With Tchouameni and Bellingham off the menu I was hoping for Bissouma as 3rd choice but do his legal problems and his desire to go to Arsenal also hinder the chances of this? It is also worrying that he wants to got to Arsenal does this show a lack of hunger to challenge for the top honours? Are there’s any more out there we are looking at for cm/ dm? And with Nunez priced out and Raphina wanting Barcelona I am slightly worried are there any suitable players available for what we need? Sorry so many questions.

ScouseNouse

{Ed002's Note - Another club will push for Bissouma.}

1.) 07 Jun 2022 23:22:54
I think Villa are going for him, shame really as bar his alleged legal issues, he’d be perfect.

2.) 08 Jun 2022 00:34:17
Slightly worried on June 7th? It’s going to be a long summer.

3.) 08 Jun 2022 00:56:47
Technically it’ll be a short summer as the season begins on 6th August, Thunderbird. Thanks to those entirely incorruptible people at FIFA and Qatar.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 03:32:41
Are people under the impression that for each transfer window there is only 1 player per position that is available/ suitable for us and if they don't arrive the season is already in chaos? Haven't we had amazing success with 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice players that currently fill our squad? I think the recruiting dept have earned some faith from us recently to give them time to get it right.

5.) 08 Jun 2022 06:04:56
Bissouma falls into the Jonny Depp category then. Guilty until proven innocent.

6.) 08 Jun 2022 07:41:28
I don’t think Depp is a good example there mate.

7.) 08 Jun 2022 07:44:43
It would be an Everton thing to do to sign a player for £50 - £60 million only to lose him as he gets a stripey suntan for sexual demeanours or whatever else. Then have to splash millions out on another replacement.
Nobody's found him guilty of anything, but there's common sense.

8.) 08 Jun 2022 08:40:34
Steer clear. Ed002 already mentioned baggage with him before the latest incident.

Talent is not enough. We need the right characters. When I see the Liverpool dressing room, I see a close knit respectful bunch of lads. At least from the outside. No player is worth putting that at jepordy.

9.) 08 Jun 2022 08:58:59
Baggage and antics all over the place😆.

10.) 08 Jun 2022 10:26:45
Firmane to be honest mate I didn’t even follow that case but heard he won it so that’s why I gave an example of it. If I’m wrong then I hold my hands up.

But my point sticks. Bissouma is innocent until proven guilty and it’s been close to 12 months with no charges being made yet.

When Bobby was charged with drink driving we didn’t really say anything but I suppose it all depends on our own individual moral compasses.

A team full of Mr Beans. A bunch of half arsed over paid bozos swaning about doing naff all. We had better look forward to Thursday nights next year oh and no one of any merit will join us then. This is the season that we fall away and it is going to be a long time before we rise again. I suppose we all got a bit too used to being a good team again. We are back to the old mediocre Liverpool again that’s fine just very upsetting how far we have fallen.

ScouseNouse

1.) 24 Oct 2022 10:04:24
WOW! Simply wow.

2.) 24 Oct 2022 10:05:55
That’s your opinion but we have seen before that they will fight to the end. We should still be able to finish above Man U or Spurs to get top 4. Chelsea are not very good either.

3.) 24 Oct 2022 10:17:00
We should. But on current form we won't.

4.) 24 Oct 2022 10:28:10
Are you saying our squad is worse than Man U’s or Spurs? We will make top 4, we have to.

5.) 24 Oct 2022 11:15:54
OP, we get it. You just won the "Who can call the team the most obnoxious of things" contest. I would ask you to provide actual solutions to what we can do to make things better BUT clearly, that's not what you're here for. Bravo, sir!

6.) 24 Oct 2022 13:20:35
Is it fine or very upsetting, Nousey? You seem confused, mate ?.
It's October and we've a world class manager and some very good players.
Hang in there, Nousey, they might surprise you.

7.) 24 Oct 2022 14:18:20
Can't make up his mind apparently, Rigsby. Too much bile, unfortunately.

23 Oct 2022 14:31:37
Allison is the only player I wouldn’t want to lose from this team any of the others are more than welcome to find other clubs.

ScouseNouse

1.) 23 Oct 2022 15:43:15
He's also the only one who'd command a decent fee when he wants to leave.

2.) 23 Oct 2022 16:31:53
Might aswell sell him aswell lads, TOTALLY start from scratch! it'll be the craic, how hard can it be to find better players than Robbo, Virg, Thiago, Diaz or Salah? two a penny players.

3.) 23 Oct 2022 18:12:39
It's nice that you've given them your blessing to leave, Nousey.
I think you're stuck with a lot of them for a while yet though.

21 Oct 2022 11:06:07
I have to add that Salah cannot hold a torch to Stevie as much as I love him. Stevie never performed as bad as Mo has the past year got to be said. Salah has done wonderfully well for Liverpool but is no Steven Gerrard.

