Afternoon Eds and fellow Liverpool supporters {YNWA}, EdS with all the rumours about Brendan rogers Liverpool future position, if he were to be relieved of duties, in your opinion when will tis take place?

Thanks

s.d.m.8.2

{Ed002's Note - I understand from Macca that Ancelotti has been talking with the club. I don't know the detail. I also can't predict who would take his place. Over the summer the club could have opted for change and settled everything for a while by taking Jorge Jesus for a couple of years - probably my choice. Now that option is not available. One needs to step back and be objective about change and not make it just for "the hell of it" or whatever - it is a big deal and initially disrupting. I see the craving for the "bootroom" approach as unfounded. I see the clamoring for Klopp as "without any sensible foundation". I see any change to simply appease the fans as potentially a "shot in the foot". I would have moved him on this past summer - as I have explained. Then there were options. Doing it now i way more risky; way less options exist.

Blitzed a little but there are a number of managers with growing or well respected reputations I can think of. Normally I would avoid naming names but given that for most of the rest of the day the posts will end up on the Other page, as a special treat I will. One real standout right now is Italian Roberto Stellone and another is German Roger Schmidt. In France, both Willy Sagnol and Olivier Echouafni have growing reputations. Although over the limit age wise, Philippe Montanier is gaining a lot of respect. Spain, the stand out attracting attention is Diego Simeone. In Russia there are people expecting Murat Yakin to move on. The Netherlands has the likes of De Boer and Phillip Cocu. Elsewhere Laudrup, Petrescu, Hutter and Martinez are well thought of.

My advice is listen to those who have a rational opinion - not the knee jerk reaction folk. There are Liverpool supporting Eds trying to buy sniper rifles on eBay. It won't work. It needs managing, and it needs managing well, I have told Ed001 that he needs to listen to someone older and much better looking - and have offered my services.}

Lol got a genuine laugh at the last part. Ed001 your rebuttal?

{Ed001's Note - how can I rebut the truth? Ed002 is much much older than myself.}

2.) 23 Sep 2015 23:12:27
i love when 002 is in a good mood =]

3.) 24 Sep 2015 02:49:16
How about Favre? I hear he gets a good wrap for what he's done with Monchengladbach. Currently unemployed after quitting.

4.) 24 Sep 2015 01:13:25
Love the sniper rifles comment, Ed!

5.) 23 Sep 2015 23:29:41
Thanks ed 2 really interesting overview I had not heard about the Jorge Jesus approach.

6.) 23 Sep 2015 23:56:24
So from all the descriptions i have gathered so far, the mysterious entity of ed002 is an american born english loving female chelsea supporter who travels an awful lot doing a rather secretive job linked to football and has an age of about 60?

And also ed002, isn't jorge jesus a bit crazy? Always heard about controversial issues with him when he was at benfica, it'd be moving from an incompetent tool to a spanish speaking jack nicholson.

7.) 24 Sep 2015 00:26:17
Me too, thanks for your thoughts ed2.

8.) 24 Sep 2015 02:35:00
Spot on, Ed! I will say that many fans have been patient with the owners only to find out that they were going to keep him when as you said, they should have cut bait and gotten someone in with a clean slate and new ideas. They chose to replace his assistants who have either brought nothing new or are being ignored. Mind blowing! As much as I like Ancelloti, he may want to wait till the summer. If he does and BR keeps screwing up, where does that leave us? There are not enuff options mid season hence, they should have fired him when they had the chance. As for Sagmol, he may b available in the summer because he is unwilling to sign a new contract. Just FYI.

9.) 24 Sep 2015 05:47:24
Thanks for the reply Ed002. Objective is exactly what I would call you reply, man. To me, it looks like the players are not responding to Rodgers and they seem to lack ideas, and if that is the case, in his 4th season in charge, he needs to be let go of and a new direction found.

Morning all,

Eds you used to have a link to macca's post but since the new site layout I can no longer find it, is it still available?

Also the roumors are starting and its frustrating so do you have any updates on Rodgers job situation?

Thanks

s.d.m.8.2

{Ed001's Note - the separate page went a long time ago, as he no longer posts enough to generate the thousands of questions asking what he said. His post is on the rumours page.

He is severely under pressure, but nothing has happened yet. When it does happen, I expect it to be swift though, with little real warning, as it is one man making the decision. It will just be when he decides enough is enough it will happen.}

1.) 22 Sep 2015 07:45:29
Will we likely have someone in mind to replace him Ed or will we only start looking once he has been ousted?

{Ed001's Note - there have been names floated around for a while mate, this is not a manager who is going early, so the club have had plenty of time to look over its options.}

2.) 22 Sep 2015 10:11:30
Cheers mate

I guess Macca has got eveyone excited with his post so were all clutching at straws guessing what's happening and who it could be.

Good morning Eds

My first time post but been looking at your website for years,

Is their any serious rumblings behind the scenes about Brendan Rogers job security or potential replacements ?

s.d.m.8.2

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 13 Sep 2015 09:17:37
I believe Rodgers will be there until the end of the season whether people like it or not, so we need to get behind and support the manager and club.

2.) 13 Sep 2015 09:37:07
I've supported him all last season and hoped with the introduction of a new backroom staff that things would improve but it's still the same no change, playing Danny ings and firmino as wingbacks and persisting with skertle and lovern is enough for me, my patience has gone, which Rodgers needs to be aswell

3.) 13 Sep 2015 11:23:44
Mighty reds I think you get our loyalty as fans wrong. We are not BR's supporters we are LFC supporters. If we think BR is bad for the team, it is not only our right to protest it is our duty.

I always bring United as an example, they sacked Ron Atkinson and brought Alex Ferguson mid season and they did the same with Moyce (after less than one season) and bring LVG. Two decisions that most people agree were very good for the club and were very much in line with United's fan protest.

Yes there is no guarantee a new manager will bring us trophies but it is guaranteed the current manager will not - what is there to lose?

{Ed002's Note - So the owners, Rodgers and Firmino out. Who is it you support? Andre Villas-Boas is effectively available.}

4.) 13 Sep 2015 13:41:42
Klopp or Ancelotti. FSG have been very good to us. Rodgers needs to go. Firmino will come good once played in a position he naturally plays.
