Good Afternoon,

Long time reader of the site but first time poster. Want to start by thanking the Eds and everyone who posts to make the site such an enjoyable daily experience to check.

Started supporting Liverpool around 1995 (long story involving Robbie Fowler and a cereal packet) but think given all the ups and downs in that period this is becoming the first side I am finding fundamentally dislikeable. Not as people at all, what I hear from all the players is they are lovely guys, but to watch for 90minutes.

I cannot personally fathom why this is, changing from such a high intensity, effective style, to this over-coached malaise of football is mind boggling to me. Obviously results are not good enough and I wonder why and would be interested to hear where others think the cause of the problem lies?

The Manager - I will admit I have never been fully convinced by Slot but even friends of mine who loved him last season cannot comprehend the move to this slow, passive (some say European) style of play. It must be a deliberate choice so does the cause of this season lie with him?

The Recruitment Team - I have seen the criticism of Hughes on this site and can understand why. To leave the squad with effectively two senior wingers, three senior centre backs and about 400 midfielders who all want to play in the same position doesn't make a huge amount of sense. It did seem a bit 'kid in a candy shop' paying full prices for everyone and not being focussed on what we actually needed.

The Players - Hardest one for me to accept this as I love them individually as I have every player since I started supporting the club. However some of the drop offs this season are startling. Mac Allister constantly losing the ball through poor passing or trying to dribble when he isn't quick enough. Konate's head clearly elsewhere, Gakpo being so easy to mark with his one move (cutting inside) meaning it's easier for teams to double up against Ekitike and Salah. Salah I will love forever and I can see even he is frustrated by his form but he certainly looks a shadow of his former self.

Prehaps there is also a fourth option, the Ownership maybe for seemingly handing the running of the club to people looking more and more out of their depth. Edwards for his hiring (I have always struggled to understand why the best people for the jobs seem to be a lot of people he has worked with at Portsmouth).

Anyway just my thoughts, be very interested to hear other people's views on where the root cause of the current issues (and by current I mean since we won the League really) are.

I always ask myself, what would Klopp have done with this group of players?

Remembering how he brought many academy players into the team through necessity, yet still played his way. And we won. And it was exciting.

So much as Hughes/Edwards bought to change our attacking style, and as much as Salah fell off a cliff, along with Macca and Gapko, and as much as broken bones and other injuries decimated certain positions, and, of course, the death of DJ RIP...



There is no doubt Klopp would have stayed true to his principles... all of which means the dire s**** we are watching now is because of Slot's principles?

What was the reaction from the crowd at the end of the game?
I don’t see us winning Wednesday night or away to Brighton on Saturday morning. So after that with an international break and 7 games to go will this torture end?

Boos at the end of the game, to the extent that Szoboslai was asked about it in his post-match interview. Apparently tickets were still available up until yesterday. If true, it speaks volumes.

Slot should have been sacked 10 times over by now. Can't see it happening at this late stage. Hughes and Edwards have just as much to answer for. Hopefully, FSG clean house come June.

If I was John Henry and co and I really wish I was but alot of heads need to roll at the end of the season. Am I annoyed? Ofcourse I hate to see my beloved team lose and that draw feels like a loss. But am I surprised, not one bit.

This an has gone from supposed tactical genius last season to tactical clown, atleast we got a point I guess. I won't stop watching the games but at this point it's becoming unbearable to give 2 hours.

We never look like we are going to score and to be honest we have not got a 25/30 goal forward hopefully when Isak comes back we can get the goals. Gravenbirch needs to start tackling you can't carry him in midfield any longer at least Maca gets stuck in and wins us a free kick like today. God help us Tuesday if play like we did today.

Slot has completely destroyed everything Klopp built, and the longer this goes on the more damage it's going to do going forward.

I can't believe our owners are just going to sit there and let this carry on, players' heads will start turning and thinking about ways out of the club. Just letting this happen can do so much damage.

I'm not so sure, SR.
Gala will set up deep, dive at every opportunity, and frustrate us as much as possible. And then play a full counter (if they had any sense).

If they get a goal before we do, this tie is fully over. We'll panic and just force s*** long balls as we do under pressure.

We can't beat an extremely poor Spurs side. I very much doubt we'll do any better against a Galatasaray side who have beaten us twice and know how weak and badly organised we are.
