Question for Ed001,
Do you think Carra was playing a script or was it just coincidence and he spoke the minds of the management team seeing how much time and effort has been spent on the Lavia purchase to no avail? And what are your thoughts on Lavia vs Caicedo as a specialist DM vs their respective prices . do you side with Carra's opinion.

Well that was fun while it lasted. Have to admit as a player, he was the dream signing. But if we go out and get both Lavia and Florentino I would be happy.

Why would Brighton set midnight last for bids then we win with the highest bid then the following day Caicedo says am only going to Chelsea. Surly Brighton have spoken to Caicedo and his agent and told them that they will accept the highest bid. If he only wanted Chelsea then all this last night was pointless! Apart from making us look stupid.

Lavia has a superior attitude.

It was silly money for the player.

It looks like we won't be getting him Ed1. Choosing Chelsea over us. Now we probably need to go back for Lavia with Southampton knowing we got a lot of money to give them. Feel poor for Lavia though, might feel he is only a backup option. You think Lavia can be better than Caicedo in few years time Ed?

@Mcgoveb From what I have heard, Caceido was happy to join LFC and his reps told LFC as much. But he has changed his mind. If I was offered 2 jobs, I would go with which one felt right.

Can you really imagine LFC not checking if a player actually wants to join them before putting a bid in.

Xpertoyin this is just my opinion. I think Carra is there to provide propaganda to whatever club, player or manager his employers want to either build up or take down. Now, he is wearing his anti LFC hat now cos it is easier accepted that a former Liverpool player bash his club rather than a former player from a rival club like Neville or whoever else cos it is more believable to the public in general and many in the fam base.

So Carra slammed LFC as being an embarrassment on the Lavia saga which is false cos Chelsea bid fir him and did not even bid the 50m Saints wanted, just like we did but when we do it, it’s embarrassing. Now when the agreement for Caicedo was announced? Did Carra or Neville apologise for defamatory comments on LFC and FSG? Of course not.

He offered a bizarre retort and said we were desperate hence, we overpaid for a player he said we should have gone for initially. So in the end, he is always right and the club is always wrong, even when they do what he says. Hence due to the above, I do not take anything this bro. and his grade A hypocrite Neville seriously at all cos when they are wrong, they’ll either double down or swerve the topic with some other rubbish retort. Just my take.

Why would Liv bid a record transfer fee for a player that doesn't want to join them. A figure that Liv has never ever spent on a single player. Surely the club has asked the agent whether he is open in joining them or not. Baffling really.
