Ed001/ Ed002

Are either of you aware of Origi's situation at Wolfsburg? Is he wanting to come back or stay on beyond the current loan? On the other side of that, do Wolfsburg want him beyond this season? Are they happy with him? Have LFC been keeping tabs/ communication with said player/ loan club regarding this?

Thanks in advance,

Kev Bennett.

Bennett Jnr

{Ed002's Note - Wolfsburg would like to buy him in the summer, or strike a loan to buy deal, and the player is open to staying in Germany if he does not have a future at Liverpool (ideally as a starter). Right now I expect that his long-term future will be away from Liverpool.}

1.) 07 Feb 2018 12:37:59
Interesting.

Also out of interest Ed002, can a club turn a standard loan into a loan to buy off the back of a 'normal' loan? Or would a club (say Wolfsburg for example) have to take a second loan which would be under a loan to buy agreement?

And thank you for your reply Ed002/ The Oracle/ Rodeo Clown.

{Ed002's Note - There would no need to change the existing loan from a loan to one with an option to buy if both clubs would agree - it makes no sense. A second loan makes sense if Liverpool are not sure or wish to keep him but cannot assure playing time next season.}

2.) 07 Feb 2018 13:01:04
Makes sense.

Thanks Ed, your vast knowledge is always appreciated.

3.) 07 Feb 2018 17:05:42
Unfortunately the player did not/ was not allowed the progress he needed. I would be happy if we allowed him to leave with a buy back clause like Ibe.

4.) 07 Feb 2018 22:49:21
Shame really because I think if we'd of persevered with him, he could've been pretty good for us. Having said this, Origi or Firmino? it's a no brainer therefore I do understand why we loaned him out but for me he should've stayed and been rotated a little bit, he's still young. But what do I know. Personally I think it should've been Sturridge out before Origi because Origi has the potential there, Sturridge was never going to be anything special again. You watch Sturridge turn it on now I've said that lol.

5.) 08 Feb 2018 02:35:49
I think Ings needs to prove he can impact off the bench in the next 3 months. if he can’t then we someone who can, and I wouldn’t mind Firmino, Origi and Solanke as our three strikers for next season. I suspect for Origis own sake though a regular starting spot at Wolfsburg makes more sense for his career.

6.) 08 Feb 2018 08:06:01
Given firmino's our number one striker, you can't really give enough minutes to origi and solanke, it's one or the other I think.

7.) 08 Feb 2018 17:07:43
Yes Firmane and it should have been Origi.

Solanke is mediocre.

8.) 08 Feb 2018 19:01:36
Ron I agree origi should be given minutes ahead of solanke just like Ings should be given minutes before solanke but I feel it’s unfair to call him mediocre, after all he’s only a young lad who’s making the transition into the main team. In my opinion he needs using in the lower league cup games or bringing on once we’re outplaying certain sides with a comfortable goal lead. Hopefully him and Brewster reach their potential.

9.) 09 Feb 2018 00:22:58
If you want to compete for top spot you need at least two strikers that can change the game. Your second still needs to be someone that comes on and the opposition feels worried about the new threat rather than feeling your attack has been weakened.

City has both Aguero and Jesus, Utd have Lukaku, Martial, not to mention Sanchez, Rashford and Ibrahimovic. Chelsea were weakest with only Morata (but now have Giroud), Arsenal have Lacazette and now Aubameyang. Only Tottenham are really weak in the no.2 spot but who cares when you have Kane?

I’m sorry but as much as I like Solanke he has yet to prove that he can be that impact player, so until he does he’s third choice for me and gets minutes in cups, games we’ve already scored a couple in (he’s a good hold up player), and maybe the odd lower side in the league.

We need a real threat off the bench, whether that’s Ings (i like him but have my doubts) or someone else. I wouldn’t even mind if our threat was a wide player and Salah was used upfront from time to time, but it has to be a goal scorer.

10.) 09 Feb 2018 10:17:14
Should be Origi IMO.

06 Oct 2015 10:49:17
These 2 comments concern me and are also why I fear a Coutinho sale soon. Ed002 is usually bang on the money!

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona has made it be known that they have an interest in Coutinho. If nothing happens to change that they will make an offer in 2016. However, do not be surprised to see circumstances change - and then we need to wait and see. To get money for June Liverpool can sell in January or sell the loan to buy players - and that is it.}

{Ed002's Note - I understand that Coutinho has said that he will leave Liverpool in the summer if they don't have Champions League football to three of his International colleagues. He is also aware of interest from Barcelona and one of the three is a Barcelona player.}

Morning Eds,

I hear that Jose Enrique is back in training now, are we still looking to sell him if possible?

Bennett Jnr

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 08 Jul 2014 13:30:42
I think he will stay for another year.

