With Tchouameni and Bellingham off the menu I was hoping for Bissouma as 3rd choice but do his legal problems and his desire to go to Arsenal also hinder the chances of this? It is also worrying that he wants to got to Arsenal does this show a lack of hunger to challenge for the top honours? Are there’s any more out there we are looking at for cm/ dm? And with Nunez priced out and Raphina wanting Barcelona I am slightly worried are there any suitable players available for what we need? Sorry so many questions.

ScouseNouse

{Ed002's Note - Another club will push for Bissouma.}

1.) 07 Jun 2022 23:22:54
I think Villa are going for him, shame really as bar his alleged legal issues, he’d be perfect.

2.) 08 Jun 2022 00:34:17
Slightly worried on June 7th? It’s going to be a long summer.

3.) 08 Jun 2022 00:56:47
Technically it’ll be a short summer as the season begins on 6th August, Thunderbird. Thanks to those entirely incorruptible people at FIFA and Qatar.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 03:32:41
Are people under the impression that for each transfer window there is only 1 player per position that is available/ suitable for us and if they don't arrive the season is already in chaos? Haven't we had amazing success with 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice players that currently fill our squad? I think the recruiting dept have earned some faith from us recently to give them time to get it right.

5.) 08 Jun 2022 06:04:56
Bissouma falls into the Jonny Depp category then. Guilty until proven innocent.

6.) 08 Jun 2022 07:41:28
I don’t think Depp is a good example there mate.

7.) 08 Jun 2022 07:44:43
It would be an Everton thing to do to sign a player for £50 - £60 million only to lose him as he gets a stripey suntan for sexual demeanours or whatever else. Then have to splash millions out on another replacement.
Nobody's found him guilty of anything, but there's common sense.

8.) 08 Jun 2022 08:40:34
Steer clear. Ed002 already mentioned baggage with him before the latest incident.

Talent is not enough. We need the right characters. When I see the Liverpool dressing room, I see a close knit respectful bunch of lads. At least from the outside. No player is worth putting that at jepordy.

9.) 08 Jun 2022 08:58:59
Baggage and antics all over the place😆.

10.) 08 Jun 2022 10:26:45
Firmane to be honest mate I didn’t even follow that case but heard he won it so that’s why I gave an example of it. If I’m wrong then I hold my hands up.

But my point sticks. Bissouma is innocent until proven guilty and it’s been close to 12 months with no charges being made yet.

When Bobby was charged with drink driving we didn’t really say anything but I suppose it all depends on our own individual moral compasses.

Just a thought with Trent being the best right back in the world and possibly going on to be the best ever! Would he in a couple of years be demanding the same wage as Mane and Salah have? I think there would be uproar if he did and was not offered the salary he wanted and was allowed to leave in similar way to the two I mentioned. I doubt he would be as ignorant and arrogant as those two but I would hope he would be offered whatever he would like being one of us and all. He after Hendo no doubt be captain of course. Hope to see him getting a shot off a bit more this season also think he can score 10+ a season along with 20+ assists. May he never leave us!

ScouseNouse

{Ed0666's Note - I think Javier Zanetti was/is the best ever if Trent reaches that grade I’d be delirious. How are Salah & Mane arrogant??? Or have I misread your post?

1.) 26 Jun 2022 15:38:41
Salah and Mane are arrogant for asking for the going rate in world football for their talent but if Trent asked for it we should give it to him because he’s one of us?

Makes sense.

2.) 26 Jun 2022 15:43:54
Mane and Salah arrogant?
Eh?

3.) 26 Jun 2022 15:46:52
What a player Zanetti was. If trent switches on more at the back he's on his way imo of becoming possibly the greatest right back.

{Ed0666's Note - No doubt. If he becomes a zanetti type defender he’ll be the GOAT. I truly believe we are witnessing history before our very eyes. What do you think his value is in todays market? £120 million easily and I’m not even saying that for dramatic effect.

4.) 26 Jun 2022 16:01:04
It’s just my opinion that Mane has left because we did not agree to his demands and ditched the club obviously I know nothing of the details that is. Salah has been flirting with other clubs since the day he joined and on the pitch is as selfish as they come but this may not translate of the pitch and may have helped him on it at times. I am just sad the days are gone when players would love a club for what they have done for them and vise versa. Obviously I appreciate what both have done for us I really do I am just sad they will both leave due to money. And Yes Zanneti was pure class I definitely feel Trent will get to that level. Maybe I used the wrong words against two of or greatest players but what is 50k-100k to these guys a drop in the ocean even though they give heaps of it to fantastic charitable causes. Didn’t want to kick up a stink!

