With Salah away for a few games who we thinking will replace him?

Feel Elliot will get the nod but would like to try Diaz there and have him play as an out and out winger.

Bobcat, he will be replaced "by commitee" IMO as in, everyone will have to chip in and step up like we did in the same situation when we had both Slah and Mane gone to the Afcon.

Also, pretty sure Klopp and the staff have somthing cooking cos you can't tell me they are just finding out that Salah would be going to AFCON last week. Just wait and see.

Easily replaceable. Top scorer and Top assist in the league. Just Chuck one of the fans on the right we won’t miss him.

There's options but I'd give Elliott first go. Think it's his best position in our setup and like to see him have a run there.

We will see whether Salah’s numbers are so high because he is Salah, or because of the system. It might be that whoever goes in there gets into goal scoring positions too. So I would say do not change the system to accommodate Salah’s absence. Keep as much the same as possible. So- left footed Elliot would be my pick.

I’d be surprised if it is Elliott myself. I think he might be required to put a shift in midfield. Not down to the bare bones in midfield but MacAllister, Jones, Grav and Harvey are going to get plenty of game time with Endo gone and Szobo injured. Unless I’m miss Someone ?.

Szoboszlai will take pens I'd imagine, Flash. Assuming his injury isn't serious, of course.

Jota's a good taker too. The couple he took in shootouts for us were emphatic enough, iirc.

Would love to see Nunez take over pens now and even when Salah is back to be honest, he can do with the confidence boost and Salah as good as he is isn’t the best peno taker in the world.
As to who replaces him for the next month?
I did have a mad thought the other day of changing to a 4-4-2 with trent on the right side of midfield, Diaz on the left of that midfield and Nunez up front with gakpo. I’ll probably have to just keep imagining that in my head though.

{Ed025's Note - Nunez taking the pens Mikey??, i wouldn,t put him in charge of making a jelly mate, hes a good strong frightening forward at times but lacks composure in front of goal, if i was sitting behind the goal i think i would take a crash helmet if he was taking the spot kicks.. :)

Personally I think that trent would be perfect for penalties and that gakpo should play on the right whilst Salah is away.

Nunez for pens, and whilst I would like to see some of our other forwards tried out on the right, with the amount of central midfielders we have at our disposal and Szlob having previously played their I think he'll get the nod.

Strangely, he seems more calmed and takes them better than Salah though I was expecting him I sky jt originally
On the reverse, Salah seems to tuck away chances in games and isn’t as convincing on the pens as his record shows.

{Ed025's Note - i have not seen him take a pen sg, when he gets near the goal im usually behind the couch or looking through my fingers mate.. :)

Trent grabbed the ball the other day so I think it's him on pens.

So many options thankfully. Szoboslai was a right winger last season so wouldn't be shocked to see him moved up. Rather we keep him where he is tho (assuming he's fit) and go w Gakpo and Diaz wide w Captain Chaos and Jota filling in where needed. Elliott is a good shout too but seems to be more effective as a sub than a starter.
