Sorry to throw in a random name but just came across somewhere on the internet that we could me interested in signing Alex Song. Any truth in it Eds and I would also like to know Ed001's opinion on if he'd suit us, if he's free. Thanks in advance

KrishnaYNWA

{Ed001's Note - I am not aware of any interest in him, thankfully. I doubt he would take the wage cut it would require to sign for us anyway.}

1.) Song and cole linked, don't think either are viable due to wages and personally I wouldn't want either. Masch however I would welcome back in a heartbeat, would others and do the eds see this as a possibility?

{Ed001's Note - it would be a surprise after the way he left.}

2.) I can't see Masch back tbh. He's a booking waiting to happen that guy.

Good player, don't get me wrong. I would have to question why he has played CB for the last few years though? Not good enough? I'm really unsure.

3.) Mr T, you question why he plays CB. I think it's because Barca have really poor central midfielders.

Does Ilori have a future at the club, the lad's gotten pi55ed at not getting a chance, how's he really fared for you Ed001, and must it have commanded a start?

KrishnaYNWA

{Ed001's Note - he is playing well in Spain, and he does have a future at the club, if he is prepared to knuckle down and make one. It is really up to him, but I hope he sees that he has every chance of being a regular if he puts his mind to it.}

I know of the interest in Will Hughes, but are we in negotiating terms yet or are we likely to be in, in the next month?

We already touched upon this a little somewhere I believe. Worse things have been told and forgiven. However, Klopp being a really passionate and authoritative person, do you see him forgiving Couts and integrating him to the squad? We all know he didn't Sakho. One difference could be that Couts wanted a move, not because he does not buy into Klopp and his long term plan, but majorly due to the pull of Barcelona.

KrishnaYNWA

1.) 21 Aug 2017 06:09:35
Why would he not want him sold if he doesn't want to integrate him back into the squad? If he had no intention of doing so he would sell him.

2.) 21 Aug 2017 08:01:50
Also look at the dortmund players that he wanted to stay but they moved to bayern instead (lewandowski, hummels, götze) he still cuddled with them when we faced bayern. I think Klopp has a bif heart and ubderstands coutinhos situation.

3.) 21 Aug 2017 08:34:09
Klopp is very passionate and all that BUT having read an interview he gave years ago, the guy does not hold any grudges especially regarding his players not wanting to stay. remember, he wanted to bring Gotze here last season which shows you that he understands his players first, on the human level, which is essential to be successful. He understands Cou's situation (even tho Cou orchestrated the whole thing himself) and would integrate him ASAP provided Cou's head is right.

Hey Ed001, how're you mate. Question for you. Do you think Pepjin would be ready to step up next as our manager? Or do you think he'll move elsewhere to start with first team management? Also on a side note, would love to hear what noises are being made of Gerrard and how he's coping with his new challenge. Cheers.

KrishnaYNWA

{Ed001's Note - depends on when that is. Gerrard has barely even started yet, far too early.}

Posting after long on here. Wish the team and staff a very successful season. Klopp should get his substitutions and rotation correct in this long season. Would have liked him to have given more youngsters a chance last time round, hope we see some make the match day squad, with the odd 10-15 mins. In the players hands, not Klopp alone. Make headway with respect to PR this season with no BS. No whining about fixtures come Christmas or towards end of season. Onwards and upwards, an important season for us. Ynwa.

Happy Christmas and a wonderful year ahead lads.
Eds - prepared for silly season?

KrishnaYNWA

{Ed002's Note - It is always the silly season on the Liverpool pages.}

There was a piece on the daily fail by Carra that I just read, about management, how players who have had good careers on pitch are cautious about management. Good read in my opinion, Carra was pretty honest I felt, in his assessment.

His attitude deserves some form of recognition. He felt more relaxed at Sunderland and bit too anxious while he's at Liverpool. The move will do him some good. All the best, Fabio!

Thanks for the reply Ed.

Social media has gone toxic with constant abuses, whinings, journalists have become lazy with senseless and repeated questions, pundits are discussing utter crap about the gameplay and formations. Papers recycling same rubbish. The few knowledgeable lot have either got their tongues cut out or have gone back into their shells.

Apart from the 90 minutes, everything else is just trash. Embarrassingly, I've got to hold my hand up and admit to have contributed to it as well.

Looks like my previous reply went incomplete. What I was saying Ed was, what is your opinion of media's involvement in this? I feel that and social media has turned the game more plastic.

I'm not taking away anything from your comments or not running away from what you have mentioned. I agree to that, to a large extent as well.

KrishnaYNWA

{Ed002's Note - Absolutely, social media has changed the paradigm of the typical sports media immeasurably. News is now instant, misleading, correct, etc.. People take to Twitter and believe everything they read whiclst fat kids from Bolton are more than happy to put more swill in the trough for them. In terms of the general media (newspapers) then they will pull thoughts of blogs and social media and then develop them to the point that they become plausible. Some clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool come to mind) have their sweetened tame media that they share a little bit more than usual with. But out there remains quite a lot of more astute journalists who will speak with clubs they have a relationship with, peak to agents who don't look to exploit the media and often speak with players at training grounds. Clubs will welcome journalists they have a good reputation with and who they know will not be looking to twist anything. There are also a large number of intermediaries who fall in to a gray area where they are truly looking to exploit players one way or another for their own gain. You can look up things like the al Bangura tale which is all tied in to a guy who has published a book on the exploitation of youngster in football. There has been quite a big deal going on in Belgium about it for a couple or three of years. Investigations are on-going in Spain which has the Cotonou Agreement where African and Caribbean players are not counted against non-EU quotas so t Others here is a periodic influx of Africans, often young and from poor families. I suspect a bigger deal than is necessary will be made of the whole matter. So these agents will use the media, social media and any contacts they can to gain leverage and exploit in all sorts of ways. The easiest is the social media stream which feeds the gullible.}

I don't think he'll be half arsed when played. If he is half arsed, he'll not be played. When he does play, I think he'll just be more desperate to perform.
