Eds in your honest opinion do you think baring in mind recent serious injury and setback that Brewster is ready for a serious contribution in the first team this season or is it maybe a year too early for him? I hope we just don't put too much pressure and expectation on him
Thanks.

It_is_what_it_is

{Ed0333's Note - from what I’ve been told Brewster is going to be a revelation. He’s first team ready.

1.) 30 Jul 2019 23:01:05
Thanks Ed333 hope your right, be a shame to see another young English hope be thrown to the lions.

{Ed0333's Note - he seems like he’s chomping at the bit to be honest. Let him loose I say what’s the worst that can happen? He doesn’t make the grade well sometimes you have to give youth a chance instead of buying for the sake of it. Klopp has done supremely well with the young lads so far. Let’s trust his judgement.

Ed is that a comment at fans on this page or seriously what you have been told?

{Ed0333's Note - What I’ve been told.

3.) 31 Jul 2019 09:00:34
Can't wait to see him regular.

4.) 31 Jul 2019 10:29:37
I’m sure that lad that Everton have paid over £20million for us the same age so why not let him go!?

5.) 31 Jul 2019 11:18:08
I hope the lad does well. While he’s nowhere near as good a player yet, he reminds me a little of Aguero in terms of his style of play. He seems to have good movement and acceleration which gets him into dangerous positions, and he’s a natural finisher. Think he’ll be a good fit for Klopps system provided he can make the step up.

Good luck to the lad, can wait to see him get more game time as the season goes on.

6.) 31 Jul 2019 10:41:57
Any players he is similar to ed0333.

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t know mate I’ve only seen him play 20 minutes.

I'm really excited about Brewster. There's just something special about his combination of size, speed, and having a nose for the goal. It's not like the other flops that got fluffed up because they got in a game as a teenager, or scored a fluky goal. He seems legit, and he has the right group around him to bring along his development. I think he'll be a difference making rotational player by the spring.

8.) 01 Aug 2019 01:05:37
He certainly looks like he has promise. The big thing is wether his attitude can help or halt him., So far seems like a mature 19 year old and the fact klopp has big love for him would suggest he's on the right track, depends on how many opportunities he can get with us though. Klopp has 3 years left on his contract and it's currently hard to see beyond firmino not being in that role as first choice for klopps system.

I hope he can take his chances as they come and maybe show in the next year or 2 that he can be capable of competing for first 11.

We need to remember though that currently he's a teenager who's returning from a 12/ 15 month injury with no first team experience playing for a club with arguably one of the best forward lines around.

We need to be patient and back the lad, it's klopps clear admiration and belief in him though is what excites me.

Hi Ed's

Just wondered if you see bajcetic having what it takes to make it in the first team long term as we've seen plenty on promising youngsters never quite make the cut especially after suffering a long term injury but this lad looks to be a cut above from early performances.

It_is_what_it_is

{Ed001's Note - he looks to have what it takes.}

1.) 15 Jul 2023 23:00:25
Definitely has what it take for me he has already shown this last season before he got injured.

2.) 15 Jul 2023 23:03:13
I’ve got a lot of faith in ‘Badger’ this season

He’s going to be a top performer.

3.) 15 Jul 2023 23:03:19
Absolutely he does. Confidence Ali has to pass the ball to him in tight situations is enough to tell me he'll be great for us.

4.) 16 Jul 2023 02:14:55
We all liked his performance, though it was a short sample.

We will know if he has it at this level only if he gets more chances.

Hope it isn't like - since fabs was so bad last term that we all got carried away with a new face.

5.) 16 Jul 2023 07:54:30
Bajcetic is the real deal. If he can stay injury free and recovers ok from the one he just had. He has everything needed to be a top class midfield player.

6.) 16 Jul 2023 08:00:48
Do you think he’s really a 6 or more likely to play a more advanced role?

7.) 16 Jul 2023 08:35:03
He took fabs position for me pre injury last season. He needs to learn when to play it safe and when to do what he clearly loves to do first though. He got caught a few times and that will only increase if he gets another sustained period and regularly turns players in the middle of the pitch every time.
That said, a bit of know how and he's set. Who provides that mature advice now though?
For about 6 games he was hands down the best Liverpool player on the pitch during that really ordinary patch.

8.) 16 Jul 2023 08:35:11
Regarding Stefan Bajcetic, I certainly believe he can play a role in the team, but I also think it should be managed in away that it doesn't have a damaging effect on his future.

We need to go back to the midfield 3 being rotated, having 2 for each position, being backed up by players coming through the academy. SB time will come to be a starter, or even a back up, but in football terms he's still a baby.

Curtis and Harvey are certainly good enough to be our substitute RM/ LM, to compete with our starters Mac and Szob. We now need to bring in 2 DMs, one for now and maybe a Lavia type in experience, to challenge, share the DM position. Llorente as the experience from his days at Real Madrid to fill the position and he also could play in the RM role if injuries require it. Koopmeiners is also a shout, a player we have shown interest in, who could play the DM role and versatile enough for all the midfield slots.
Steffan Bajcetic, Bobby Clarke and James McConnell are the kids who may well step up, and certainly play early rounds of cup competitions.
It will be interesting to see our next move, but I will be surprised if he doesn't bring in a more experienced player to go along with a Lavia type player, for now and the future.

9.) 16 Jul 2023 09:01:26
He needs to learn when to play it safe and when to do what he clearly loves to do first though.

What a load of bollocks The boy oozes in class and confidence. He is the only player bar Thiago who can turn on with the ball and carry through a press. Anyone can play safe.

10.) 16 Jul 2023 10:11:46
Baj is a real talent and I rate him a lot. Is he ready now? No. Will he be ready? Only time will tell but I sincerely hope so cos he is that good, IMO.

11.) 16 Jul 2023 12:24:48
how are we really doing to know what is going to have a damaging impact on his future? We didn't head into last season with the intention of playing Baj so much. But injuries and his performances made it that way until he go injured.
