Just seen mourinhos post match comments last night, already making excuses for Sunday, reeling off the amount of players he has injured and how tired Matic is etc! I can see how the game will play out already, united with 10 men behind the ball, hoping to nick it with a goal.

They will win. It’s typical, everything to do with our season, unbeaten run, qualified for last 16, not lost at home in god knows how long, our form compared to theirs, player happiness compared to theirs. It’s got United 1 nil written all over it 😂

I hope not benny, don’t think I could handle mourinho’s smug face if that happened 😩 I just hope we’re patient in our play because we’re going to need it, they will sit back and soak up pressure all game and try and hit us on the counter. I think if we are patient and not try to force the play, we will break through and get the win!

Personally can’t say the same. We are roaring with confidence and overcame far better teams this season. Prediction 2-0 reds in the first half with a late united goal 70th minute, concluding 2-1.

Normally I’d agree with that Benny but we are a different animal this season.
In years gone by we’d have already lost to Chelsea, City and possibly even Burnley by now (not Everton though we never lose to them) .
Have faith mate, this team knows how to get the job done.

History tells us benny is right unfortunately. The only scenario in which he isn’t is if we take everything we’ve learned from playing defensive teams this season and apply it here. Solid defending, patience, passing the ball around, hopefully the goal will come. We’ve tried to press them and it never seems to work. let's see if we can get through the bus this year.

Against the United of last season I'd have agreed with Benny 100%. But this season, I just don't think they're good enough defensively to keep us out, and de Gea's not the same. Mourinho will try his hardest to spoil our play, but I'm not sure he has the tools to do it this time.

The key is for us not to over-commit in attack.

I can actually see it being frustratingly 0-0 until Klopp plays his subs. I can see him going for a workmanlike midfield of Milner, Hendo and Gini and have a lot of possession but creating very few chances. I think the introduction of Shaqiri and Keita will make the difference and we'll get a 1-0 or 2-0.

I'm expecting a difficult and frustrating game, with lots and lots of anti-football.

- Something Red -. Napoli didn't come and try to ruin the football match. They came to try to win it, which is why our midfield were able to contribute to the attack. Don't expect the same from Jose's United. I really think it's going to take a couple of moments of magic to create a really good quality chance. I hope I'm wrong and like many here, really cannot stand them, and even more so under the manager I've always disliked for all of his spells in English football. I just have a feeling that even though his squad is complete carp, he'll still find a way to make it difficult.

Benny has a point. If anyone can ruin our unbeaten season, it would be Mou. It's what he does. Remember 13/ 14 with BR in charge at Anfield vs Chelsea? The hope now is that Klopp is smarter now (which he is) and can get one over Mou finally.
