Good performance that, a point away against a good Arsenal team is something to be welcomed.

Very good defensive display. Midfield were better as well. Shame Frimpong couldn't make the right final pass but he played well, and Gakpo was a good out ball option as was Wirtz.
Glad with a point.

💯% everyone should be happy with that performance. That is progress 👏.

08 Jan 2026 22:29:32
Controlled the 2nd half and didn't look in any bother.
Just wondering if a fresh pair of legs up top with 10 - 15 minutes to go might of got us something more out of the game? Chiesa perhaps to run at them?
Injuries piling up though and doesn't look good for Bradley knowing how fragile his body is.

Get well Bradley soon defended lot better tonight the team.

What's the thoughts of everyone?

Considering no Salah, no number 9 I thought that was a solid team performance. Might have even nicked it on another day. But I thought the effort was there and for me that's what's required first and foremost.

I thought they panicked in the second half and Arteta seems to lose his cool if it's not going his way. Just my thoughts.

Cheers reds.

Not bad for an unfit, unbalanced, team with a manager who's been told he's leaving.

08 Jan 2026 22:25:32
We were the better team in Arsenal's back yard. The same Arsenal who everyone is waxing lyrical about week in week out.

For me, Arsenal are not a great side and tonight proved it. Aside from the first 20 minutes when they didn't actually create a chance we dominated the game on a night where a win takes them 8 points clear.

They're a team of centre backs and Saka. Keep him quiet and the only way they score is a set piece. If they do win the title they'll be the worst champions since Leicester but at least Leicester were exciting.

It was fairly easy for us really.

{Ed025's Note - you mean the worst since you last season Sean, that was the worst on record mate, but you were the better side tonight..

Solid second half to be fair but not much cutting edge although they are a good defensive side and we had no striker. Got pressing more and playing.

Turgid first half. Parked the bus. Couldn't string passes together. Seems to be our strategy to play ultra passive in first half then try second half.

Second half could give me hope if I thought we would press and try like that from the off in every game from now on but we won't. This mid block or whatever he is hoping for has to go. We have to press. No ifs ands or buts.

I'm starting to get seriously pissed that we know what to do but refuse to do it.

Opinions I guess Ed but I thought we were consistent last season without being spectacular and very tactically astute. We always did enough to win games and scored lots of goals. We were a very creative side going forward.

This Arsenal team play to not concede and hope to score from a set piece. They are the most disingenuous team I've ever seen. They constantly foul at every opportunity and have a lot of physical strength yet fall over if you go anywhere near them claiming they've been shot.

Other than Saka they have zero creativity. Their most creative outlet is a corner where they play like an American Football team. I think they'd be the most boring, underwhelming champions in Premier League history.

{Ed025's Note - you could be right Sean, this season could even eclipse the most boring one ever which was last season, the game is going to the dogs mate when that last night is supposed to be entertainment im afraid..

Much better from the Reds tonight.
0-0 result but for the first time in a while I witnessed the midfield really having a go, thought we were the better team on the night, especially second half, can't believe Bradley is injured again, looks serious, recover soon young man. We are going to need Big Joe.

Slot masterclass ;) but great point in fairness. We need Guehi. Thread bare on defensive cover.

After the Bradley injury which is absolutely gutting to be honest, I can see us going all out for Guehi.
Gomez to be used as RB cover for Frimpong.

Better second half but toothless up front. Trying though at least.

Is it mandatory that the first half is horrendous.

We pressed more on the second half and looked a million times better. I hate this passive defending. It sucks and it allows the opposition have the ball for ages.

If that Arsenal team win the league, then every Premier League manager apart from Arteta should lose their job. And probably be banned from football for life for letting that shower win the league.

They were rubbish and they were unambitious. A Liverpool team devoid of both confidence and forwards played far better than them in the 2nd half, and they didn't seem interested in engaging us in a football match. They didn't have a single shot until the 90th minute in that 2nd half.

2 managers not wanting to lose a game

That's what the PL champions and the champions elect have to offer.

As a showpiece, that was dogrubbish.

Unbeaten in 10 though.

I know we didn't create anything like a clear cut chance, we were by far the better team in the second half, and nobody will ever convince me that this Arsenal team are anything special, the form we've been in, they should've steamrolled us into submission, but they were second to everything after half time.

It just pains me that we couldn't muster at least a couple of decent attempts. Still, positives and all that, we were the better side tonight. Putting on my tin hat for all the pelters I'll get from the negative ninny's about to come my way….

Let's give our boys some credit today. We have many players out but we dominated the second half. Such a shame for Bradley as he was having a good game. Shout out to Kerkez as well tonight who was really good. Disgraceful at the end by Martinelli, he should have been off.

Is that your Slur Alec impression? If so, it's great!

08 Jan 2026 21:58:45
Martinelli should be banned for a long,
long time. It was quite clear Conor had suffered something as bad as an acl, and Martinelli first threw the ball at him, and then tried to haul him off the pitch when he was clearly in distress.

Really disgusting.