5.) 26 Jun 2022 17:06:22
As long as we are competing trent doesn't leave imo. If we put him in a situation like Gerrard, where we were after top four at best and maybe a cup run, then I think he would consider.

he's a local boy, getting paid handsomely and hopefully winning trophies. Fingers crossed that's enough.

As for Mane and Salah, they have every right to ask for more money, we would all do it.

6.) 26 Jun 2022 16:08:02
Ed0666 I think it all depends on which team would be in for him and how they play. Our system and style is set up perfectly for Trent which makes him world class.

When he plays for England who aren’t set up to utilise him against opposition (including part timers) he looks a different player. In the right team he’s worth a lot of money but in teams who cannot play to or utilise his strengths then he might not be as appealing.

But this could be said about lots of players I suppose.

{Ed0666's Note - haven’t you just wasted 10 minutes of your life stating the obvious mate?

7.) 26 Jun 2022 16:26:21
Zanetti was great I admit but to discount Cafu can't be easy. Pity Zanetti spent so many years in average Inter sides. At least he managed to bump up his trophy collection towards the end tho.

{Ed0666's Note - made his greatness even better in my eyes playing in mediocre teams

8.) 26 Jun 2022 17:37:08
Ignorant? Wind your neck in.

9.) 26 Jun 2022 17:42:20
Ed066 it only took me 9 minutes mate. Who’s laughing now ?.

{Ed0666's Note - you are mate ?

10.) 26 Jun 2022 18:11:12
The highest number of assists in the team for the year and "he's as selfish as they come"? You say you don't want to kick up a stink, but you keep doing it.

Let me ease some of your pain over the money part of it. Instead of just focusing on their leaving for money, give a moment's thought as to how they came to us in the first place. For money. Their previous clubs made a profit and both players got a raise on their wages. So if they leave for money, it's a continuation of the process of professional football. Forget about playing for the colors and the badge. That is now history and part of old folklore. Colors and badge do not pay for the multiple homes, the supercars and the bling bling lifestyle.

11.) 26 Jun 2022 18:12:15
Ed0666 Trent has the potential to be the GOAT he keeps developing under klopp the sky is the ceiling for him. I always wet myself watching some of the balls he can place. Amazing player and will be in lfcs greatest team ever the way he’s playing.

{Ed0666's Note - I honestly think in 3-4 seasons if he keeps producing he will be the GOAT in his position years before he’s retired. How many times will you here that in your life?

12.) 26 Jun 2022 18:24:45
Ed0666 I can't see trent ever leaving. Good head on his shoulders, scouser, loves the club, in the right set up for his talent and will hit his prime whilst klopp is still at the club. We are lucky. I wouldn't put a price because I just see our future captain being with us for a long time.

{Ed0666's Note - If I was him I’d wanna leave at some point for another life experience, challenge himself, sample another culture, language etc. change is good sometimes.

13.) 26 Jun 2022 20:37:33
If Trent does every leave, hopefully it is in the twilight of his career to the MLS. I know I'm being selfish but id be gutted if we lost him at like 27-28. Imagine the sort of player he will be then!

14.) 26 Jun 2022 22:04:06
Ed0666 I see him leaving but when he's past his best like gerrard, lampard becks etc and heading to the US. I simply don't see him before 30 leaving that's what I meant. I can't see him in his twilight years leaving this club. No chance.

{Ed0666's Note - I hope he doesn’t buy some of me would love it if he did because I want him to showcase his mercurial talents abroad

15.) 26 Jun 2022 22:54:35
I really liked the Inter Milan team around 2010. Maicon, Chivu and Zanetti were all very good full backs. Throw in Lucio, Samuel, Cesar, Cambiasso, Stankovic, Pandev, Sneijder, Milito, Eto'o etc. What a team. One of the best to grace the game in my 18 years watching football.

16.) 27 Jun 2022 07:28:45
I always had a soft spot for Inter. Probably coz a lot of the time they where the nearly men. The season they nearly won the league with Brazilian Ronaldo leading the line they were brilliant. And robbed in what of the worst reffereing performances against Juventus I've èver seen. Not sure if Zanneti was playing for them but I wouldn't be surprised as he was there so long.

17.) 26 Jun 2022 20:19:00
Ed666, Zanetti is potentially the GOAT at RB but I will always put the legendary Marcos Evangelista de Maraes a. k. a Cafu ahead of him BUT not by much. Cafu esp in his pomp at Roma, would be worth a lot more than 120m, IMO.

As for Trent, he will get the wages his play and performances deserve based on what the club can offer. As for Salah and Mane being arrogant? I don’t know what them at means or is the OP suggesting both world class players and legends have no right to demand the wages that they think their play and stature in world football deserves? Maybe the OP can clarify.

