Got to love the arrogance of Neville and Keane. Arsenal are now apparently the only title challengers as we drew with Man U yesterday. Van dijk correctly stated Man U played for the draw then Keane says he is disrespectful and we have only won one premier league in 30 years… how many have Man U won in 9 years? Right zero. How many league titles did they win pre Ferguson? What a tube. They played for a point and got it.

I hate when players or managers moan about the tactics of the opposition. They are well within their rights to sit back if that’s what they want to do. It’s our job to try and break them down and we failed to do it.

Spot on, TBB. i don't like such comments one bit cos we all used to laugh t Jose whenever teams parked the bus against him despite him using the same tactic through out his career. Just stinks of sour grapes, IMO. We did not deserve to win cos we did not play well enuff to win. Accept it and move on.

Now on a separate not with Keane and Neville, this is what they are now reduced to as Utd fans, something Fergie would never have stooped to even when he was struggling. There's a reason they are where they are, where they have been since Fergie left and where they will continue to be.

I reckon VVD is well within his rights to comment on United's ambition in that game. It's a poor show when the self proclaimed biggest team in the country rock up at a ground with no other thought than to play a low block and try not to lose. Fair play to them, it worked, but any fan who Is happy with that needs to go and have a long hard look in the mirror.

On the Liverpool performance - think we need to give a couple of players a break. Diaz is just not doing it for me at the minute and Szobozlai now looks to be trying too hard. Gakpo on the Left Wing for a few games I reckon, put Gomez at RB and use TAA in midfield.

I think yesterday your players just thought they had to turn up- tbh I thought the same myself.

To say we only came for a draw and didn't try to win is disrespectful, I have seen better United sides come to Anfield and get battered. We had two huge chances we didn't take, I know you had plenty yourselves. But there is more than one way to skin a cat.

If we tried to go toe to toe and lost 5-0 he likely would be getting sacked, or at least more calls for him to be.

Anyway, shocking game but good luck moving forward.

We’ll be up there i said 3rd at the start of the season and i’ll stick with that we’re not on the same level as Arsenal and City yet and we need to spend big to get to that level it’s the only way. A top DM a forward who can score goals and a Matip replacement and we’ll do well in all comps.

Caolan_2, I don't believe that first part for one second. We were well up for the game and there was NO sign of complacency, IMO. We just didn't play well enuff in the final third to get the result.

As for your performance, let's go back to recent history. Since Jose got the job till now when have Utd ever come to Anfield and play open football? That would be ONCE and who did that? That would be Erik Seven Hag who believed in his own hype and found out. The fact remains that normally since Jose (or even LVG before him), you pipe up at Anfield and park the bus waiting for a smash and grab and majority of the time, you still lose.

Now don't you ever think that cos I disgaree with VVD saying what he said, automatically means he was wrong or lying. Sorry, that's not a thing. VVD called a spade a spade and your club is in a shambles and this draw does not change that. Stop drinking the Koolaid your disingenuous pundits are serving you. Most of what I was going to say has been covered tbh.

I thought we were really poor yesterday and we seemed to be trying too hard. The last 3rd of the pitch we made so many poor decisions (most of which were taking pot shots) without using the overlapping run to cross when the chance was there.

I think you have to give credit to United for frustrating us and making us try and break them down. We didn't do it and tbh, despite what vvd says. We didn't deserve the win because we didn't score!

Just hope we can improve for the next couple of games. If we play like that against Arsenal we'll get a hiding!

Hopefully, the crowd will be more up for it too!

I'll be honest lads, let's face it - we were pure rubbish, could hardly string a pass together and so many players just looked off the ball.

Honestly, probably the worst we have played this season and they couldn't lay a hand on us - we played that unbelievably poorly and still kept a clean sheet.

Whilst I'm annoyed at the result - and lads there will be weeks when we just play poorly, it happens - from a selfish point of view, it's heartening to hear the Utd fans. They all talk about an improvement seen, how they played with real desire and fight - hell I even logged onto the Utd chat to read this - you just know the next things will be 'in ETH we trust' and 'trust the process' - not sure what match they watched lol with desire or fight but hey.

However bad we were though, they couldn't touch us - they are in a truly awful state at the minute and it will only get worse - got to love that lol lads.

As for us, look the mantra was always to pick up points even when you are playing poorly - we did that, we've won a few games this season when we were bad too - that is the sign of a good side lads, even Fergie used to say that is the sign of a title winning side - will we win the title? Who knows, but we are in for a shout and so many pundits wrote us off yesterday after a draw? What happens next week when we beat Arsenal?

I wouldn’t say that they came for the draw, but they certainly set up not too lose, they were set up to nick the odd chance and hopefully score 1 of them. Mourinho away from tactics I’d call it.

We were dreadful, the crowd was awful, it was like a home match against a relegation battler. United, regardless of where they are at, is huge and we seemed to have an arrogance that we would batter them from the get go.

The fact that Trent had to whip up the crowd you could tell there was nothing from them to feed off. The crowd/ atmosphere needs to improve otherwise people will start not fearing coming away to Anfield. The crowd make such a huge difference. The Barcelona results of the world don’t happen without Anfield at full tilt.

God you lads don't get on well at times.

Anfield away is our hardest game of the season, always is. No matter what the standards of the Liverpool team. So of course we would sit in, Fergie did it several times. 08 and 07 really stand out.

But ensuring that you are solid defensively is not saying we haven't come here to win. The tactics were to stop you scoring, and nick a goal to you know win the football match.

Oli, I am very familiar with Uniteds problems mate and in no way have I suggested once that we are a top team or that its a phenomenal result or anything. I have engaged with a lot of people on this site before, and usually get on just fine with them. Your own comments do reek of arrogance, as after all it was not that long ago that Liverpool were in the pits either. I am sure you remember it well. You seem greatly upset that you didn't beat what was a very poor United side, but don't take it to heart.
