Hey eds!
With firmino signing will the intrest in signing bacca vanish?
Or there can still be a chance of we being intrested in signing him?
Thankyou!

{Ed001's Note - it is not a related move at all. Firmino was not instead of Bacca, they play completely different roles.}

Really hope the club is still chasing a CF because Firmino is not one. If we get our hands on both Bacca and Firmino, i have no doubt the club will easily get top4 next season. But that unfortunately signals the end for Markovic and probably Teixiera at the club as they will not get any game time with all the AMs already at the club plus Firmino now.
What do u think Ed001, will the club still go for a CF now Firmino has signed or will Firmino be used as a CF by Brendan?

{Ed001's Note - Firmino is not the end of the transfer business mate. We still want another striker too. I would assume that getting one would mean Origi will have to go out on loan. Teixeira was expected to get another loan move anyway, to help him recover from his injury. I also am told it is likely Markovic will be moved out on loan.}

Yeah Firmino is our dreamy Sterling replacement, but a 1st choice striker is still needed. I just can't see us signing Bacca somehow, don't think he'd be too keen. If the Rondon interest is real maybe him, I guess Aubamayang is a bit pricey. Gameiro as a fall back option.

Now, roll up roll up and get in line for two Italian strikers. Only slightly used and available in multiple club colours. A lion and a sloth that are guaranteed to bring any Serie A side at least some headlines.

I beleive they can play similair roles, I actually hope that he Will play like a forward, and that we play 4-4-2 with diamond on the mid. IF we get rid of lambert, borini and balo that means we have 4 frontmen in studge, origi, firmino and ings. that's good enough for me.

A penny for Sterlings thoughts this morning, he probably thought we where a spent force, I really think we can do better without him hoping anyway.

If we can't find a top top striker at the right price in this window, I'd also be happy to have Studge, Firmino, Ings and Origi as the strikers until next window

Best thing about Firmino is his versatility to play upfront (with Ings?) while Sturridge injured so we're not forced to panic buy like last season. time to be patient and strengthen FB and DM if we can get Clyne/Kovacic

If last season taught us anything, we shouldn't use all our bullets in one go if the right players aren't there

How's it going Ed001?

I know the likes of Bacca and Firmino are definitely unrelated pieces of transfer business, but I'm just wondering about the financial side of it? As in is the club capable of spending the proposed large sums of money it would take for both signings, considered the debt were supposed to be in?

Thanks

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea, I do not have access to the accounts of the entire group to have any kind of opinion on that.}

We've already sold Aspas and if we can sell Sterling, Borini, Skertl and Coates I'd imagine we'd achieved a profit this transfer window.
