Robbo leaving at end of the season. What a true legend and another leader of men gone from a team that is turning into a bunch of underachieving fairies. John Gibbons was right in what he said about these new age young footballers being flash c###s and not caring or connecting to the fans, club and city, and now we will have another grounded senior player less to knock some sense into these overpaid underperforming wilting nancyboys. All we need now on top of that is for Slot to be kept on next season and for Edwards and Hughes to purchase more flakes to go into what is at the moment the softest team in the Premier League and Europe.
Grim dark days ahead my fellow reds if FSG allow this to materialise it will be back to the 90's/00's again. Please god someone will see sense and stop this contagious rot the is tearing the club apart from the top down and set it right. Rant over. Time to sleep.

That era of signings generally had great mentalities, regardless of which part of the world they were from. Robbo epitomised that even though he lived out in Cheshire, earned a huge salary, and didn't have any real connection with the city other than on a match day.
I don't know what's changed in our recruitment, but we need to flick that switch back and get more Robbo's, Hendo's and Fabinho's about the place.

Robertson to leave at end of season. What a buy he was.

You can add a new LB to the list. Robbo is leaving at the end of the season.

Kerkez is first choice, there's no reason Beck can't be back up.
09 Apr 2026 21:37:36
Or the Greek Scouser.
09 Apr 2026 21:52:34
Tsimikis isn't good enough. We need someone to put pressure on Kerkez. He won't. He'd be a weak cover. imo only.
09 Apr 2026 22:25:45
I think Tsimi may be a better option to Beck though, SG, he has plenty of EPL experience for a backup. We've got enough positions to worry about in the summer, imo. RB being a bigger challenge.

Agreed, Zed.

Slots embarrassing himself now, just go man, you've been paid handsomely for 2 seasons, stop waiting for the payoff, just go. Buffoon.

According to The Telegraph, our hierarchy wants Slot to stay into next season. So can any of our regular contributors, who are close to the action, confirm this? ?

Being reported that Andy Robertson is leaving at the end of the season.
Part of a special team, never gave up, would run run run for 90 mins game after game.
Good luck. Thanks for the wonderful memories.

I just can't understand how we would resign Konate.
Even when we were decent he's a liability, now even more so.
This season is rather depressing, glad I'm drinking wine in South Africa and have an excuse to not watch the last game!

250k for a year is £13m. That's cheaper than buying a first team CB.
{Ed001's Note - but we get lumbered with league 2 dumbass who is more interested in posing and clothing than he is in football. He needs to go. He should have been replaced last summer, when he had been the weakest link for a season.}
09 Apr 2026 20:21:36
I'm not saying I agree with the decision, it seems like a thing the club would do to save money.
09 Apr 2026 21:58:47
Konate is incredibly incompetent. Out that door as quickly as possible. VVD is doing a good impersonation over the last 2 months too. To have a young CB "learn" from Konate, there's only one way he'll end up. A worse duplicate.

I won’t lie
Slot has ruined my mood and my days and weeks. I don’t want to use my season ticket; it’s like I am watching a Man United soy destroy a team from within
I’m not comparing him to Klopp; I’m just saying he was more positive
Rio may have started and he would not be overwhelmed. Players would be smiling, happy, some energy, some fight
All the small things I believe a coach is responsible for
So I ask myself why is the club waiting? If Slot had every player he wanted out there I still think he would fail
And because of that I believe every single day Slot is there is a step closer to mass clear out by players who feel unhappy and that’s the dark cloud hanging over the club - no amount of new players will fix this only a manager.
