Do you think Solanke will get many opportunities next season. I really hope he does but where does he sit in line with Firmino, Sturbridge, Origi and Ings!

I think a loan is best option to aid his development further. I don't think he would get many games if he stays and doesn't go on loan. We also still have Ings who desperately neeeds games.

Huddersfield would have been an ideal loan for him, but I expect them to loan Ward. Abbé someone like Brighton or Bournemouth would be a good shout or even Newcastle?

If were just going to send him on loan, why did he not just stay at Chelsea?

After watching the tournament during the mornings, I'd put him on the bench, fit Sturridge is our best striker. Solanke looked better then either Origi and Ings, but it was a U20 tournament. Mind you, without the pace, he could be a Rashford. As in a young striker who tore up the prem with goals and no fear. If you're good enough you're old enough.

I would be very suprised if he was loaned out, Sturridge will no doubt spend the majority of the season injured (if he doesn't leave), Origi hasn't cemented a place, God knows how Ings will do, I think he will be fighting with those 3 for 2 bench spots with firmino starting.
He could well see himself in the match day squad regularally and maybe start in cup games, I could be wrong but I think he will be in Klopps plans and probably one of the reasons he has joined us.

Why n earth would he leave Chelsea for us, only to go on loan? He could've got a loan to a bang average team from them.

If he has been tempted away from Stamford Bridge by anything, it is the opportunity to get first team football at a big club.

Sturridge in my opinion is going nowhere. Ings likewise but more because he wouldn't have any interest. He will be in the U23's for most of next season regaining form and fitness. Origi for me is in the most danger. Solanke is here to play and Origi is the weakest of our strikers by some distance. I like him but he just hasn't improved enough. Rumours of interest from Europe as well and I think if a good offer comes in, the club will take it.

Forget about Ings and origi neither of them are Liverpool standard. Sturridge and solanke will be our strikers so expect another to arrive and we should be sound up front once Ings and origi are sold.

Very impressed with Solanke today. he showed off all the aspects of his game but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Firmino and Mane and then Sturridge and Origi before Solanke provided there are no more reinforcements. That said, I can see Solanke becoming a first team player for us by the end of this season and long term he could end up being one of the best purchases we have ever made.

Best signing ever? Didn't you just tell us not to get ahead of ourselves Amerigo? ;)

Do not forget at his age Origi was showing well for Belgium in the real World cup. There is no telling how much or how little a young player will improve.

I have a feeling that with Solanke, we may not need to buy another striker. He's a really good talent, and when Sturridge is not fit, just give Solanke a go! He could very well be another Rashford.

{Ed025's Note - good prospect but not ready yet imo robin..

Don't write off Danny Ings.

Sturridge and Firmino are clearly a cut above IMO. Origi has all the tools but still needs to mature. Same for Solanke, and while a little bit behind in terms of experience, might quickly catch up if Origi doesn't watch out. Neither are the finished article yet though.

I love Ings but reality is it's hard to know how quickly he can recover - two years out is a very long time for a professional footballer, and while he can be very effective I suspect was never going to be truly top drawer in the mold of a Costa, Sanchez, Lukaku or Kane, and the injuries make that even more likely now.

Agree ed, posted as much this morning but poor signal meant it didn't get to you. Origi will be way ahead of him in the pecking order tbf. Ed, is it true chelsea reported us for tapping him up or the rag shut stirring again?

{Ed025's Note - its been mooted IAC but nothing confirmed yet mate, if they have then they are cheeky bar stewards as they are the kings at that lark..
