Hi eds,

I was going through some of the older posts and saw something about Bowen being the ideal replacement for Shaqiri. Has he ever been replaced? Is Bowen still seen as his potential replacement? What about young Kaide Gordon?

Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have used the likes of TM and DO when needing cover. They have also had youngsters coming through so it has not proven to be a problem.}

Bowen will make a very fine addition to our team, especially if any of Sadio or Salah should leave. I really like him!

Bowen had a fine game today. I’d be happy for the club to take a chance on him - unless he costs £100m of course!

I think Bowen will be to expensive and other cheaper options may be looked at. Praying Aston Villa snatch a draw.

yeah, he'd cost too much now.

I don’t think he’d cost £100m as he’s not been capped by England yet, that normally pushes the price up. But he’d certainly be in the £60-75m range, question is whether he can kick on and keep improving, and I think he can. He’s proved himself capable at every level he’s played at and I reckon Klopp could turn him into an absolute top class player.

A move is contingent on Bowen accepting he won't be a guaranteed starter. don't think fee and wages will be massive. Comes down to if the player really wants the move. Do think 1 of the front 3 will be leaving. Bowen is versatile enough to play in midfield and forward line.

one season wonder.

I rate Bowen highly. He'd be a star for us, bigger than what he's been at West Ham so far. Agree with VVVV that he and Klopp would be stellar together. Sign me up for 60M if we need a Salah replacement.

I've not seen much progress bowen, everyone seems to be raving about him though. We have a great forward line, where would he fit In? Is he better than any of Diaz, Mane or Salah?

Ed2.

A lot has been said about Jude Bellingham and his next destination for the 2023/ 2024 season. However, I have seen a few outlets reporting that we are interested in his younger brother Jobe Bellingham. Can you shed any light on whether this is true or which clubs are looking at him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - He is a 16 year old kiddie - I would need to ask around.}

No problem. Cheers Ed2.

Not wishing to be cynical but clever move by the club if looking ahead to tempting big brother Bellingham over next year.

like bowen but would only be an option if salah left.
liverpool have raided relegated teams before (robertson, wijnaldum, shaqiri) .
could raphinha be a target if leeds go down?

ED002

Hope you're well!

With Fabio Carvalho deal done, promising young player, Liverpool now needing RB cover for TAA seems like according to reports we have strong interest in Calvin Ramsay, good prospect coming out of Aberdeen. I'm optimistic this deal might get done.

Can you please provide player names that if we've recently had any interest with for positions mid/ forward.
As we expect Origi, Ox and perhaps Taki and Milner, even maybe Nabi to be moved on.
If you can please perhaps mention against the names possible or unlikely that the deal can get over the line that would be great.

Much appreciated
Tommy T.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure that Liverpool will look to adding any more first choice forwards unless there is a major departure. Otavio, Vitinha, Bissouma, Merino, Tchouameni, Wirst, Tielemans and Laimer have all been watched by the club.}

Milly is going nowhere.

Thanks Ed appreciate it.

What about Fabio Viera from Porto?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Fabio Vieira (AM) Porto want to keep the youngster and have no intention of selling. Previously Arsenal, Bournemouth and RBL have had approaches turned away. Has been watched by Spurs, Wolves and Liverpool.}

15 May 2022 11:57:06
Do you mean Florian Wirtz, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, but I think it very, very doubtful. Certainly not this summer.}

15 May 2022 14:51:46
Wirst also suffered a pretty bad ACL injury, so I can't see a club taking a chance on him in summer, he'll be out for a long time.

Ed I read a report in The Mirror that claimed we have a first-refusal agreement with Porto for Fabio Viera for €12m which was negotiated as part of the Luis Diaz deal. It seems rubbish to me, I'm guessing you will confirm that it is?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know how that would work as his contract will have needed to change. It then iopens up a potential breach of the rules with having third party influence.}

16 May 2022 11:26:11
Cheers Ed. It sounded like something unprecedented to me unless it was something similar to the option Chelsea had on Lazar Markovic at Benfica but I think they were involved with him when he was at Partizan Belgrade.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - it is nothing like that.}

Is there any news on us having a look at sinisterra? Couple of outlets recently bringing his name. Just wondered cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No. Liverpool do not need any more LW.}
