Great update as usual.

I particularly like the fact that you've developed a catchphrase - 'And that's your lot'

True, Kloppsboss, but you have to be able to actually move those players on.

Ultimately, there's no point in having so many players that they can't all be registered and you definitely don't want someone on 100k a week nowhere near the bench.

I suspect a couple will go before the end of August and possibly a couple in January. We're still pretty well stocked in pretty much every position, though.

He's a good player, but I think he'll either end up at Barca, or Juve if he moves.

Chances are that he'll get a bumper new contract and more playing time at PSG, though.

I can't see him coming to LFC - we've got too many midfielders as it is. He does seem a little temperamental too, if the reports are to be believed.

Good luck to him, I like Ragnar.

It would seem that Klopp is putting more faith in Joe as a CB this season, which is good news.

Matip is back in training too.

I saw Doug Ellis at the players bar at Wimbledon once. He was a bigger man than he looked on TV.

That same day, I spoke to the late Ugo Ehiogu and - I have to say - he was a genuinely lovely guy. He'd missed the game after his eye injury. Spoke to him for a good 10 minutes and he seemed really happy to just chat with the fans.

RIP Doug (and Ugo)

I think everyone likes Klopp. Even Everton and Utd fans will begrudgingly admit some admiration for him.

He just doesn't seem to get rattled by anything. I was actually thinking the other day that it would have been great to see him against the likes of Sir Alex at Utd; you have to wonder whether Ferguson could have got under Klopps skin, like he did so successfully with other managers. In a strange way, I suspect they'd probably have had a pretty good relationship.

It's a shame, really.

I think he'll do well for Leicester, given enough time.

{Ed001's Note - he seems to be doing pretty well already to be fair.}

He definitely comes across well.

It's interesting that you mentioned Puels lack of charisma. I recently read an interview with Glenn Hoddle and Puel - obviously, they played together at Monaco - and he seems to be exactly as he appears in front of the press: quite dry and reserved.

However, it's obvious that he's insightful and knowledgable.

{Ed001's Note - the fact that Puel is quiet and French seems to be enough to turn the press against him.}

Great read again, ED001.

Is there anyone who doesn't like Hughton? ; doing a great job at Brighton and treated badly by Newcastle.

I absolutely agree about Puel too. I remember Gary Lineker being somewhat bemused by his appointment, but I imagine quite a few Leicester fans being the same when Ranieri was brought in.

{Ed001's Note - Hughton is genuinely one of the nicest guys in football. I have never heard anyone with a bad word to say about him.}
