Do you know if there is any chance of us getting the footbonaut, was talk of klopp wanting it when he first arrived, but haven't heard anything lately.

I had to go see the Octonauts stage show Dave! Not ashamed of it though, I forced my folks to watch countless episodes of Nickelodeon cartoons when I was a kid, circle of life!

I don't think we will replace all the players out on loan, just thinking that including them could be around 14 players leaving, with Us having a bloated squad, would imagine around 6-7 new players coming in, not all first tearners, some would be squad players.

I hate the idea of buying 'squad players'.
You should only ever buy players better than what you already have, its the only way to improve and keep the squad hungry.
If you just buy squad players who you know aren't first team quality, you just end up doing what rodgers did and bring in players like cissokho, aspas, alberto, borini, allen etc, players who are okay but ultimately just prove to be a waste of money because they never push for a spot in the first team and only get worse as they rot on the bench.

Agree with what you are saying but sometimes players are bought with this in mind and for whatever reason don't kick on.

Spot on, Anonymous. Squad players should come from your youth academy system if it is productive which ours is. You buy because you don't have someone better already in the squad.

that's where our squad players should come from redohio, we have already given kevin stewart a contract, that should save us from buying a dm, we have other talented players that could do us a job when called upon, in the clamour for the marquee signing let's remember what we already have, just waiting for a chance.

In reply to ed1's response to who he thinks will leave, you could also add, to the 7 he listed, balotelli, yesil, Sinclair, luis Alberto, possibly wisdom, illori, texeira, markovic, so you are looking at well over 12 players leaving this summer.

Bean78, all the players that u mentioned have already been replaced. Why would the club want to replace players who were out on loan? The squad is significantly bloated so 12-13 players leaving and 4-5 players arriving makes sense.

To be fair Indian buzzer, I can't see where bean78 has mentioned about replacing the players he listed. He's just mentioned that on top of ed001 predicted players leaving, he's added who else he thinks is leaving.

Watched the last 20 mins of the youth cup last night we beat forest 2-1, with herbie Kane scoring the first nd Adam Philips getting the winner, we are through to the quarter finals, thought woodburn and Toni Gomes both looked good.

Adam Phillips, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn are the standout players in our U18's side in my opinion. They are arguably the 3 best players in the academy this season. Although Harry Wilson and Pedro Chirivella have been excellent for the U21's. Canos, Fulton, Ward, Ojo, Kent, Rossiter, Stewart, Sinclair, Randall, Ibe, Teixeira, Flanagan, Smith and Brannagan all look ready to be squad players as well so the good work at the academy over the last decade looks like paying off for us! The odds are that only a select few will make it at Liverpool FC but even those who don't will be moved on for a reasonable fee and all those I've listed will have careers in professional football for sure.
