Wishing everyone a very happy new year.

Just saw news of ryan kent being recalled from his loan spell. we do seem to have a number of exciting wingers (kent, canos, ojo, wilson and sorry if i miss out any) .

Is it possible to rank them in terms of who is most ready for first team football for liverpool?

And who have the highest ceiling in terms of potential?

Thank you.

I would say kent and canos look higher up the pecking order. Which is a surprise fir me considering i always thought it would be ojo and Wilson who will truly emerge. Wilson's loan was badly chosen and he needs a talk with the manager and a proper loan otherwise there is a possibility of him getting lost in the shuffle. Then there's Ojo who keeps displaying odd moments of brilliance at wigan but hasn't been able to solidify himself like canos. Still there's enough talent there to breal out.

Sorry that should have been. Wolves. near ojo.

{Ed001's Note - he was at Wigan last season.}

I have been watching these lads for years and all 4 you mentioned will have a career in the game. The one player who has developed the most in the stage from boy to man is Serge Canos. He will get better and better. Ojo has always been ahead of his age group and another player who will benefit from playing games against men. Harry Wilson isn't ready yet physically, and Ryan Kent will be given opportunities now he's been recalled, always liked this lads will to win and forward play. I can see 3 of the 4 being crowd pleasers in years to come.

Yeah i realized my mistake afterwards. Btw happy new year ed001 and all the other eds and posters.

{Ed001's Note - I know mate, I was just pointing out it was not that bad a mistake as he did spend time at Wigan. Happy new year Reet, I hope it is a good one for you.}

I would say ward has benefited from his loan and will come back a better player. Happy new year all.

Couts will be a big loss.

It is not easy to replace the creativity. The though passes, little dinks over the top. There is only a select few that is able to see a move ahead.

Reminds me of the time where Alonso left. We do not see his importance until he is gone. Hopefully we can do a better job getting a replacement in this time.

Didn't watch the game as it was 2.45 here in the morning but we really missed mane against burnley. There isn't a player in the team that has his skill set to take on and go pass players consistently. Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana are not players that can beat a man effortlessly. Mane adds a new dimension to our attack!

I believe city will struggle this season. Pep tactics will be exposed in this league. The weaker teams here are prepared to let you have 80% possession and could destroy you on the counter and are way better than the weaker teams in Germany or Spain.

United could be buying their way to the top. Yes they wasted a lot of money in the past years but Jose knows what he is doing. The hold back in previous years is due to Lvg.

Chelsea is going to be boring to watch this year. Lots of 1-0 I would suspect. They should be quite defensive to protect their slow back 4 unless they get someone else in.

Arsenal are well, Arsenal. They blew it last year although Leicester played really well.

Leicester and Tottenham should have decent seasons but I do not see them maintaining the consistency of last seasons.

Liverpool are going to give some teams a hiding this season. But there's some doubt over their mentality to grind out wins when the game is scrappy. If we can get some momentum going I'm not going to rule us out. The league is wide open.

Letting my heart rule my head a little here but I'm quietly confident and do think we have a real chance.

1. Liverpool
2. United
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal.

{Ed007's Note - One of the things I'm really looking forward to is Guardiola falling flat on his face and finally getting found out. It's harder to fail at Barca and Bayern Munich than be a success so we'll find out this season what he's made of.}