{Ed0666's Note - I think the OP was having a bad day at the office. For me Zanetti trumps Cafu because he was one hell of a defender and bought a measure of calm and security on that side of the pitch which inspired his teammates.

23 Jun 2022 14:04:36
Whatever happened to the young Italian lad winger/ forward can’t remember his name? His dad was a footballer too? Was linked to us but very expensive at the time.

ScouseNouse

1.) 23 Jun 2022 14:35:55
Chiesa or Berardi? Both only viable if Salah leaves mate.

2.) 23 Jun 2022 14:49:38
I think the op is asking about Chiesa. Unfortunately he suffered an season ending acl injury with Juve. And if I'm not mistaken he signed for them after a successful loan spell.

3.) 23 Jun 2022 14:50:39
I think he's talking about Chiesa. Anyway, he's out with an ACL injury right now. One of the major reasons for Italy not qualifying for the WC, imo.

4.) 23 Jun 2022 14:55:10
Didn’t Chiesa have a big injury the start of last season.

5.) 23 Jun 2022 15:14:14
Was it not Sandro Tonali? Played for Brescia, went on loan to AC Milan, then signed for them? Plays in midfield.

6.) 23 Jun 2022 15:45:28
OP definitely meant Federico Chiesa, his dad Enrico was a pretty big name in Italian football in the 90s. But as to Federico, Juve had him on a loan with an obligation to buy if I remember correctly, and then he did his ACL and was out for the entire season.

7.) 23 Jun 2022 18:20:20
Are we still interested in Damstgard?

8.) 23 Jun 2022 20:42:31
That was it Chiesa thanks a lot lads! Argh so injury has taken him out for a while. Liked the look of him when playing for Italy. Bought his dad on CM back in the day as well, paired him with mpenza. Scouts will be busy looking for Salah replacement I am sure.

9.) 24 Jun 2022 11:04:01
If anyone watched Chiesa's dad (Enrico) play, you would know the guy was an absolute warrior on the pitch. Ran his socks off for 90 mins and never stopped and scored goals esp in clutch moments. He was a perfect foil for Hernan Crespo at Parma with whom he created one of the most devastating partnership's in Serie A and in Europe. If Enrico was still playing today in his prime, he would be a Klopp player, IMO. Federico is the very same player and I wish we could sign him.

21 Jun 2022 17:30:23
I have just read an article on Taki’s struggles on trying to break into the team and trying to stay motivated. I just hope he knows that we as fans know he has done a great job when called upon in cup games and we know he gave it all. Even accepting a loan to get some regular games. What he has contributed is appreciated and it is sad it didn’t work out. Wherever he ends up he will be a great signing a genuine guy and footballer.

ScouseNouse

1.) 21 Jun 2022 17:58:21
OP, Taki will leave this season and I thank him for never sulking under immense circumstances and always gave his all whenever called upon. As much as I want us to keep him, he should be let go to fulfill his potential elsewhere which is the least he deserves. All that loan stuff ain’t going to happen cos he wants out and his wish should be granted, IMO.

2.) 21 Jun 2022 20:07:37
Yup, happy to have taki be a part of the club for the last couple of years, appreciate all his contributions and his attitude, and he deserves the chance to shine elsewhere. Perfect squad player purchase, contributed with limited opportunities and we make a small profit on him.

3.) 21 Jun 2022 21:26:31
He’s off to Monaco by all accounts.

4.) 21 Jun 2022 22:22:06
If he'd been stronger or quicker or both, we might have seen more of him.

5.) 22 Jun 2022 01:22:15
I think when he said no one was interested that he was referring to the coaches.

6.) 22 Jun 2022 09:25:42
Rigsby, I don't believe any of that. Klopp said often that it was his (Klopp's) fault that Taki didn't play more. Taki should have played more than he did esp last season and Klopp didn't play him. I don't buy this whole schtick of him not being strong enuff or quick enuff. The guy is a very talented footballer and he performed well in the games he actually played in. Or are you saying the opponents in those games were not quick nor strong? Leave it, man.

14 Jun 2022 21:33:21
Great game on channel 4! And Kane’s dive was embarrassing 1 a game at least.

ScouseNouse

1.) 14 Jun 2022 23:54:37
Southgate just didn't put enough right backs on the field. He only used two. He needed at least four.

2.) 15 Jun 2022 00:02:54
South Americans get hammered for diving but don’t you dare say anything against Harry Kane! He’s just being clever when he does it.
At least Richarlison will fit right in if he joins Spurs.

3.) 15 Jun 2022 02:58:48
3 - 0 down with 5 minutes to go - send for Maguire. ????.