ScouseNouse

1.) 21 Oct 2022 11:33:57
Some rose tinted glasses there you've got.

2.) 21 Oct 2022 11:51:50
Speak for yourself. Salah has years left in the tank and has already eclipsed Gerrard for me.

3.) 21 Oct 2022 11:54:21
Salah has been consistent bar a 6 month period Gerrard had his off times as well all players do.

Two great players playing two different positions why compare?

One things for sure though, Gerrard is a terrible manager.

4.) 21 Oct 2022 12:08:08
He's being sarcastic i think.

5.) 21 Oct 2022 13:01:38
For a good 10 years LFC was known as Steven Gerrard FC. When Gerrard did play with actual footballers (Alonso, Torres, Mascherano) He was simply unstoppable. The best midfielder in Europe by a country mile.
There would be many Salah’s along the way. But only one Steven Gerrard.

6.) 21 Oct 2022 13:31:45
Yes but we have transitioned from a one man team innStevie’s day to one of the best club sides in the world.

Not going to get into personality issues but under Klopp and his coaches we have a much better foundation than most clubs.

It would be a terrible mistake to have Stevie back at LFC in any capacity other than as a club ambassador for hospitality on match days.

7.) 21 Oct 2022 13:50:56
Stevie played with inferior players for most of his career. Only till alonso and Torres came along did we see how good he was.

8.) 21 Oct 2022 15:33:00
So he was happy being a big fish in a small pond? Lacked ambition? For me, and as much as it would've hurt, he should have went to Chelsea in 05 and won the lot. It was quite clear back then that we weren't anywhere near going to win a title ever. Fluke a cup here or there but never good enough to sustain a 38 game challenge. In my opinion he lacked ambition by not moving on. I wonder does he secretly, somewhere deep inside himself, regret it?

9.) 21 Oct 2022 16:03:10
How do you fluke a cup?
People who criticize Gerrard for staying at his home town club his whole career, or who criticize Shearer for picking Newcastle over Manchester United don't really get what it means to support a football club and how much more it would mean to win one major trophy with that club than multiple trophies somewhere else.
If I was lucky enough to be a professional footballer and lucky enough to play for Liverpool I would never want to leave no matter how bad the team was and no real Liverpool supporter would disagree.

10.) 21 Oct 2022 16:25:38
Jfc, Mane what did you want from the bloke? Whined about him leaving in another thread and now you're having a dig cos he didn't leave 10 years earlier when he was at his peak.

11.) 21 Oct 2022 16:36:13
Never "whined" about him leaving. I said he left the club twice which is fact. Maybe Frank wants to get the "golden generation" back together at Goodison? Already has Cole there.

12.) 21 Oct 2022 17:07:58
I think we would have been more successful under the Rafa years if Gerrard had been more of a team player and not such a spoilt brat. There is a reason he is called Stevie Me by some. I always preferred Alonso as a player. Mind you Lucas is my favourite player so what do I know.

13.) 21 Oct 2022 17:31:56
Mane are you even a scouser lad? Or a fan? Lacked ambition my arse. As thunderbird said why would you want to leave your boyhood club? Besides the pressure he was under in his own city he still stayed. I hope klopp brings him back to the club takes him under his wing. Give you something to cry about .

14.) 21 Oct 2022 17:34:37
Not difficult to differentiate btw a troll and a proper supporter ???.

15.) 21 Oct 2022 18:23:55
Players are having so much say in there clubs that they can now down tools and get the manager the sack which looks to me that is what has happened at villa. Also you need the right team behind you and not friends you need people to tell you what you may not want to hear .
Have diffrent ideas in
coaching styles Stevie G did not have that when Mick Beal left villa he did not replace him but went for ex lfc connection .
Stevie needs to cut the cord with LFC and find his own way.

16.) 21 Oct 2022 22:11:21
Different players in different positions in different eras and differing types of teams. Incomparable, what I will say is that I don’t think Salah can play the wing anymore, needs to be up top which is why I think he has been better these last few weeks. I’m not convinced 442 is the formation for us long term with the players we have available, but so long as it’s getting results fairs do’s.

21 Oct 2022 10:44:36
I would happily let Stevie G spend the night with my wife no problem at all. A living legend and a typical scouser with a never say die attitude. Any hate he gets is from low life talentless people, and rolls off his back like water off a duck. He will be back and better than ever. I know of no manager that could get the likes of Mings, Konsa, Bailey, Coutinho, Luiz or even Watkins to ever be any good at football. He did not sink Villa the embarrassing performances of these players is what has done it.

ScouseNouse

1.) 21 Oct 2022 11:07:10
But isn't it up to the manager to get the best out of those players? I'm not saying that he had a lot to work with, but their team had no identity. I had no idea what they were trying to do week in and week out. Now, the real question, would you have your wife shower after Stevie had his time with her before you slept with her again?

