Anyone else noticed how Keita seems to be playing in the position/ role that Fekir would likely fill?

squared away in my mind that he's 100% not coming and Keita will be our attacking midfielder next season and rightfully so he's been immense, Shaqiri can be used as back up there also.

He would be a luxury buy and personally I don't think we need him, its easily the best Liverpool squad I've seen in my 26 years.

Naby has all the tools to play there! I personally wouldn't mind missing out on Fekir.

A midfield trio of Fab, Naby and Hendo seems very tasty.

Keita was always coming in to play the box to box role. He is the perfect Klopp CM. Don't think this is news, but am sure plenty of fans will be pleasantly surprised by him. Should be, he is amazing.

Yeah, i can very much see our starting midfield 3 consisting of Fabinho and Hendo playing deeper and Keita being handed the license to roam. I also really hope Curtis Jones gets some time in the attacking midfield role, Woodburn too if he doesn't go on loan.

also pleasantly surprised is an understatement mate, i knew he was mustard but Christ, im arousingly amazed.

I think this attacking midfield role needs to he let go of somewhat. I mean it's true we have a more attacking minded midfielder of the 3, but in principle we basically play 2 box to box CMs. This is why I think it's been difficult for woodburn to break through just yet. He needs phsyicality and athleticism to add to his game to be of service for us in the prem. This is why I've been saying keita is an upgrade on coutinho, as we were carrying coutinho in midfield for large patches before we sold him to Barca. Keita gives us everything we need in the midfield. I'm stoked we have him.

Spot on, OP and to the others. Watched Naby tonnes for RBL last season and he can play anywhere in CM. He is the typical Klopp CM, one who is dynamic and is lethal in both attacking and defensive phases. I see him playing the 10 role as well and if you couple that with Mane dropping deep in the 10 role from time to time during games like he did last season, then we have a more than tasty CM for next season.

Arousingly amazed 😂 i guess he hit your spot then.

I said when we confirmed the signing last yr that we would win the league with him driving our team forward.

I stick by that statement. Alisson of course is icing on the cake.
