I think Liverpool have got the players who can get us into the top 4 I just reckon klopp needs to add a couple of shrewd signings in January to get our season back on track.

Two weeks ago when we turned Southampton over we where over the moon now are confidence is rock bottom, klopp said he wanted a challenge and he's got one but I think he can sort this out he's got to sort the silly goals against us before anything else and plug the gaps and then see where we go from there.

He is being let down by individual mistakes and a ref wo had no idea what he was doing vs Watford for their first goal as well as players not giving effort. Time to start cracking heads. If you can't be arsed to give your all or show some effort, off to the bench, stands or out of the club you go. Also, passengers as well as players whose mistakes keep hurting us on the pitch, will no longer be tolerated.

2.) 23 Dec 2015 06:19:09
Things ain't all bad - we've just had horror shows defensively and these happen on a far too regular basis - in a league as competitive as the PL you cannot afford to gift teams goals almost every other game. We've done it a lot this season - Klopp will amend this but it will take time and he is in many ways restricted by the previous regimes actions. I'm still delighted we have Klopp and believe we will be better under his management for seasons to come. It's not great at the minute but their are positives already emerging (we've actually seen youth players in the first XI! ) - I think this season is going to throw us more bad results, I just think these are temporary negatives: the long term outlook is increasingly optimistic IMO.

Good test for us today we need to find a way to beat teams who sit back against us,
I'm sure Klopp is working on this as it's been a problem lately where beaten the attacking teams but coming unstuck against the average teams who sit back. maybe work on the fullbacks to put decent crosses in the box as well as Coutinho, Firmino and Llalana threading balls through, I hope I see a difference today but not holding my breath.

1.) 13 Dec 2015 11:24:37
Can't disagree but who do see Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana threading balls through to? Sturridge and Ings are injured and Suarez and Torres have left the club . That's it .

{Ed001's Note - why not each other? Or Henderson? Or Can? It doesn't have to be a striker making runs.}

2.) 13 Dec 2015 11:47:24
Agree ed.
With studge, Ings etc out it might force a few others into making runs as they have been guilty of relying on top strikers for too long.

3.) 13 Dec 2015 11:51:58
Pulis' team will deal with crosses easily, after all, it is the only thing they practice on with the ball.

4.) 13 Dec 2015 11:57:13
coutinho and firmino's link up play is pretty good.

5.) 13 Dec 2015 12:07:53
I can't disagree with any of these points so hopefully Benteke will be on the bench today.

I am not Benteke bashing, dozens on these pages have had a go at him all week for refusing to move at Newcastle, I personally don't believe he can move in a manner that fits in with flexible passing football. That's not his fault.

If Benteke starts today we all know what type of game it will be, that's just my personal opinion based on the number of slow centre forwards we have used that were suited to our game since we returned to the top flight in the sixties. Very, very few.

6.) 13 Dec 2015 13:28:32
Playing Benteke will play right into the Baggies hands especially, if he plays like he did vs Newcastle. We need to move their defense around and create passing lanes for our kids to run into and create the overload. You're not going to get that with Benteke.

7.) 13 Dec 2015 13:32:34
What is it with reading posts with Suarez and Torres being mentioned! So much more to a team than strikers scoring goals! Llanna, Firmino, Coutinho, Milner, Henderson, Can and so on into the full backs and centre backs all need to chip in with goals. Yes it's primarily a strikers job to score the goals but other players have the responsibility also.
Suarez and Torres have been and gone. There never going to come back. It's about who we have now and Klopp getting the best out of them.

8.) 13 Dec 2015 15:29:16
And Benteke starts up top.

Klopp, once again, refuses to re-assemble the great attack we showed against City, with Firmino as a false 9 in front of Lallana and Coutinho.

I fully expect another weak offensive showing.

16 Jul 2015 07:26:51
We should let the mancs buy Benteke for 32 million, and concentrate on someone better and a bit cheaper surely there is some decent strikers out there, come on scouts earn your crust.

Las

1.) 16 Jul 2015 08:24:33
Strange is, the lib got knocked out by Bacca who is a lot cheaper to Benteke, how would we negotiate with Villa?

2.) 16 Jul 2015 09:03:12
Should we pay 32 mill for a player who is not worth the money even in today's market, it should be 25 mill at the very most because if he's a flop everybody would be kicking off and like Balotelli would be hard to get shut of.
I just think it's a big gamble paying all that money when we've wasted so much lately and Benteke has been inconsistent in the past.

08 Jul 2015 14:05:44
We are all slagging Sterling off which I can understand but if he's not getting on with Rodgers and there is problems between them well maybe I can.
I've got a feeling if Rodgers weren't there he'd be fine with the likes of Ibe, Coutinho, Sturridge, Firmino,Origi, Ings and Hendrrson I think Sterling would enjoy playing in that Attacking unit,, I think there is more to this and probably we will find out in time.
Also these guys are his mates and good mates why would he want to move elsewhere, and no I don't thinks it's the money.

Las

1.) 08 Jul 2015 14:22:47
Trust me, if someone offered your mates an extra £100k per week to move away from you, they wouldn't even stop to say goodbye.

Red Rum

2.) 08 Jul 2015 14:28:46
There is no excuse for the way Sterling and his agent have been getting on! Does his agent not get on with Rodgers either?

3.) 08 Jul 2015 14:36:29
Absolute nonsense. He's probably taking the advice of his Ahole agent and trying to force through his move to another club.

