For all the talk of ("The Data TM") I'm starting to wonder if this approach is impacting performances. Perhaps I'm clutching at straws here but it feels like half the team care more about their pass completion stats than trying to score a goal. All season long I've noticed players having the chance to break forward and instead turning back on themselves and giving each other hospital balls in our own half instead of sending a 50/50 one upfield.

We inevitably end up giving the ball away anyway but it's like they don't really care as long as they're not the one to lose it. Love Szobo but he's one of the worst culprits, for all his ball striking ability he doesn't like a forward pass.

This is a new low this season. Slot has checked out, the players have checked out, the crowd have checked out. So what happens now? We can't possibly stick with this manager (who doesn't even want to stay). The players think, yea new manager we will all be up for it, show our skills n mindset n get back challenging. I for one think half these players are broken.

Isak can't stay fit, Wirtz looks a shadow of the player we all thought he'd be. The midfield is atrocious, only Slob can hold his head high. Who on earth though giving Gravenberch a new contract close to 300k a year needs sacking? VVD has been getting stick but he is still by a country mile our best defender. I don't envy the new manager sorting this shambles out

I think a lot of how unfit the players are and how rubbish they look is down to Slot and we won't know until he's gone and we get another manager in if this is actually true.
Players don't just become crap overnight, especially in these numbers!

He reckons a transfer window can fix it. 🤔

We had a transfer window in January and did naff all, still got no right-backs to this day.

Hardly Slot's fault.

Since when have performances, team selection, tactics and results been a manager's (head coach) remit.

JK23, Do you think that Slot behaves like he does because he isn't the manager? Perhaps he sees that, as the coach, he doesn't need to respect the fans or our culture because he just comes in to coach the players and do what he's told by his superiors.

Ngin.

Not claiming to ITK but my mate works at the local Land Rover dealer.

He said Edward and Hughes were in with a pile of data sheets. Apparently they were looking for a defender!

Iriola would be chosen imo to correct transfer mistakes and a sham of a squad.
Don't mind Iriola, think Alonso was more suited.
Iriola isn't transforming Mamdasvilli into a top goalkeeper. There's only soo much he can improve on, but we lack key quality in key positions.

16 May 2026 12:00:43
Correct transfer mistakes? How's he going to do that when he has no interest in transfers. If Iraola's brought in, the man responsible for the transfer mistakes, Edwards, will still be deciding on this summer's transfers, not Iraola.

I'm boycott buying any new kits and stopped following them on social media. Hit FSG in the metrics that seem to matter to them.

16 May 2026 11:53:01
Do FSG sell shirts? I'm not sure you will be sticking it to the man like you think you are.

FSG get the revenue from shirt sales - less shirt sales = less revenue.
Really not that hard.

Would have thought the revenue goes to the club, not to FSG?

This is my first ever post.
I have been a Liverpool supporter or fan whatever way you slice it for about 40 years. My first ever game was in the Kop when I was 8 years old and I fell in love from then on.
I have now fallen out of the love with this club. I will continue to ā€œsupportā€ but I have now clocked out of any interest, passion, or excitement untill Slot and his team are removed from our great club.

The same goes for the 2 other clowns above.
I’m so very very sad and emotional, LFC have been my life force for all them years but I now don’t care. It’s so sad. I have my family, my missus, my children and my health and that’s what I’m concentrating on now. I love this site though and will continue to look upon it for updates, reassurance or anything remotely good. Take care all. I know kist if not all feel the same.

16 May 2026 12:03:54
Did you fall out of love during any other period where we were s***?

It's a tough watch this season, no doubt, but I still have just as many emotions while watching us. It just tends to be less happy emotions this season!

Yes I've been through a lot of hard times, but no, I've not fallen "out of love" before. I've continued to be optimistic of a turn around, and through one way or another we did turn it around. This is a new low, and a terrible one too.

I've clocked out, it's that simple, my friend. I'm 50 years old and know my own emotions. I won't burn shirts, or go on a hate mission, but I've never felt so much hatred for a manager in my life (not the person I might add).

I will continue to watch us for as long as I'm physically able. Before anyone starts, I'm no so-called super fan. Liverpool, despite not coming from Merseyside, are the team I chose after watching the 1971 cup final.

Most people, who have an interest in football, pick a team. There are more people who follow football outside the PL than in it. I happen to have chosen a team who've given me more joys than any other set of supporters in the history of English football have experienced.

Life is too short to do things that you don't enjoy. I, no matter how crap we've been this season, still gain enough pleasure from watching us to continue.

I'm fairly confident we will become the best again, though I don't have a crystal ball to know when. The other supporters of the vast majority of teams in England don't have that confidence, and never will.

Xavi Alonso to be confirmed Chelsea manager in a few days.

16 May 2026 10:32:32
Can any of the Ed's confirm if John Henry & co will be at Anfield next week. I know they are normally at the end of season.

{Ed001's Note - not a clue sorry.}

16 May 2026 10:22:29
@Carra, Do you have any news to offer us all any hope? This is a terrible situation wev found our selves in! Surely we cannot go into next season with slot. It’s becoming very toxic! šŸ˜ž