04 Oct 2013 09:34:45
Morning E002, hope you are well.

A quick question please, has Turan been offered a new contract yet? If so, has he signed it? {Ed002's Note - He has a new deal, yes.}

Bennett Jnr

1.) Thanks Ed002 {Ed002's Note - The summer was the time to get him - now it will be difficult and expensive.}

2.) Was hoping that wasn't the case but following your posts regarding him, I unfortunately figured as much. Shame really, he would have took us up a level

Embarrassing Liverpool supporter confessions

*On this site*

I whined and moaned like a little bitch on this platform (well I think it was just football-rumours then, please correct me if I'm wrong. ) When we didn't get Clint Dempsey.

Yes, Clint Demsey ladies and Gentlemen.

Although we know now that the situation turned out to have been poorly handled but its still embarrassing none the less.

I tried to search for that old post I did but no luck.

*in my personal life*

The one I remember most is the 1996 FA Cup final.

You see, most of my family are Liverpool supporters apart from 2 of my cousins and my sister (Man U) .

Also, my best friend is a Man U supporter! (You can imagine how fun watching football during the 90's/ 2000's sitting next to him)

When we lost that game I was livid! He was understandably ecstatic.

During all this I just lost it and threw a small wooden chair at him, it missed him but that wasn't the point.

We very nearly got into a full on fight and my family had to spilt us up etc.

We was only 15 at the time as well.

As you can imagine, my my gave me a right bollocking!

I didn't live that down for a bit lol!

Does anyone have any embarrassing/ out of character Liverpool supporting moments they would like to share?

Bennett Jnr

1.) 12 Jun 2018 05:02:19
Was in a bar in Cape Town once and a mate said ‘look over there that’s Bruce Grobelaar’. I bet him R100 it wasn’t and wandered over with him to settle the question.

Me : Hi mate, sorry to bother you but my friend thinks you’re Bruce Grobelaar, but I reckon if so that must make me Tom Cruise.

Bruce (sticking out his hand) : Nice to meet you Tom

But embarrassing but we ended up having a few beers with him, really nice chap.

2.) 12 Jun 2018 07:15:21
Too embarrassed to share some of them before the age of 15 and it was often in participation of sports rather than supporting.
I was terrible, whilst playing sport I was an outrageous cheat and a bully. It was win at all costs and I mean “all”. Then one day I just lost my competitive nature and started enjoying playing again. 🤝.

3.) 12 Jun 2018 10:04:53
I was delighted Charlie Adam signed for us. I say no more.

I was at a friends house, the day he'd bought his brand new Chelsea shirt, still had the tags on in a bag in the kitchen. We was on fifa and he smashed me 4 games in a row and was winding me up so as a prank I put his shirt in the dustbin under a black bag, I left and expected him to message me saying something like 'alright where's my shirt' he didn't.

It went 2 days and I got a phone call, 'did you hide my shirt? ' kinda phone call, I told him where it was but the day before the bins had been emptied lol.

4.) 12 Jun 2018 13:46:16
Lol salah, yeah I liked Adams too. Okay he was a little chubby but he didn't need to run 5 miles in a game as he had a wand of a foot. The fact he has been playing in the Premier league (and playing well) for years, shows he has what it takes.

Good evening Reds and Eds, I hope you're all well and your nerves are holding up! Mine are just barely lol.

I haven't posted in a while but I wanted to tonight as I've got to together a lot of members of my family (most of which are Liverpool supporters. well apart from my sister who's a Utd fan but she's just weird lol) .

Anyways, just listening to the olders talk about their experiences over the years about significant Liverpool games is just amazing. I feel like a child again (except I have a brandy in my hand lol) .

My mum and uncle have just finished the telling of the memory of us winning it in 1981.me being only 6 months old and the adults screaming their heads off with me not being bothered by it at all lol.

Anyways, I'm just rambling now so I just want to say support like you've never supported before! Roar our boys on!

We really can do this!

Come on you Reds!

YNWA.

RB Leizpeg have Bayern at home this evening so I just wanted to send luck to Naby!

Hope you have a great game, get stuck in, be a nuisance to Bayern and use that range of shooting you have!

I cannot see the game unfortunately as I'm otherwise busy but if anyone does could you please let us all know how our boy gets on? :)

Bennett Jnr

1.) 18 Mar 2018 17:43:35
Naby just scored the equaliser from a blocked shot 1st time on his left peg.

2.) 18 Mar 2018 17:51:35
He's bagged. If he was playing with a better striker to play off he'd have an hat trick at half time. That Poulson lad is garp.

3.) 18 Mar 2018 18:19:35
An assist for Keita too. I rate Werner not sure if we are interested in him but seems like a Klopp style of player runs a lot and pretty quick.

4.) 18 Mar 2018 18:20:51
An assist for Keita there nice pass into Werners path. Can't wait to see him supplying our front 3.

5.) 18 Mar 2018 18:21:23
They lead now, Naby assisted Werner!

6.) 18 Mar 2018 20:24:08
Naby assists, scores and puts himself about in midfield as he is very combative. Genuinely excited about what this lad can do.

7.) 18 Mar 2018 21:31:48
We are going to be a force with naby. I think we can win the league and sometimes it's the right player that completes the jigsaw.

