Bellingham is an excellent player. but he's certainly learned how to fall down from his time at Madrid.

Agree7 Disagree0

16 Jun 2024 21:55:56
Look forward to England getting knocked out.

16 Jun 2024 22:07:22
Maybe we can put a cheeky bid in for him.

16 Jun 2024 22:19:18
Gotta say hats off to Southgate.

I know international footie is dreck, but I didn't think it was possible to make a midfield and attack consisting of Rice, Trent, Bellingham, Foden, Saka and Kane look like they were part of a bad League One side.

Truly a special talent. Watch him bore his way to the semi final.

16 Jun 2024 22:51:36
Did nothing in the second half. Let’s see if he can be excellent both halves of a game. Should have been pushing the team forward in second half. Thought Trent did well as an 8.

16 Jun 2024 23:44:29
Yet we won and didn't look like conceding. The second half was dull but we got the goal early and maybe played within ourselves. It was the first game of what is hopefully a long tournament.

17 Jun 2024 00:11:38
Agree warmachine on both Bellingham and Trent.

Bellingham was full of energy in the first half but did nothing at all in the 2nd. Maybe I'm bias but the love in shown to him by pundits on bbc was way over the top.

Guehi or Saka was MOM for me.

{Ed025's Note - or even our marvelous keeper Bmena?..

17 Jun 2024 00:36:02
Bellingham was MotM. Pundits have to talk things up. Bellingham was the talking point because he played well, scored the winning goal, was our youngest player on the back of a great season for Madrid. He was the story of the night and we have to have a story.
If we'd seen Madrid play like England tonight we'd be talking about how they just get the job done.

17 Jun 2024 01:00:24
Didn’t look like conceding?

Did you watch the full game Rigsby?

17 Jun 2024 06:01:54
I’m sorry but England were dreadful. Also I I’ve never seen a player as smug as Bellingham in quite some time. Undoubtedly a talent, but his entire manner on the pitch is dreadful.
Big time Charlie in the making.

{Ed001's Note - here we go, drag down the player who has made something of himself. Bellingham is a nice lad and I very much doubt he will ever be a big time Charlie.}

17 Jun 2024 06:11:01
I think you might just be bias Bmena.

Bellingham great in 1st but did. Nothing in 2nd? You’ve just perfectly summed up Saka who you gave MoM to mate.

Did Bellingham fade out of the game as it wore on? Sure, but there were moments he was a completely different gravy to anyone on the pitch. They kicked the sh@t out of him all game.

Hard to believe he’s only 20 and looks like the leading light of that team.

I was pleasantly surprised in first 20 mins by England, we look dominant, assured and slick. The least 70 mins was sadly back to dull Southgate football that I can’t watch in between tournaments.

17 Jun 2024 08:04:01
I watched it all, Ron.
I saw England get an early goal and see out the game for an important win in the first game. We could have kept the ball much better in the second half but we played fairly risk free football having done the damage early on.
Serbia had six shots and only one on target that being a long range shot straight at Pickford. They also put in a few decent crosses that were dealt with. We didn't look like conceding to me.
What did you see, mate?

17 Jun 2024 08:27:04
Bellingham was confident, and has every right to be, he’s literally being playing since he was 16, big time Charlie is unfair, I’m pretty sure if he was a big time Charlie he wouldn’t have made such an effort to be multilingual as he is and make the absolute best of his talent, you don’t get that far without hard work. Personally think he’s a bright confident lad who knuckles down and works his arse off. Shame he will never play for us.

17 Jun 2024 09:19:10
I saw Pickford make a great save tipping a shot over the bar, I saw Kane get his head in the way of a goal bound shot.
I saw Serbia miss the target when I would have scored.

Serbia weren’t good enough but we definitely tried our hardest to throw that game away, like many of England’s Southgate games.

17 Jun 2024 09:37:59
I thought Bellingham was great and seems like a great lad.
He once tried to talk about himself in the third person which made me want to throw a shoe at the screen but it was hopefully only a one-off.

17 Jun 2024 09:43:22
@Victor are you saying Bellingham “literally” didn’t play football before he was 16?

17 Jun 2024 09:53:53
Not dragging him down Ed. Just commenting on what I’ve seen. The posing. The preening. Seen it all before. Maybe you should take your England Rose tinted glasses off and you’d see that too.

{Ed001's Note - England rose tinted glasses? You are really embarrassing yourself now. More ignorance. Perhaps you should actually learn about the lad before turning on him out of a complete lack of any knowledge of him. He is about as far from a big time Charlie as it gets. Go on and listen to his interview about the celebration of his goal and tell me how big time that is. There is nothing worse than people making assumptions out of pure unadulterated ignorance and you are doing that now.}

17 Jun 2024 09:54:36
Wondered how long it would be until people started to turn on Bellingham. Have to say didn’t think it would be as early as game one!

Love to build people up and tear them down don’t we!

17 Jun 2024 10:03:53
A great save, Ron? ?
Anyway, I respectfully disagree with you. I saw England trying not throw the game away. Playing low risk football and often just clearing the ball from danger areas.
The result and stats show that England didn't do enough to throw the game away as you have claimed they tried to do.

17 Jun 2024 12:18:08
He genuinely looks like a special talent that is incredibly humble and more importantly looks to just be expressing himself and having fun, which I think is a problem in England especially having very talented players get their creativity and love for the game coached out of them for the sake of pragmatism. LFC fan or not JB is an absolute joy to watch play and talk so openly and genuinely. Far to little of it these days and we just be happy he is proud to wear the England shirt. He genuinely makes me want to watch England games again.

17 Jun 2024 14:50:36
He seems like a nice enough lad to me for a youngster. Incredibly talented and above all else he has excellent manners and respect which I believe is rare nowadays with youngsters. Clearly raised right, I wish the lad the best of luck, I think we'll see special things from him.

17 Jun 2024 18:21:45
Ed01 to be fair, the England game was the worst and least exciting game I have watched so far and I've watched near all of them fully bar 2 of them. Absolute rubbish served up as the players had NO idea what they were doing nor where they were supposed to be. Even the Albanians knew what they were doing and could have pulled the upset vs Italy.

As for Jude, the kid is as well-grounded as you will ever find based on his words and the way he carrys himself. His parents esp. his mom seems to have a good influence on him. He is a boss player as well hence, the true role model, IMO.

Nyone calling Jude smug, is jut projecting and suffering from some serious jealousy and bitterness issues and needs to go sort themselves out, IMO.
