Hi Eds, just wondering is it likely that we send Origi on loan as it appears ings is next choice behind benteke. pity really because he showed some promise in pre season

{Ed001's Note - it is under consideration yes.}

13 Jun 2015 11:24:56
Hey Eds, just wondering have Liverpool showed any interest in Hernandes as it looks like van gaal doesn't rate him and could be a cheap yet reliable signing

{Ed001's Note - no.}

22 Mar 2015 10:29:46
Hi Eds, fellow Reds, just wondering has Balotelli burned all bridges with Rodgers as he looks like he has been dropped altogether, I thought he was doing ok up til that penalty incident, he doesn't help himself with some of his posts on ig and twitter tbh

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool will look to sell Balotelli in the summer but they need to reduce the price they are asking by some way. A number of clubs were approached in January but none were interested in a permanent deal at the price being asked. I suspect his representatives will focus on a return to Italy although have said how happy he is at Liverpool. Last year a sponsor tried to place him with another side once Milan were pissed at him and wanted him out - but that would no longer be an option. An alternative may be a Turkish side. We'll see what happens.}

1.) 23 Mar 2015 06:26:11
Balotelli yesterday was a total disgrace, and maybe he's worst minutes in the liverpool colors. He was almost worse then our Captain Fantastic.

02 Mar 2015 15:31:19
Was strange to see so many attacking subs on the bench yesterday, eds do ye have any ideas who might be leaving in the summer along with gerrard, surely with origi to come in borinis lpool days must be numbered andwe won't get near the 14m we were offered last year

{Ed002's Note - Johnson, some younger fringe players, they will sell Balotelli if they can but need to reduce the asking price, loan players like Aspas and Alberto.}

I thought emre can done a good job the other night against city, so I hope he keeps his place alongside hendo and winaldum in future games. Just puzzled who is coutihno going to replace out of our front 3 who have been great along with origi.

1.) 01 Jan 2017 22:48:30
This is a good problem to have. players not making the first team are taking their chances when called upon. this keeps every1 on their toes for spots and good form a must. my opinion is that while fit Lallana must stay in that midfield 3. obviously that includes Henderson in the deeper position. Wijnaldum has made it pretty hard to drop after scoring the winner against city lol. Coutinho/ Firmino/ Mane infront of Wijnaldum/ Lallana/ Henderson is what i think klopp will pick when fit. what i would really like to see (mainly against teams that are going to park the bus) is Firmino/ Sturridge/ Mane infront of Coutinho/ Lallana/ Henderson.

2.) 01 Jan 2017 23:35:04
He's going to replace Mané while he's away, and we'll figure it out when Mané returns (hopefully fit and healthy) .

3.) 02 Jan 2017 06:31:16
Can struggled and was poor imo. Not sure which game where you watching. He is lazy and doesn't track back enough. We were utterly exposed once Hendo left. The only period of time when City had us on the ropes.

{Ed001's Note - tracked back well enough a few times to get back and make tackles when we needed him. He is far from lazy, he just has a tendency to sell himself on the halfway line when he should be just holding up the opposing player. Experience will teach him not to throw himself in, hopefully, in time.}

4.) 02 Jan 2017 06:58:50
He doesn't have the discipline and composure to play the holding role. It needs a lot of patience and good vision to read the game infront of you. To cut of the passing and anticipate it. He better learn it fast or he could be replaced. We shall see how Stewart plays today.

{Ed001's Note - it takes a while to learn patience and develop good vision. It is usually a product of experience and maturity. Can is still young, as is Stewart, and both make mistakes, the key is if they learn from them.}

5.) 02 Jan 2017 08:15:46
Another issue with Can is he keeps the ball too long and doesn't release it quick enough which is why we pass backward and sideways to recycle the possession. People need to get over from the fact big strong powerful lad would easily become a top notch CM.

6.) 02 Jan 2017 09:27:23
Can and lazy should never be seen in the same sentence.

19 Nov 2016 19:23:33
Evening Eds, pity to draw today but a draw away to Southampton is not all that bad as they will take points off the big teams there. Anyway, just wondering have you any info on how close grujic is to making the first team, I know he was a sub today and I thought he should have replaced wijnaldum as his height would cause problems from set pieces.

{Ed001's Note - well he was a couple of inches away on the bench today.....}

1.) 19 Nov 2016 20:46:05
It's just a matter of time for the lad I think, I believe we'll be seeing more of him soon, will be interesting I think he can do well.

2.) 19 Nov 2016 22:00:22
I believe he isn't going to play much this season and with club monitoring midfielders makes it even harder for him and possibly Emre Can.
ED02 got it bang on with his assessment. There must be a reason club is watching Herrera.

3.) 19 Nov 2016 22:24:30
He'd better play him a decent bunch or he will have work permit issues for next season. I do think he's a talent and has shown flashes of abi, it's and skill in preseason and in the EFL game vs Spurs. The header vs Barcelona was just brilliant. Per the Hector Herrera links, I'd take those wi a pinch of salt.

16 Sep 2016 22:01:30
I have critisised Henderson and lallana in the past, but tonight I thought they were both immense. Great result and now all of a sudden our start looks very very good. Also great to see ejaria on the bench he's a real talent.

1.) 16 Sep 2016 22:30:34
I have done as well, both were awesome tonight.

27 Aug 2016 14:26:08
Right everyone, a point today at spurs, not the worse result but I can't help but feel that we deserved 3 and spurs will be happier with that result. I don't know what dirt lallana has on klopp but he has to be replaced perhaps by ojo or grujic.

{Ed091's Note - I feel it's more that GW needs to drop out. Lallana was okay today.