8.) 18 Mar 2018 21:53:03
What a player we have to come in.
Naby Keita playing behind Firmino Salah and Mane.
Just the thought of it. 👍🏼👍🏼.

9.) 19 Mar 2018 08:07:18
Hi bannet Jr I think you need to wish luck to LFC too before matches.

10.) 19 Mar 2018 12:39:18
I saw the game and just wow, our Naby who to me, was very measured in his tackles and decision-making, was very effective. He is the real deal and completely as advertised. He has an eye for a pass as his assist for Timo Werner shows. Say what you want about RBL BUT you have to admire the youthful exuberance and energy (pun intended) that they play with.

They play the press the same waywe play and is a club where youth is given a chance with the likes of Lookman, Poulson, Werner, Kampl and of course the French trio of Augustin, Konate and Upamecano. The fact that both Upamecano and Konate at CB are 18 and 18 respectively, is just crazy as both are physical specimens with pace to burn.

17 Mar 2018 19:31:43
Absolutely delighted with the result today! I was personally concerned about Watford being a banana skin!

Mo Salah, my oh my what a player!
Congratulations on your first Liverpool hatrick sir! Surely the golden boot is his this season.

With the Robertson assisted goal I immediately thought of Ed001! You was referring to the shape of his crosses the other day, that was a prime example :)

One step closer to securing Champions League football for next season!

Well done Reds :)

Bennett Jnr

{Ed001's Note - and he got his head up before delivering! Beautiful ball it was.}

1.) 17 Mar 2018 19:41:28
I hope he gets past the 31 in 38 games record!

2.) 17 Mar 2018 19:42:31
How good was Salah though? 28 EPL goals so far and there is still 7 matches to go.

3.) 17 Mar 2018 19:43:08
Moreno at left back is looking like a thing of the past
Andrew is securing that position imo.

4.) 17 Mar 2018 19:47:29
Great performance from Salah and great result for us reds. Enjoy your weekend gentlemen (and ladies) .

5.) 17 Mar 2018 20:01:35
I never expected that. Salah was unplayable.

6.) 17 Mar 2018 19:59:04
It really was beautiful Ed001! And like you said, he got his head up before delivering! Just that one second of composure makes all the difference. If he carries on at this rate, he is going to be some player!

What, 8 mil from Hull? Cracking transfer!

I also agree with the rest of you guys, Salah is an absolute beast! he skins defenders for fun and its like time stands still sometimes with the ball at his feet!

7.) 17 Mar 2018 22:18:52
Our boy Robbo is learning and improving and if he keeps doing that, LB is sorted for the next 5 years easily.

28 Feb 2018 05:39:49
Morning Reds and Eds.

A quick question please.

Would the registration for Keita to LFC go through automatically on July 1st? (World Cup year? ) .

Also, is there anything else required for the club to do regarding his signature?

Sorry if these sound obvious/ silly, I'm just excited that he's on the way to us!

Bennett Jnr

{Ed002's Note - He needs a work permit and international clearnace. He will have no problem with either.}

1.) 28 Feb 2018 17:27:43
I can't wait either. Keita Hendo and aoc. What a midfield.

Thank you for letting us know the situation ED001, we appreciate it!

I was on these pages when the whole Clint Dempsey saga happened and it's beyond belief that the club can act in such a amateurish fashion! Or is it arrogance on the clubs part?

Considering how many times we have dealt with Southampton over the past few years makes this surprising as well as irritating to say the least!

Again, thanks for keeping us in the loop Ed.

Bennett Jnr

{Ed001's Note - it feels like arrogance to me, believing they can do what they want with no consequence.}

@MKS I had a feeling you would know 😉 as far as I last heard he was happy. In part due to certain pressures put on him and former teammates that go beyond the football pitch but also due to certain players almost being bullies in the way they would dictate to the rest of the team (particularly the younger players would get this treatment) . I cannot go into more detail unfortunately (not on a public forum anyways) .

The last time I saw said player he was back 'home' and we was in the barber shop. He actually paid for everyones haircut in the shop which was nice.

The only thing I have heard for certain at his current location is that the players are 'encouraged' to go with certain 'advisors' for the good of their careers. Again i cannot go into more details at this time unfortunately.

Oh my gosh Ed001! that's horrible but totally believable!

My Grandparents were immigrants to this country so they and my parents received similar treatment.

However, in my dads case he was very close with 3 gentlemen who took him in and tried to deflect trouble from him as he was very young and hardly knew any English having come from Ghana not many years before. Of these 3 kind men, 2 were Scouse one was Scottish.

They now identify as my Uncle Tony (literally as he married my Aunt), My Uncle Chris and My Uncle Charlie.

Theres so much more to Liverpool with my family than just LFC!

Ed001, my love and respect to you and your parents. you went through hell!

I'm sorry, I went off a bit too long there!

I love Scousers!

Bennett Jnr

{Ed001's Note - my parents never really knew about it mate. As a kid I was too immature not to attach some blame to them for moving down south. They just had to suffer my moods as a kid, poor buggers, while never knowing the reason why.}