4.) 08 Jul 2015 14:47:01
There's basically two camps. If you're anti-Rodgers then it's his fault Sterling left. If you're not then this is just a PR stunt.

5.) 08 Jul 2015 14:57:01
Some mates you have Red-Rum!

6.) 08 Jul 2015 15:15:30
All that kn** head agent see's is £££ signs and the chance of a hefty percentage pay out which he won't get if Sterling stays. Sterling isn't stupid either and will be just as much after a nice pay out as the agent. Both of them are as bad as each other. Good riddance if you ask me and LFC should never do any business in the future involving that agent. Cash in and move on, I prefer Ibe to him anyway so no loss there.

7.) 08 Jul 2015 15:33:27
Or you could be in the camp that isn't blinkered muscatred and realise a problem exists with BR, Sterling and his agent. Not just one side or the other.

8.) 08 Jul 2015 14:50:14
If the truth is that he wants to leave because of his relationship with BR is the issue then why did his agent make his statement about him wanting to leave before the end of season review was concluded? BR could have been gone?

9.) 08 Jul 2015 14:50:44
The way I see it is that sterling isn't exactly the brightest spark and his agent is just an absolute d!ck who basically is trying to play puppet master

10.) 08 Jul 2015 16:13:46
Jeez Back! Calm down. I just did a massive post about how no one's faultless. My comment was about how we as fans react to the story. We believe what we want to believe. If you want Rodgers to be the villain then you'll believe Rodgers chased him out. If you dislike the kid then you'll write this off as a PR stunt. It's obviously more complicated than that but this accounts for how 90% of us feel.

11.) 08 Jul 2015 19:50:35
Something just doesn't seem right to me, I thought Sterling would be happy to develop with this young squad, but maybe I'm wrong, LFC is definitely the place he should be developing with even G.neville and other pros have said it.
If it is his decision to leave he is a total atsehole and not because I'm a biased red.
I could be wrong but I think Rodgers could have something to do with the situation also if he goes elsewhere he will be a benchwarmerno doubt about it.

23 Jun 2015 09:54:11
I think we should go all out and get Firminho and show are intentions for next season, he will add goals as an attacking midfielder something that we lacked last season.

He is also at a good age and would probably link well with Coutinho.
One of our problems of recent seasons is goals from midfield the likes of Allen, Henderson, Lucas, and Gerrards goals have been drying up, it's only Coutinho who scores from open play and he's not prolific yet. Any good teams scores plenty of goals from midfield , so let's hope we get the kid.

Las

1.) 23 Jun 2015 12:49:59
So what happens to Lallana and Coutinho, both of whom play the same position as Firmino.

2.) 23 Jun 2015 13:39:21
Simple mate we need to score from midfield so we can't play 4 or 5 midfielders who never hardly score, if we want to stay 6th or 7th carry on playing the same players like you mentioned.

3.) 23 Jun 2015 13:43:14
False 9 AG, False 9

4.) 23 Jun 2015 13:53:30
If he`s not a top striker which he isn`t, I don`t see the need for him here

5.) 23 Jun 2015 14:40:12
Don't be disappointed when it doesn't happen

6.) 23 Jun 2015 14:54:11
How about an actual number 9? We need goals, and I disagree it has to be from midfield. Compare goals from midfield last season and the season before last. There are no problems in terms of goals from midfield. We need a striker, not another attacking midfielder, even though Firmino is an excellent player. You guys are making strange reasons for wanting a player LFC has no need for.

A penny for Sterlings thoughts this morning, he probably thought we where a spent force, I really think we can do better without him hoping anyway.

I'm sorry ed002 but I've been watching the Reds for almost 40 years but lately there never seems to be a plan, we seem to go for players half heartedly, I don't want this great club to fall apart, we are not that far away from a good side but we seem to be in a mess with a few issues like transfers and Rodgers is he right man or not also I think there is more to the sterling issue, it's strange why he would want to leave when he is with a lot of good young talent
Ibe, coutinho, sterling, can, Moreno , Henderson and few others coming through
Thank you and nothing against you eds but I'm getting a gut feeling there is problems ahead.

Las

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool bought in a bucket load of players each year since the owners arrived. This summer has seen three already agreed - hardly an issue.

Sterling is suffering from bad advice. With the two other recent issuettes and the problems over the signing of the contract, I suspect that the club are getting pretty sick of him at this time. Typically clubs don't like this sort of thing happening and they certainly don't like it happening in the public domain - sadly Rodgers is happy to air all of the in house issues with anyone who will listen.} There is nothing at all happening with Sterling right now and the club have said they will discuss matters at the end of the season. Meanwhile, his agent and another representative have been trying to gauge interest from other clubs. It is nothing to do with the other kiddies at the club.}

I can see benteke going Klopp obviously doesn't rate him also Allen could go I'm not sure who else though, I hope Klopp has something up his sleeve because to many players look ordinary lately, Firmino is offering nothing Clyne is going backwards skrtel is doing is usual mistakes, Hopefully we can sign a powerful cb to stop these mistakes that have been happening for season after season for starters and maybe a good winger.

Firmino is definitely a passenger does nothing to contribute to our team at the moment, I hope klopp has some plans for us because we are lacking ideas, hopefully he will sign maybe 2 players to give us a boost. centre half hopefully is 1 position he should fill.

{Ed002's Note - Thank you for being so open. It is a refreshing change from all of the other Liverpool supporters who think they had super-models to be when they were young.}
