Another issue which I find baffling and is self inflicted, is a lot of our forward players like to operate in the left forward space of the pitch.
This is wirtz, Ekitike, gakpo and isak.
If you look at their heat maps while at Liverpool for our regular guys and the heat maps for our new signings from their previous clubs.
I have never got the logic in buying a player then asking him to make big changes to his game, sign a guy that fits what you need in the first place.

Why is Slot picking a team that continues to underperform? I really don't get it. Hugo absolutely shouldn't be on the bench. He offers something different, brings energy to the forward line. Mo needs to take a seat I think. Perhaps his poor play is the result of those around him, but he hasn't been performing to the standard you'd expect. Isak needed a preseason, he never got it. We are now 4 losses giving him one. He should be coming off the bench until he's ready to start. Gapko is driving me simple. He's such a talented player. Does he deserve to lose his spot? Maybe, maybe not. At times he's making you say absolutely not then others absolutely yes. Our midfield is a mess, why? We have the players to make it work, but somehow it just isn't working. Our defense is meh. That's being kind. The thing about Slot last season that was brilliant was he adjusted. He never seemed to have an issue about adjusting to suit the need at that moment. This season, he seems to have become a bit thick. He seems to be more rigid. Unwilling to change when it's obvious it needs to be done. 4 games losing. We are seriously looking at the league imploding before Christmas. Becoming a cup team. I understand the squad is still struggling with the loss of Diego. I understand we have had massive changes in personnel. Of course these things will cause issues BUT Slot seems unable to guide them through it. No I'm not calling him for him to be sent packing. Just stating the obvious, what has happened from last season to this season with his willingness to adapt? To make the changes, to allow for the new signings to melt into the squad. To cope will the loss of Diego. We went from being a squad full of leaders to a squad of hiders. Rant over. On to the next game. Perhaps we get a result. Perhaps I'm so annoyed over the stupid money spent to watch them lose 4 games in a row. Whatever it is, for the love of god let it end and we can get back to winning ways.

i just cannot believe why are we keep playing 4 5 players almost at the last line of enemy's defense every game.
slow build up, and expect CB's to provide the sparks?

Slot hasn't a clue he won last year with klops team, we have bought great players he is clueless in how to play them we are a laughing stock at min, sack him we won't win with his new tactics. Bring in zidane.

Zidane is an awful manager who just happened to have all the best players. Has zero tactical acumen and even less charm.

Had a feeling it wasn't going to be our day when Oliver didn't stop play for an obvious head injury.
Our tactics/ game plan has been found out again. Slow, ponderous play doesn't work in the Premier league and it'll be a slide to mid table obscurity if we persist with it.
Salah needs time on the bench. Has done next to nothing plus his lack of tracking back causes us problems.
It's crunch time for Slot now. If we play the same game plan next game, with the same outcome, really puts his managerial nous in question.
