So funny reading all the comments like 'when are our fringe players going to get any playing time now', they got playing time last night and they lost or did everybody miss that? Or should we have played a full strength team first round and then the fringe players after that?

1.) 20 Sep 2017 11:24:58
My issue wasn't the team picked, the first half they played well and did themselves proud it was the premature substitute of countho that annoyed me, granted woodburn was the best player the second half but Coutinho is somebody regardless of how absent he may be can score a goal form noWhere, they made a positive change and ours was reactive in the end.

2.) 20 Sep 2017 11:30:23
Exactly mate. Klopp can't win.

3.) 20 Sep 2017 11:32:44
Considering you had the likes of Coutinho, Gomez (most want first choice) , Robertson, Ward (your best keeper) , Henderson, Gini, The OX (£40m signing) , and Leicester also played fringe players, I think your fellow fans were hoping for better to be honest.

4.) 20 Sep 2017 11:49:09
Cant believe myself agreeing with a united supporter.

5.) 20 Sep 2017 11:56:37
Thank you stand, Leicester former champions also played with Iborra (15m) and gray (20m bid turned down this summer) (many would argue should be first choice) Chilwell, dragovic ( their best cb) Albrighton, Ndidi (15m) and slimani (25-30m) and I'm sure the Leicester fans would also have been disappointed to be beaten with this team had they lost to us. Or am I missing this? Next point please.

6.) 20 Sep 2017 11:58:16
Johnbarnes you're unhappy with the substitution but feel his replacement was the best player, you can see coutinhos still not ready can't you?

7.) 20 Sep 2017 18:47:24
Indeed, Klopp can't win. People always like to be geniuses after the fact. Cou was prolly already earmarked to play 45 mins as he clearly can't play 90 right now BUT clearly, that is too difficult to understand to the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" people on here. Always got something to moan about. It's getting boring now. Give over.

16 Sep 2017 19:41:05
Good to see Spurs dropping out of the title race with us!

1.) 16 Sep 2017 19:47:52
Think it is about time we stop worrying about what other teams around us do.

We cannot rely on Spurs dropping points at home when the game at Anfield today should have been won irrespective of whether the season is still young.

2.) 16 Sep 2017 19:50:22
#Pochettino out.

3.) 16 Sep 2017 19:54:06
25 shots, 75% possession, 30 goal a season striker we lack kane (failed to score) swansea didn't even manage a shot on target. I guess it's not just us?

4.) 16 Sep 2017 19:55:47
Title. It's between UTD and City. Spurs and Chelsea will complete the top 4 puzzle!

5.) 16 Sep 2017 20:05:55
Calm down Maxy it's only 5 games buddy, don't spit your dummy out just yet. 'Fans' like you are what I hate about this site after a poor performance, you think the season is over after 5 games. There's absolutely no patience with any fans on here every wanting success overnight or wholesale changes and expect the same again. After city thumped is everyone is here crying over how our defence is shocking and it's holding us back. But today we have 30 shots so now, days later, all I'll read is how our attack isn't good enough, we need a 60 goal a season striker, why didn't Klopp buy one etc etc. We have a top end side who previously were losing games like the one today. We may not be definite title contenders but we have a chance even still, nothing is won or lost yet and all younaysayers will be surprised what a bit of confidence can do when we get on a winning run.

6.) 16 Sep 2017 20:11:09
Your favorite teams, eh Harry? Don't worry, I won't tell anybody else.

By the way to those saying we need a top striker, how did Spurs not score a goal today when they had an excellent no 9 at their disposal today? You people are hilarious.

7.) 16 Sep 2017 20:24:55
The PL is tough Bingo. All top teams will have games like we had today it's why it's the best league in the world. We just need to move on to the next game and stop all this moaning and whinging. I really think we are close to something special we just need to stick with it, support and have faith.

8.) 16 Sep 2017 20:42:55
City have blown hot and cold each season Harry. They have a tremendous attack like we do but their defence is not polished.

If Lukaku gets injured then UTD are back to square one.

This season is far from over and Liverpool like many seasons before have issues. Chelsea are my favorites to win it again.

9.) 16 Sep 2017 20:46:17
but they won against BM who is a better team than our opponents Sevilla.

10.) 16 Sep 2017 20:56:29

All if's and But's mate. UTD have a manager who won 3 trophies last season without LUKAKU!

11.) 16 Sep 2017 21:22:08
Well said back my mate! I didn't want to be rude to people but how can you throw the towel in after five games? It's frankly pathetic. I still believe we have some of the best supporters in the game but you wouldn't know it reading some of the posts on here. You sound like petulant kids, honest you do.