4.) 15 Jun 2022 11:32:28
It seems left back is the position that good players are rare such a great feeling knowing we have two classy performers in that position. Just glad internationals are done for a bit let the players rest and spend time with family for god sake. Does anyone know when pre season starts? can’t be too far away I expect.

18 May 2022 13:41:16
Did Curtis Jones get MOTM last night? because he should of an absolute performance wow this lad is as cool as a cucumber on the ball. He is going to be some player.

ScouseNouse

1.) 18 May 2022 13:50:24
I thought he played well enough, but still makes bad decisions, and holds for too long. Almost a bit grealish like (without being a d*ck) where it looks good, but not always useful.

2.) 18 May 2022 14:05:33
I thought Curtis like a few others grew into the game and had a really good 2nd half.

Bobby was the same. That 2nd half his feet were like glue.

3.) 18 May 2022 14:15:42
The lad has a lot to learn but he's at the best place, under klopp he's laughing. Trust klopp, keep putting the work in and your career is made.

4.) 18 May 2022 14:16:56
Jones as Firmane says holds onto the ball too long or takes the wrong choice most times however he is young and if he can learn to overcome those issues he could become a very good player but not at this present moment in time.

5.) 18 May 2022 14:18:49
Was superb lastnite.

6.) 18 May 2022 15:01:09
Too many low percentage shots looking for a wonder goal. When one goes in its glorious but more often than not it gives away possession and wastes a good attacking position.

7.) 18 May 2022 15:46:07
I am confident that when the time comes to replace Fabinho, if we do so effectively then our midfield for years to come will be sound with Jones and Elliot.

8.) 18 May 2022 16:11:47
Much like the Villa game, he started slowly and grew into the game. He certainly has more faith in him holding onto the ball that I do haha. He's got all of the tools. Would like to see him make more turnovers but otherwise it's really up to him from here.

9.) 18 May 2022 17:46:04
I think he tries too hard at times.
That's understandable and it's better than not trying hard enough.

10.) 18 May 2022 17:28:00
Has ability and potential but doesn't move the ball quick enough when a quick ball is needed. Last night he was running back toward our goal dribbling with an opponent nipping at his heels the whole way and all he had to do was pass back to the defender. There's a player in there but needs to get better at decision making.

11.) 18 May 2022 17:28:00

12.) 18 May 2022 18:48:06
Man of the match? No chance. he made far to many poor shots etc. He had some decent possession but I never feel super confident when he's in the midfield for some reason. I like the lad but jury is out for me.

13.) 18 May 2022 19:28:44
I like jones and thought he played well last nite, got better as game went on. I don't mind him holding onto ball in midfield if no ball forward on, I think he told to do this as gini wijnaldum before him done exact same. Where I see prob with jones is in final third when killer ball is on he slows it up too much and the momentum and chance lost. If he can sort that out and add few goals I think he will be super player for us.

14.) 18 May 2022 20:31:57
Jones was very good, IMO. He needs to work on his decision making and vision in the final third BUT he’s still learning so I’m good with that. It’s not easy holding your own in a world class team so I think he is doing fine under the circumstances.

15.) 19 May 2022 11:17:23
For me Jones has had plenty of opportunities to show what he can do and for me what he can't or doesn't do is more important. He can hold on to a ball but tends to hold on to it too long and often for no reason, he can shoot but not accurately often enough, he can dribble but no end result and he doesn't seem to see the player in a better position.
Shankly would eat him alive.

Exactly he has his heart set on Barcelona so is totally out of the question he obviously does not want to push himself to achieve all that he can. He has the ability but seems to want the easy life which has surprised me I thought he had some grit and ambition in him. Oh well we use Salah for his last year and maybe try and give Gordon league cup games FA cup matches to get some game time. If he isn’t going to make the grade we look next summer no problem. I worry will Salah play as poorly as last season or will a rest do him good and he gets the golden boot? I think it’s time for the club to try and raise some money now through sales. So big season for youth with Ramsey Gordon Morton Elliot Jones Carvalho all giving us hope for the future I hope they can avoid injury and contribute to another great season.

We are the shining light in a sea of fraudulent **** including Newcastle (Arab Blood Money) Man City ( Arab blood money FFP cheats) Chelsea (Russian blood money) Everton (Dodgy owner FFP cheats) and others. All just to trying and catch our coat tails without any morals. And they are still light years away from holding a candle to us. Hopefully we can continue to battle for the side of good and defeat the iluminati.

They are only 45 minute games with barely any intensity. International football is the scurge of the game and needs sorting out. Klopp moans about competitive matches being too close together for valid reasons. He has every right too when we play so many games in a season. UEFA and FIFA need to reduce international crap for the good of the game. And the FA could stop bowing to TV company’s for kick off times. Only saying!
