Klopp hinting that we’re done for transfers again this window. Seems to have called out the owners a little bit aswell saying he sometimes wishes he could “take more risks” in the transfer market. In other words there are midfielders out there, we just haven’t got the money to buy them.

@drogie why is it ridiculous? He clearly said the other day he wanted a midfielder and now he’s saying there’s no money and he wishes he could spend more. I can remember before the season started and Klopp was asked if there would be anymore incomings and he said no unless somebody leaves or injuries. So he is not really contradicting himself he is just reacting to what is happening after the Utd game we was getting down to are bare bones now Matip is back Jones Thiago is very close ahead of schedule Jota is also nearing return. And as Klopp said all the time we would only sign somebody if it’s right long term and maybe after all the injuries and how packed this season is they are just looking more now than they was but the club don’t want to pay the silly prices that are go on at the minute.

I seem to be in another position here. I don't see a problem with someone changing their mind. What's the big deal. I run a business, you try and make the best decisions that you can with the information you have. We do reasonably well but occasionally, with hindsight, you realise that you could have done things differently and if possible, you make amends. It happens.

Klopp in no way needs protecting or defending he is one of the nicest guys in football please stop trying to assault his character Ed02 it is getting tiresome. He has done nothing wrong and you are trying to make out as if he has. Tell me one manager that has never contradicted themselves. Ed002 I can’t see how that is Embarrassing that’s just what he has said. I think most on here just seems to react to what is said by Klopp a bit silly at time. He is put on the spot in press conferences and just like everybody sometimes his views will change. None of us no what is going on behind closed doors with what money is available so maybe there is frustration at time.
But I don’t know am just guessing rather than moaning because we have not signed 10 new players every window.

The whole midfielder debate is a mess. Klopp has virtually admitted we wanted touchami but he chose madrid. meaning therefore we did want a midfield or just him and Bellingham. Then says we don't need a midfielder to then say after 3 shocking games that we do need a midfielder. That is a contradiction of the highest level.
The biggest worry is. the whole lot of other midfielders across europe must be second rate.
Then to let the transfer window go to last day and still nothing.
Owners obviously said work with what you've got. Not enough backing at this club and sometime or later were going to go backwards.