1.) 27 Aug 2016 14:39:47
wijnaldum looks a poor buy a present, does very little, Lallana is ok but doesn't do enough and he looks worse when played with the dutch fella.
Must be a better paring surely, also subs not brought into game quick enough, 60 mins is the time in these type of games.

2.) 27 Aug 2016 14:41:02
Lallanas fault for gaol ed, there both a liability in the middle and Klopp is an idiot for not changing it.

{Ed001's Note - it was Milner's fault initially, he went forward when he should have dropped off and then was too far away to challenge Dier and stop the cross. The second error was Clyne's, his usual weakness of being too far over on the cover, when he should have held outside the post and been in position to put a challenge on Rose or attempt to block the shot. Lallana was woeful, again, but he was not at fault for that.}

3.) 27 Aug 2016 14:43:18
we should of had the 3 points tho, spuds were for the taking today.

4.) 27 Aug 2016 14:49:15
Still believe that the off-side goal should have stood , he was level with defender, linesman got it wrong, and if couts was more clinical, we would be going home with 3 points .

5.) 27 Aug 2016 14:52:52
Clyne had to track lamelas run because lallana didn't, leaving rose free. Guess we all see it differently.

What I care more about is the fact Klopp keeps playing Gw and lallana. I'm sick of it already 3 games in.

{Ed001's Note - Lallana was the man there challenging, Clyne should have passed him over and held out wider. Poor decision making by the fullback.}

6.) 27 Aug 2016 14:37:08
Ed91, Lallanas offside was just lazy and probably cost us the win as 2-0 would have seen us win I think.

Needs replacing for next game I think.

{Ed091's Note - I don't think lallana being offside cost us a 2 nil win. That's a bit stupid.

7.) 28 Aug 2016 01:04:26
Lazy? He sprinted from our box to the edge of theirs and was a toe offside. Hardly laziness.

21 Jul 2016 15:11:03
Ideal business before the window shuts, thoughts everyone:
Lallana, allen, markovic, chirivella, mignolet, moreno, illori, wisdom, benteke, balotelli, ings

In: hector, manninger, volland.

1.) 21 Jul 2016 15:25:03
Chirevella and Ings? Why? Just, why?

2.) 21 Jul 2016 15:27:51
Volland has moved.

3.) 21 Jul 2016 15:28:14
For alphabetical reasons. The OP didn't have any other Cs or Is on his list. Before one of you says 'Ilori', I believe the OP, as with most other people his age, confused the 'I' for an 'L'.

4.) 21 Jul 2016 15:30:12
I disagree about some of your "outs" but i'm guessing you have forgot about Luis Alberto?

5.) 21 Jul 2016 15:34:29
Volland has signed for leverkusen. Why would you get rid of ings? The only person you said that makes sense is hector.

6.) 21 Jul 2016 15:43:38
Volland already transfered this summer so forget that one.
We're not gona sell mingolet and have manninger as no.2
Moreno isn't going anywhere. he's the only first team left back we have.
Ings isn't being sold either.
Nonsense post.

7.) 21 Jul 2016 15:44:11
Im with Tristan,

Ings out - no way, i think he will be immense this season if he stays fit

Chirevella - the lads quality, why sell him now for buttons when he will be worth a lot more in the seasons to come if given the chance.

8.) 21 Jul 2016 16:36:23
Even selling Mignolet would be a bad idea, he will be a good back up to Karius, and having a senior Goalkeeper would be a benefit to the young German.

9.) 21 Jul 2016 17:49:31
Clyne, Randall, Ilori, Wisdom, Moreno, Smith, Markovic, alberto, Balotelli, Benteke, Allen, Lallana out.

Chilwell in.

Happy days.

10.) 21 Jul 2016 18:26:33
Hendosthemas, nonsense.

11.) 21 Jul 2016 18:26:33
Hendosthemas, nonsense.

12.) 22 Jul 2016 10:35:20
Let's here your opinion then Kman.

Exactly the point I'm making wembley, too many players on big money with average quality, no point in them playing great against big teams then not showing up against so called small teams.

In all honesty coutihno is a decent player but far far from world class, he isn't in the same category as Suarez messi or Ronaldo, they are what world class should mean. Its his attitude that he is too good for Liverpool that annoys me, Liverpool is a huge team with a fantastic history and he should be giving his all every time he plays.

Agree about coutihno we should take 50m if offered he is not as good as people think
Karius should be given a chance as he never got time
Clyne should be sold and give TAA a chance the lad is class
A good center back with pace to go alongside matip
Left back is a major priorty
A DM in the mould of mascherano to play alongside henderson (haven't heard much on grujic lately after a promising preseason)
Up front its obvious we need a better striker, studge origi and ings could all be sold
Don't mean to be negative but the only ones I would keep from the first team squad is hendo, firmino and mane.

Not to make comparisons but if Suarez went for 60m then coutihno is worth around 20m

Why would coutihno go to barca, he will never oust the likes of Suarez, neymar or messi. so its likely most of his time will be on the bench.

Everyone here forgetting about Seamus Coleman, he is quality and would improve Liverpool no doubt, no chance of getting him from Everton tho think he will end up in Manchester.

Mane is definitely a more valuable player to us than coutihno.

Personally I would drop coutihno we play better without him, original had a great run in his absence and there's none of this " I'm too good for this club" ego as he wastes chance after chance and doesn't look interested.

I think taa should be starting ahead of clyne, he is quicker, younger and much better ball control and delivery

Agree with navjot, we need some leaders which we don't have enough of. Henderson is too hit and miss to be a top player and emre has let me down I had great hope for him but he seems useless lately
