Not Liverpool related exactly but will give it a go.
Two weeks to this abomination of a WC - Anyone going or cares?
The lack of atmosphere and tv build up is deafening.

Don’t care, no interest in international footie. I’ve only watched England twice since that woeful performance against the US in South Africa (2010). Felt like I’d wasted 2 hours of my life that day which I’ll never get back.

Really not bothered.

Some media talk about Maddison has to go for England.

If that is a priority for England then it sums them up. mediocre at best.

I'll be watching 100%. Why not?

I can't be arsed no more. Football is soulless and this world Cup sums it up.

As a proud English man I want England to win everything in every sport. I’ll watch every England game and if we win it as unlikely as that is I’d be over the moon!

Bought and paid for wc in Qatar, soon to be a 2 horse race between abu Dhabi and Saudis in premier League, a two horse race between Qatar and abu Dhabi in CL.
Lucky we saved the soul of football from the money grabbing super League ?.

I'll watch from the knockouts onwards probably, depending on kick off times. Is there much of a time difference? As has been said above the media love in with getting Maddison into the squad is laughable. As Ed1 has stated about his disciplinary issues you can be sure Southgate won't want them kind of disruptions in the squad.

The lack of build up is nothing to do with the human rights record imo. Ita purely because the prem/ league has, rightly, taken centre stage.

Once the last game finishes next game week, it will go in to full build up.

As for where its held and how they won it is obviously contentious. But its going to go on whether I watch or not. If I had to pay to watch it, I probably wouldn't. But the money has already gone into their pockets from the various sponsors and stadia.

I work from home so in all likelihood each game depending on time, will be on in the background.

Good point WYred. If I had to pay to watch it I wouldn’t bother, but if I’m free when England play (or other ‘big’ nations play each other) I’ll probably watch. Can’t guarantee I’ll get through the whole 90 though.

I love football so during a normal World Cup I’ll watch most games regardless of the teams but this time it just doesn’t seem the same I can’t get excited, I don’t really care. Plenty or injuries and fatigue to come. Sounds awful but I hope it’s an awful World Cup and FIFO’s learns lesson but they won’t they never do.

I'm just grateful for the break so Klopp and his team can do what they didn't have the time to do this summer: get our boys fit and firing for 2/ 3 of the season that's left. Hoping England flop as i just can't stomach waistcoat wally and a lot of our cheating players. Hoping Messi can finally lift it.

Hope the WC is a flop, remembered only for a multitude of human rights protests. And all the Liverpool players come back uninjured.

I love watching world cups and euros as a spectacle. But I can’t stand England (born in Liverpool) I always back the Irish or Wales if they qualify. But I normally pick a team and support them for it . But I try to watch all the games have done since Italia 90. I am liking the Dutch or Brazil this time.