2.) 21 Oct 2022 11:24:21
Losing Beale from his coaching staff probably didn't help.

Also, I guess his close relationship with Purslow probably gave him too much say in the transfer market, which is never great for a young manager.

Lastly, he was unlucky with Diego Carlos' injury. Mings is like Dejan Lovren on speed.

3.) 21 Oct 2022 11:55:09
Stevie G is not a good manager, never was never will be and hopefully never takes over at LFC.

4.) 21 Oct 2022 13:14:06
Well said Andy. Tok many on here living in the past. Good players don't automatically mean Good managers. No better than Gary Neville in the dug out.

5.) 21 Oct 2022 13:20:42
Spot on Andy. Gerrard should never get anywhere near the job. If it wasn’t for his Liverpool connections, he wouldn’t be in the top 25 interviewed.

6.) 21 Oct 2022 15:37:45
Lot of people confusing separating Gerrard the player from Gerrard the manager as hate on here. Its not. Its taking off the red tinted glasses and looking at what he's done in the job. Most damning thing is apart from Bednarak (who was hooked at halftime last night) the other 10 were Dean Smith signings.

7.) 21 Oct 2022 15:55:26
Loved stevie as a player, but we have had our olè moment, when we had souness replace the king as manager. Great players but set back the success of the club on the field.

8.) 21 Oct 2022 16:00:32
Im not confused, wonder though will Xabi get the stevie me-esque posts from people who seem delighted he was sacked if he suffers another few big defeats with Leverkusen and gets the boot. it'll be all "keep the chin up Xabi lad".

9.) 21 Oct 2022 16:38:06
Why do you think people supposedly like Xabi better than Stevie then Jude?

10.) 21 Oct 2022 17:11:21
If that kind of thing is your bag scouse, it’s your bag. Doesn’t necessarily make you a bad person.

{Ed014's Note - just extremely generous I’d say!

11.) 21 Oct 2022 16:55:35
Nobody is confusing anything regarding Steven Gerrard. What is confusing is your apparent glee that he failed at Aston Villa, it is bizarre.

12.) 21 Oct 2022 17:20:56
More importantly Scouse mate is would your wife be agreeable to Stevie hopping into the scratcher beside her?

13.) 21 Oct 2022 23:04:08
Why is it bizarre Thunderbird? I want every manager of every other club that compete with Liverpool to fail. Are you even a "real" fan if you don't?

14.) 22 Oct 2022 07:55:06
I'd let Gerrard spend the night with my Missus, too, but he's having a bad enough time as it is.

11 Oct 2022 15:46:10
Klopp deserves to be sacked for absolutely ruining a good football team. Would be happy to see him leave also think he is going senile how else can you describe his performance recently he has surely been on milk of the poppy. The drivel that comes out his mouth and his actions are that of a mad man. Klopp out!

ScouseNouse

1.) 11 Oct 2022 16:28:06
And replace him with whom? There’s literally no one out there worth having.

Klopp has won the lot whilst he’s been here and has more than earned the right to turn things around.

2.) 11 Oct 2022 16:53:33
I’d suggest changing your name. After those comments, Nouse is something you are clearly lacking.

3.) 11 Oct 2022 16:57:05
Presumably a troll.

Klopp has earned the time and patience to turn this around.

4.) 11 Oct 2022 17:00:30
I would sooner sack and replace his no 2 Mr. Pep Lijnders than sack Klopp. Firstly, for his increased influence on tactics/ formation, which funny enough has coincided with our dramatic fall from grace. Secondly, as others have pointed out. Changing your assistant in a similar manner to which Alex Ferguson did prevents things becoming stale, brings in new ideas, keeps everyone on their toes and starves off familiarity. Lastly, for the nerve to bring out a book and two days before our opening league fixture to boot! ?‍♂️.

5.) 11 Oct 2022 18:10:21
Clearly neither nouse or scouse
Up the pool.

6.) 11 Oct 2022 18:16:40
So he ruined the team that he built?
And it's ruined after eight league games?
More emotional nonsense.

7.) 11 Oct 2022 18:30:04
Scouse Nouse = Troll. to be ignored I would say.

8.) 11 Oct 2022 19:06:45
Talk about drivel!

9.) 11 Oct 2022 23:12:29
Hello Alonso1786, You could have the poster name for a future LFC manager hopefully? (i don't mean 1786!)

10.) 12 Oct 2022 10:42:45
Looks like someone is having a bit of a giggle.
He's got a few biters taking the bait too!

11.) 12 Oct 2022 10:54:28
Troll alert.

