Am I the only one gutted we didn't even try to sign aubameyang he's a quality striker I think we really need an out and out striker I know we score plenty of goals anyway but witb Keita coming in the summer hopefully a top quality keeper as well with aubameyang up front I think we could have been seriously challenging for the title next season gutted we've not signed him.

I think last few seasons we have needed an out and out goalscorer but this season Firmino has added them to his game. People said Firmino was not an out and out goal scorer which was actually true. I believe he has scored more goals this season than any of his other seasons with us combined. That proves he has stepped up to the plate and we no longer require that striker.

Our existing front three have 54 goals between them this season. We do not need to add another player with a questionable attitude for £40m. Squad depth is important, but you don't buy Aubameyang as squad depth. You buy him to play nearly every game and be the main man. Or else he'll sulk. And he won't be that here.
And please don't say "but Firmino could move to the #10 role! ", because if you do, you're demonstrating that you neither pay attention to our formation, or what Firmino does on the pitch.

I'm not slating firmino read the post I think him and salah are our best 2 players by a country mile but if anyone of them gets injured where's the goals coming from and secondly most of the top teams have 2 or 3 strikers who've we got as back up ings and solanke REALLY?
point is we don't have a plan b when teams park the bus against us a top class striker is a plan b.

OP, who do you think signed Auba at BVB? Klopp. Who do you think knows Auba more than any of us here? Klopp. Whpo do you think converted Auba to CF? Klopp. If Klopp is not signing him then don't you think Klopp knows a lot more about him than you nor I? Yeah, I'm not disappointed. I'm happy Arsenal panicked and bought him which relegates Lacazette to the bench. If you are that disappointed then you can always watch him at Arsenal.

Yeah I'll sit there and watch him banging in the goals for them instead of us I'm sure klopp does know more about him than me or you but he's a top striker and would of improved us and gave us more attacking options if your happy for the club to stand still and not improve that's your problem not mine.

Am I the only one thinking the timing of Rodgers sacking is very poor the way Chelsea are playing at the moment can't see mourinho lasting the season I think we should of waited till they sack him and then make our move i think I he got the sack he would relish the chance to win the league with another prem club although I think klopp will be a great manager for us

Not really. Mourinho has had a star studded squad and big money wherever he has gone, except for Porto. To be fair, even most of his Porto squad went on to bigger and better things.
We've never seen Mourinho take on a real underdog team. Porto are always top in Portugal, Inter Milan at the time were always winning, Real Madrid needs no explanation and Chelsea, well they have a Russian Oligarch so again, no explanation needed.
I personally think Mourinho would struggle at a financially smaller club.

Its more a sign of the times that you'd want a moaning, whining media whore who falls out with players wherever he goes and uses tactics so underhand to win the game sometimes it borders on disgusting, eg getting players to bully the refs, and he'll slag off just about anyone when it suits him. And don't expect him to take responsibility when it goes balls up.
I think its more a sign of the times you would even want someone like that at liverpool.
