you play and if not us 100% you!

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that we are ignoring one critical aspect in most sports - space. For all the intricacies to this new "fad" of playing through the middle with an overloaded centre nullifies our weapons in Salah/ Nunez/ Diaz. Far too often do I see Mo receiving the ball 50 yards away on the touchline with hard yards to get into decent shooting positions

Ed has mentioned it on plenty of match reviews that it doesn't work and If it does? Only To a certain style of opposition setups

Gone of the days where our fullbacks were competing with each other for the most assists.

Strangely enough, there's enough evidence throughout the year that JK, when reversed back to his original style, that we played with more fluidity from back to front and created more using the width of the pitch.

Sniffing around the top of the table and challenging is something I'm always joyfully grateful for but, the intensity to provoke crowd interaction and enjoyment is slowly dissipating which is why Klopp and Anfield was/ is such a great fit

In Klopp I trust but man oh man, can I shake him ?.

Gentlemen, the excuses and complaining isn't going to change anything. Do what the team is doing right now - focus on the next game.

At no point, was or am, happy with the weekend's performance but, there's no conspiracy. Sour taste? Yes! But the overreaching is unhealthy.

Anybody else come on here just to have a giggle at the outrage? I do.

Tough times ahead kids but that's sport I'm afraid. in fact life. Enjoy the ebbs and flows of winning and losing.

Always enjoyed your posting MK

But, that seems rather hard to believe. I'm not suggesting it's not true but it's hard to believe that a professional would resort to that sort of behaviour?

Anyhow, thanks for the insight and I'd be super upset if Diaz were to leave because of that.