If he wants to test himself in a proper league oh wait the prem is a one team league now also so can’t say that any more? Still though Ed do you ever think any footballers with any talent will be joining Liverpool or are we likely to be doomed to battle for scraps and players nobody wants for eternity? It is quite sad that England’s greatest ever club can’t challenge for the worlds top players why do you think this is? I know Man City offer hookers prostitutes and young women to players that’s move to them. And Chelsea offer lots of money for mostly sitting on benches. Are Klopps wet Willy’s not appealing enough do ya think?

Luiz is fine for the early rounds of league and fa cup and will warm the bench at all other occasions unless Fab out. His girlfriend is a very good footballer for Villa women and she is smokin. Not a transfer I would approve of but if cheap and low wages considering fair enough. Anything over 20 million is too much.

Klopp in no way needs protecting or defending he is one of the nicest guys in football please stop trying to assault his character Ed02 it is getting tiresome. He has done nothing wrong and you are trying to make out as if he has. Tell me one manager that has never contradicted themselves. I give respect where respect is due and he deserves buckets full of the stuff. Unlike someone I could mention.

His limited game time is due to persistent injury and abject performances. How does he ever expect to be anymore than a back up player to the back up players. Sorry I like Ox but has wasted his career maybe through no fault of his own but still if I was the manager of another team he would be nowhere near my thinking, to spend money on a crock is madness I thought this when Klopp signed him and nothing changed. Nice chap for sure.

Exactly he has his heart set on Barcelona so is totally out of the question he obviously does not want to push himself to achieve all that he can. He has the ability but seems to want the easy life which has surprised me I thought he had some grit and ambition in him. Oh well we use Salah for his last year and maybe try and give Gordon league cup games FA cup matches to get some game time. If he isn’t going to make the grade we look next summer no problem. I worry will Salah play as poorly as last season or will a rest do him good and he gets the golden boot? I think it’s time for the club to try and raise some money now through sales. So big season for youth with Ramsey Gordon Morton Elliot Jones Carvalho all giving us hope for the future I hope they can avoid injury and contribute to another great season.

I think we just now need to realise our time has been and gone it has been fantastic these last 5 years, thrilling in fact. We played exciting football and won major trophies. We have seen players go from being half decent footballers to world beaters. It is just a shame we couldn’t build on the success and keep pushing forward. In fact the frustration I and many of us feel is due to the fact we have not managed to do this while in a perfect position to do so. Instead somehow between Klopp and the owners it seems they intended to take a step back and take their foot of the gas. It is a crying shame they have let this happen but I think we now need to realise our place again and get behind the lads and be happy with a win here and there. We got too used to winning it seems we now can’t handle a few losses. I have over reacted in many posts because of my disappointment in how far we have fallen but I am now over it. I happily supported us perfectly well through all those years of Man Utd domination and never reacted to losing a game the way I have lately. I need to remember win or lose Liverpool football club will always be my first love and nothing will change that. The joy this club has brought me in my 35 years is priceless and I am sure there are going to be many more amazing Anfield nights and memories. Come on you red men!

Any team with Tyrone Mings and Konsa in defence is going to struggle in fact they have a lot of terrible players at Villa so not too surprising they are struggling. Not disagreeing he has zero tactical sense and I don’t think he has any preferred way of playing. But it is definitely the players who are letting him down a championship level side.

Every Player except Nunez and Dias were and have been terrible Klopps subs where baffling also Harvey Elliot is a mid table team player and is not good enough for Liverpool. I can never in my life remember a team turn as bad as we are so quickly, maybe Leeds under O Leary.

I would happily lose Henderson Van Dijk Fabinho Trent Harvey Thiago Salah they would not be missed in the slightest. Playing like 50 year old men and how weak they are also a 13 year old would win an arm wrestle with all of the above. I do fear for Klopps job he is another I would not mind losing at the minute how he kept Jota on the pitch so long is beyond ridiculous the guy was dog shat all game. A sorry state of affairs we will never return to the top of this league at least for 10 years or so now. I don’t see us making champions league for at least 3-4 seasons. Appalling all round.

Liverpool are able to negotiate with clubs out of the transfer window this is not breaking any rules. Just like Chelsea with Nkunku. Although Klopp might have sent out a few hampers? Darwin must start on Sunday he needs a run of games although so far this season Klopp has got the starting 11 wrong multiple times and his substitutions have been horrible. I do feel he has been the worst performer for us so far this season poor team selections poor subs and failure to secure a good midfielder are the root of our problems at the moment.

Klopps substitutions at 3-2 cost us the game Milner was once again absolutely shocking. They stopped playing to hold on to the result and it didn’t work. I do understand why people are upset at the minute though as we seem to be throwing most games away by conceding early. Then we spend the rest of the game battling to come from behind. Our defence is very frail at the minute and my Nan could score against us. What where Milner and Dias doing at the back post for trossards 3rd goal quite unbelievable. Just hope City give out a mauling today to improve my mood.
