Afternoon eds1
Are you able to do a game review from the Leeds game. I didn’t get to watch the game so would love to read a review. If not could Sean do one please 🙏🏼.

{Ed001's Note - I am not able to watch them either so no sorry. I am not going to watch any deliberately as our form picked up when I was unable to watch and my superstitions have come into play. I won't watch again until we lose, so hopefully I won't see another game this season!}

Long - it was a highly entertaining game. Leeds started well and I thought should have had a penalty within the first 10 minutes. After they didn’t get the pen it was a walkover.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m not so sure that was a mailed on penalty Mark. It was 50/50 at best.

I didn’t say nailed on mate. But did he get the ball or the man? Allison basically swung hit foot missed the ball and sent James down and stopped him scoring a certain goal. I hoped Allison had put these wobbles behind him.

Mark I agree. Penalty for me also. I always think what if it was the other way round and if that happened to one of our strikers, I would expect a penalty and if not, I would expect VAR to have intervened. I think the ref done a lot of favours for us last night. Bit unsure on the Mane penalty as well.

I'm the same Tris, very superstitious- when we won the league I watched every game and was convinced I couldn't miss a game. I've missed a fair few games now and I think we've won every match or close to it, so obviously I shouldn't watch them! I still tune into the live chats for updates during the matches lol.

Never a penalty in a million years. Watch the replay and you'll see Dan James actually clatters through Alisson's standing (left) leg and pushes Ali's standing leg into the ball which is why he missed it with his swinging right boot. If anything it was a foul on Alisson but as neither player got the ball clean can see why it was seen as a coming together. If that's a penalty strikers just need to start running in to defenders on their blindside and there will be 10-15 a game. James knew it wasn't a penalty as well. I bet he couldn't believe his luck when play was waved on. Luckily for us Matip read the danger and snuffed it out immediately.

I'm with Ed0001 on the superstition. Same for me, except I HAVE to watch and i need to put on one of the black jerseys (not the home ones) . Oh, and of course the usual seat etc etc.

Oh, and this applies to the kids as well.

My wife is a saint. bless her. Amd my friends are tolerant of me showing up to fancy dos in LFC jerseys. bless 'em too. 😜.

I’m superstitious too can’t put Liverpool players in my dream team ( bottom of league for ages) everyone has had no captain and iota Trent etc I just load my team with players from city Chelsea etc to jinx them. Worth the £20 entrance fee.

I agree MK my first thought after seeing the replay was that VAR probably would’ve ruled the goal out if he’d scored as James took Ali’s standing leg. I couldn’t believe it when the ‘pundits’ Harry Kewell and Tim Sherwood were saying it was a nailed on penalty I started to question my eyesight!
Looking at it again I was right Ali shielded the ball with his left leg a James clattered through it sending him flying.
Never a penalty in a million years just another effort to undermine our performance. ‘Yes Liverpool won comfortably but it could’ve been so different had Leeds got their stonewall penalty decision’. Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.
