Wanted Geetruida when we first got Slot as he can play RB/ CB and even lb. Not sure why he went to Leipzig. Apparently Sunderland had a £2.5m loan then £23m permanent. So not sure if we will also have the £23m full buyout.

Well look at that, we play some direct football and it worked. As happy as I am to see it I feel Slot has absolutely ruined what was meant to be our most promising season yet. Couldn't care less if he wins every game from here on out, the fact that he deliberately refused to play like that all season is absolutely unforgivable.

There's no doubt the tactics are the issue and even if he changes them now it's too little too late for me.

Pointless coming on telling everyone I told you so when we win a game and then go MIA when we lost to Bournemouth.

Credit to slot and the boys last night great result. But we need to win most of the league games remaining now.

Is that not kinda like people pulling out the 450m to be able to put down any good performance JK? Were not winning the league we all know that so people can throw that around every every good result between now and May. Still doesn't take into account we also lost some very good players last summer.

Net spend is the key figure. Without the sales income some of the buys weren't feasible. Look at the picture over several windows, we hardly bought anything in previous years. Guess it depends on agendas and angles.

Can anyone explain what happened with Calvin Ramsey. When we signed him - I'd taken a look at some of his clips (I know YT clips can make anyone look good). At the time he was getting good reviews andbit seemed that Aberdeen fans were sorry to see him go. I thought "we've got a good one here".

I know he's had long injuries but I read here that people are not impressed.

Is it a lack of talent, application, just doesn't fit in, bad luck or did the Transfer Committee just 'get it completely wrong' on this occasion?

Genuinely interested to know more. if anyone can share.

Right now he is our only fit natural RB that is in and around the first team, if he doesn't get a chance now I don't think he ever will here.
I remember seeing him a few times when he signed and looked like he had potential.


For me Endo isn't the answer at RB, he looked good against a poor Qarabag, tonight will be a lot different. If I were guess I think we will see Szoboszlai there for his athleticism over Jones.

I believe he was carrying a pretty serious injury the summer we signed him, which ruled him out for most of his first contracted year with us.

Meanwhile Bradley had a brilliant loan at Bolton while Ramsay was on the treatment table and earned his place to become Trent's understudy.

From there is looks like 2 years of loans have not worked out for him, littered with injuries. Difficult to know how much of that is down to his effort or just bad luck.

His 60 minute appearance vs Palace in cup looked promising to me so I am surprised he hasn't had a sniff again. I don't see the harm at this stage given our options.

I think he's just not that good tbh.

Despite that, I'd have probably given him a run in the FA Cup at least given our right back situation.

I suspect long-term injuries really mess up your development if they come in the crucial 17-22 age range. If you lose a year or so during that period, you are always playing catch-up.
We have seen a lot of really promising youth players fall out of contention over the years when they get bad injuries early on.


There was so much buzz around K Gordon, and Baj - but I fear injuries have wrecked their key development years.

Jones isn't being let go without a replacement, not when Slot has openly complained about the size of his squad after the injuries. I have seen a few rumours suggesting that Inter Milan are recalling Benjamin Pavard from Marseille and are going to loan him out to Liverpool in order to make the Jones deal happen (it's also dependent on Frattesi joining Nottingham Forest).


In terms of depth squad depth I think Slot will be forced to replace Jones from within, it likely means Nyoni will get more minutes (after rumours about how he was unhappy about his lack of opportunities, this is one that he'll have to take), got to get the academy conveyor belt moving again I suppose.