Ings bingo and back. Good lads, keep supporting the team after a dissapointing result! I respect your optimism and share it. We are a better team than spurs. Simple. We will get top four, we lost this game last year so you have to say we have improved. Look at our bench for today. It must be one of the strongest benches about and we don't have the endless wealth of some. That to me is another sign we have a great manager.

12.) 16 Sep 2017 21:26:44
Harry what is it with u lad are you sure your a liverpool fan everyone of your posts are about another tem of a player that doesn't play for us your posts are rather negitave ans sad really!
Its like re rewind not fade away
Re rewind not fade away.
For god sake lad give your head a wobble, shut your shxxe and give us a break, we only a month into the bloody season.
Blah blah blah blah blah.

13.) 16 Sep 2017 21:45:54
guys its not about throwing the towel, do you really think Lfc has improved from last year, are we playing just how we were last year. City being hot and cold? we are the hottest and the coolest then. i see us as 1 step ahead and 2 backward. Do u think Kloop had truly made the difference in his game plan and in his defensive fraility.

14.) 16 Sep 2017 22:57:48
It's too soon to say it's over. I'm glad I'm an optimist coz pessimism must suck.

16 Sep 2017 18:23:06
Enjoyable to read that city will runaway with the title after 5 games, nobody remember the start pep had to his first season? Part of a successful title challenge is hitting form at the right time, which generally isn't the first 5 games.

1.) 16 Sep 2017 19:30:50
Spot on, Back BUT the usual suspects are here spouting doom and gloom cos City beat a hapless Watford team 6-0 and we should all pack up and go home and not bother showing up for the season.

Even we put 3 past that lot while being in second gear. And don't forget, City won the first 5 of their games last season and people saod everyone should move over and make way. What happened? They barely scraped 3rd, 3 points ahead of who? LFC. Go figure.

2.) 16 Sep 2017 21:13:56
To be fair to Watford they've put in some decent performance s, I haven't seen today's game yet but maybe city were that good.

14 Sep 2017 18:03:57
Any chance, as well as the new match page, could we also have a page for the posters that insist on writing at least 30% of their post in CAPITAL LETTERS FOR NO REASON?

1.) 14 Sep 2017 19:03:56
maybe there from London well it is the capital 😁.

06 Sep 2017 10:25:56
They are a very poor side currently Jezza, as close to Georgia in second last as Ireland in 3rd. Only won 2 games. Also they were extremely poor at the last euros. I would suggest you take some time to watch the side if your basis for judging them is a good qualifying campaign 2 years ago for a tournament they were extremely poor in once qualified. Apart from Arnautovic and Alaba they have poor players. Even arnie is skilful but so inconsistent.

1.) 06 Sep 2017 10:39:48
A reply to a below post sorry folks.

2.) 06 Sep 2017 10:48:53
It doesn't matter as Woodie is Quality. Now you play him against San Marino or Germany the boy will always find a way to show his quality! Quality is permanent!

3.) 06 Sep 2017 10:53:37
Ok Harry.

If you want any news on Damiao track down the user known as 'The Oracle' from the spurs site. Was a very big Damiao fan every window if memory serves me correctly.

It's World Cup year he should be out of the squad until after the Jan window. Not played and not sold. When the prospect of moving is gone and the World Cup round the corner and he is not featuring we would get a stellar few months of couts or he won't make wc squad and probably miss his dream move.

Yes Ed001, Falcao is surely one of the most high profile payers involved with TPO in recent times. A question if you have time ed, was it correct we had to pay a fee to sort out TPO issues with firmino when we signed hime? or is this incorrect and disallowed in the german league?

{Ed001's Note - I believe there was something of a problem with his ownership at the time, though Ed002 is really the person who would know.}

Kante cannot be overlooked for this position a serial winner and proven performer.
Casemiro is next, a real unit and big influence on madrids success last year. Offers something different to Kante also.
Lastly id have Daniele De Rossi, a real warrior and someone who has played this position for so long. Would offer a proven link with the Italian cbs we have chosen.

Ed002 has posted in great detail about third party ownership kev and could suggest that as a massive reason we/ anybody else didn't sign him. Looks more likely when you consider he moved to Porto where this was regular practice. In reality they probably paid about 5million euros for half of his economic rights.

{Ed001's Note - and he moved to Atletico with 3rd party ownership still involved.}

Surprised David Luiz hasn't been given a shout he was great last year, I'd have to take him in mine given he will have world class dm to protect him. Chiellini is the rock solid head he needs beside him. I'd happily have Ramos and bonucci as back up to these two.
