Is Liverpool playing in Europa cup this year?

1.) 21 Aug 2015 06:52:24
If only there was a way of searching for this information.

2.) 21 Aug 2015 11:07:26
I'm not sure but certainly last nights star alignment and the current air pressure implies that we are.

3.) 21 Aug 2015 11:16:53
Ha ha ha. Great post Ron.

4.) 21 Aug 2015 11:55:32
Could Kit possibly be a United fan?

5.) 21 Aug 2015 14:06:53
He fits the profile of a united fan with his display of football knowledge.

Firmino vs depay.
Which club got value for money??
Comments appreciated.

1.) 07 Jul 2015 07:49:46
I genuinely believe firmino as it stands. Certainly for Liverpool he was a better buy as we didn't need another player who in my opinion will struggle this season in the prem for a number of reasons. Firmino has much more first team football and at a much higher level. So overall I would say firmino for this season but potentially depay long term as he does have a lot of quality in him

2.) 07 Jul 2015 07:51:07
Won't really kmow until the seasons' end. Firmino arguably Been playing in a better league and has already played away from his home league so perhaps could adopt slightly easier. De pay is meant to have a pretty bad attitude ( read that somewhere - it could be wrong) I'm happier with Firmino for that reason.

3.) 07 Jul 2015 07:56:16
Both the clubs paid over the odds for the player IMO. both are very good players.

4.) 07 Jul 2015 08:01:26
Erm, kinda difficult to judge before either has played at least a few competitive games for their new clubs!!

Unless you want to compare the fees paid to Transfermarkt values?!

5.) 07 Jul 2015 09:01:23
Di Maria vs Coutinho. Who got the better deal as far as money goes?

6.) 07 Jul 2015 09:24:22
Firmino. Easy. Depay hasn't proved himself at the top level yet. Firmino has 4 goals in 9 games for Brazil.

7.) 07 Jul 2015 09:32:14
I could be mistaken but I am sure I have seen it said here that we paid and offered way more for Firmino than other clubs did. How can that be value for money?

8.) 07 Jul 2015 09:35:14
I'm honestly scared of Depay, scared of him being succesful at MU. He seems like a freaking beast, I was shocked when I saw him play for the Netherlands at the World Cup, he was amazing. Some say he's the next Robben, but some guy said he's the next Ronaldo, and I agree. His style of play is way more physical then Robben, really similar to Ronaldo. I just don't want him to achieve his potential at MU, let him go to Real so he spares us!

9.) 07 Jul 2015 10:01:32
Depay looks an excellent signing. Firmino looks a great signing too. Hopefully Firmino will settle and will be better but I expect Depay to be very good for MU as well.

10.) 07 Jul 2015 11:22:05
If I'm stuck in a desert for two weeks by the end of it I'd be willing to chop off an arm for a bottle of water doesn't mean it's good value for money.

£2m for s Coates????? LFC SHOULD PUT A BUY BACK CLAUSE. Then buy him back after some time for £2m and sell him for more. I can see another gabriel paulista scenario, where we sell on the cheap and the valuation just rockets. I wonder why LFCincome is so poor. We need to put option to buy at certain price in contracts to make money.

1.) 29 Jun 2015 12:50:59
I agree we aren't very clued up with transfers but then Mr ayre is running the show so .

2.) 29 Jun 2015 13:22:14
He has one year left on his contract. He is clearly not wanted at Liverpool and he has not been wanted for a long time. When he did get a small chance a few years ago he showed that he is too slow for us. Before people go on about other slow defenders making it my response is he is not at the same level as John Terry, etc.

£2m seems a good and a fair deal to me. I wish him all the best and I really hope he nails down a place there. It should be a good move for him with Wes Brown and John O'Shea well into the twilight of their careers so best of luck to him!

3.) 29 Jun 2015 14:14:33
doesnt matter to me. Its £2million we don't have currently for a player who doesn't play, on top of his wages

4.) 29 Jun 2015 14:31:09
Good luck Coates. Will always remember him for that Bicycle kick against Qpr

5.) 29 Jun 2015 14:51:11
Yeah buy him for 8 millionwas it? Never play him and sell him for 2? Yeah good deal. Lol at the muppets that disagree

6.) 29 Jun 2015 16:53:03
Think you mean Gabriel Paletta not Paulista. Bear in mind he's had a really bad injury, and before that couldn't make first team. I think it's 2 million rising to 4 million based on appearances.

Good luck to him just didn't work out with the us

7.) 29 Jun 2015 17:23:23
@OG, I think it was £6m we bought him for but anyway ya I think £2m is a fair deal.

Remember you're the one who said a day or two ago that going for Benteke was the owners penny pinching so pot kettle black in terms of clueless is what I think!

8.) 29 Jun 2015 18:54:41
You still need to get past the initial transfer fee mate you really do!

9.) 29 Jun 2015 20:02:26
@OG, stop trying to be clever. You are trying to pretend Benteke is the 'cheap' option as his wages could have been lower than Bacca's. Ed001 told you that he still would not be the cheaper option.

In terms of not being able to see past initial transfer fees then look at yourself in this post. You brought up what we paid for Coates years ago - this is tough for us. His ability, his wages, how many teams are interested, how many of those he would have interest in - these are all more important for his current selling price than what we paid years ago.

Stop trying to have a go at the transfers for silly things. That's all I'm saying.

That shows How Ramos had affected the game. First Salah then Karius. It will show other teams and refs to be aware of Ramos and also learn from Goalkeepers being harm during challenges and what consequences it may have. Managers also would be encouraged to check with goalkeepers if they r ok.

{Ed025's Note - maybe they should play in a suit of armour kit, after all they could break a nail or something....its nothing short of pathetic, these namby pamby snow flakes are ruining the game for me and we are looking towards it becoming a non contact sport, heading the ball can cause brain trauma so what next? will kicking the ball creating muscle fatigue be the next medical revelation?, bloody amazing but whats more incredible is that a lot of you are falling for all this guff..

The fee would be the am0unt less the balance Barcelona owes us for Coutinho.

Keita and Fabinho for Can and Ox as we don't know when he is back to full fitness. Also to cover for Milner as he cannot play every game. And as we were so lightweight in midfield with injuries, it is a welcome addition. He is a very good DM and we have not had one since Lucas left. To protect the back r and also to give Henderson a rest as he cannot play every game. Bench looking strong now.

What about Origi as a back up rather than Vardy?

Do not worry guys. After Markovic is gone, we still have Grujic's career to ruin.

Guys the budget for the year in terms of wages is already set at the start of the club's financial. year. so it would be trying to decrease cost vs the prize money received for winng the league but also trying to save pennies compared to the vast amount of money spent to date trying to win the title. So do not unstabilise the team. Players may be unhappy but they xan play in the fa cup and prove their worth.

Hi WYred

I think it was the tone of the reply which some people found offensive. You would not expect the Eds to call someone a 'c. ksucking' on this site.
That is all I can gather which would have taken some people aback.

What about moving Moreno as left wing?
