Firmino will not be changing position. He is the focal point of our attack, and everything as to why our system works. Not to mention his 16 goals already this season.
He was given the number 9 shirt, and i know it's just a number, but it says a lot about the type of player the club see him as. He is going to be playing as a striker for us. Maybe alongside a partner, but he won't be dropping into midfield or onto the left wing.

Couts will be a big loss.
It is not easy to replace the creativity. The though passes, little dinks over the top. There is only a select few that is able to see a move ahead.
Reminds me of the time where Alonso left. We do not see his importance until he is gone. Hopefully we can do a better job getting a replacement in this time.

I think it depends on having the players to fit that formation. 3 disciplined centre backs and wing backs who can defend properly and will not get caught up field when they should be back.

If we were to sign another CB (VVD) then back 3 could be played at times however I don't think it will be a system frequently used by Klopp.

The issue with 3 CBs is you need great wing backs and that's not really our area of strength. We're strong upfront and through the midfield, I'd rather we just asked our fullbacks to be a bit more conservative and pick their times when to attack (TAA was a lot more conservative going forward this game to limit Robert/ Alabas threat, yet that didn't stop us scoring)

I don't think our CBs are strong enough to play three at the back nor do we have the depth to support such a formation. Klopp's tactics work by flooding the midfield so adding another CB would be detrimental to his game plan. All in all of new very surprised if Klopp tried it.
