He will be sorely missed his last minute goals have been a thing of beauty.

Not going to lie Oli, I teared up when I saw Bobby score the equaliser just now. It's a shame we couldn't win the game but it felt fitting that he scored in what will be his last home game with us.

Thank you Bobby, going to miss your skills oh and those dazzling teeth when you smile.

Refreshing to see a player actually love what he does, he always seemed to enjoy every single moment. Gave us some fantastic moments and was the glue in the best liverpool front three I'm likely to witness.

I hope he gets a decent move in a slower league as I think he will tear it up. And at some point he will return either as a legend or an opposition player and he will be rightly celebrated.

Glad he got the send off he deserved and now time to find our next legend.

Maybe the £180k a week helped, especially when sat on the bench. I get it most supporters love Bobby but apart from one good season he was very much a support act. Decent player and on his day made us look better but his average performances outweighed the good. Not in the top 10 most valuable players under the Klopp era. Let’s go.

“Not in the top 10 most valuable players under the Klopp era. ”

I don’t have the words in my vocabulary to describe what complete nonsense that is.

7.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 20:20:24
Bar the last 2 seasons where he still made over 20 PL appearances he has made over 30 appearances in every other season.
He was not a support act of any sort, that’s just a nonsense statement. I would also hazard a guess that klopp rated him higher, you know the guy that continuously pick him?.

8.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 20:24:47
Funny that because Klopp says totally different.
But hey, what does Klopp know?

9.) 20 May 2023

Ok 10th then Wassa is that better?

10.) 20 May 2023

Absolute class bloke and tremendous servant but in all honesty he should of gone 2 years ago. the wages he was on could of gone to someone else.

11.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 21:11:51
Markp08 wtf are you smoking in England…. Bobby not in Klopp top 10 - I think Klopp would plant you if you said that to him….

12.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 21:30:33
Well since you’ve started that one Mark I’d be interested to see the list.

13.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 21:34:37
Mark- i think Bobby has been unbelievable in the klopp
Eta - as have a number of others. I think mane, salah, vvd, Ali, hendo, Bobby. Who else are you putting ahead of him? Fabs, robbo, Trent, gini, Milner? I don’t think so. Bobby is a liverpool legend plain and simple.

{Ed025's Note - its just marks opinion JB and he is entitled to that, mine is that he was a good player for the first couple of seasons then regressed a bit, never in the legendary category for me...but as i say people see different things mate..

14.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 21:43:31
I think the first few we all agree on
No particular order but ahead of Bobby.

Allison
Salah
VVD
Mane because he as much as any other player played a massive part in the League title and CL wins.
Hendo see above.
Trent
I think these 5 are undisputed.

{Ed025's Note - mark...stop digging.. :)

15.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 21:49:03
I’m with you mark. Great player when on song but other than a couple of good seasons has been basically non existent for the last 3/ 4 years imo. Love him as a person and his work ethic on the pitch but I don’t ever think he was as key to our success as others.

16.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 22:28:21
I can't believe what I'm reading from Markpo8 and joshkel91. A support act? Non existent? Not key to our success? Flabbergasted by those comments. I was about to just write shut up to be honest. By ed25 is right everyone is entitled to an opinion. Its a shame theirs are so stupid, particularly on the day he came on and scored and said goodbye to anfield.
He started the press, he won the ball high so we could start attacks in the oppo half, he assisted loads of goals for mane and aalah, and scored plenty of goals himself. He created all the space for them to run into by dragging defenders out to track him. He was Absolutely central to the way we played when we were at our best.

17.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 22:38:38
Am not digging mate, it’s a long held opinion. I don’t give Bobby any credit for the CL. The year we won the Pl, Mane and Salah were miles more important.

Of course Robbo is ahead of Bobby in terms of importance as is Fabs. We are down to 2!

{Ed025's Note - im only pulling your leg mark, i think the guy is talented but a bit of a luxury player myself mate..

18.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 22:58:49
I know mate. The fan base go way OTT when it comes to Bobby. Posters were trying to say he would get in some of our best ever teams it’s ridiculous.

I would love to know what his involvement was in the CL and PL wins. We win those without him.

19.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 23:05:36
We get to see Bobby in an LFC shirt again in a weeks time mind.

20.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 23:33:39
Fair play he has a good song.

21.) 20 May 2023
20 May 2023 23:51:53
When you watch Bobby love, you get to see how good he was for us, he was the glue for the front three.

{Ed002's Note - You have clearly had a very specially opportunity afforded to you Drogie. Did he do it Drogie style?}

22.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 00:18:18
Salah and Mane were great players with or without Bobby. I saw him live plenty and without Mane and Salah he wasn’t anywhere near special.

23.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 03:32:38
I agree with that to a degree Ed025, that Firmino is a bit of a luxury player, but to his credit he is damn hard working and he really knitted together that formidable attack we had. Great teams sometimes need those “luxury” players to give them a lift, or provide a bit of quality at a crucial time, and I think Bobby did that. With the new, crappy tactical approach we’ve adopted Bobby cannot really do enough to make a case for his inclusion, so in that sense he’s leave by at the right time, but he’s been a huge part of our success and let’s face it, unless you’re Man City, you cannot have a team full of world class players, Salah and Mane needed a foil like Bobby to perform at the level they did and Bobby was excellent at doing that.

{Ed025's Note - i think thats a fair assessment seano, maybe the game has moved on and im stuck in the past, he seems like a really nice guy and i wish him all the best mate, him and milly will be sorely missed as they were top professionals..

24.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 07:42:11
Firmino literally played in every PL game the season Liverpool won. What a ridiculous statement to ask what his involvement was that season.

He also played 7 games and scored 5 goals in the CL winning season.

25.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 07:55:06
I have no idea how a thread started by saluting Bobbie’s departure degenerated into a Bobbie bashing. None whatsoever.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone is bashing him oli, the thread is about his level of contribution and how posters view his time at the club, some fair points on both sides i think, it does not have to be a unbridled tribute mate..

26.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 08:29:58
I can understand that wassa mate.

27.) 21 May 2023
21 May 2023 11:51:18
Ed25, that’s not what I meant. One can say he should have been sold earlier while his immense contribution cos they are undeniable.

The problem I have with certain comments is the outright bashing and demeaning of his achievements without actually recognising how much an impact he had and despite what all his team mates and Klopp have said through out his time here. It’s like he was here stealing a living the whole time like Naby was. That’s what I find pathetic.

Also to call a player a luxury whereas he has played and started the most games since Klopp arrived is something I find quite cringe and illogical too. Again, multiple things can be correct at the same time. Football is not that binary. Life isn’t either.

{Ed025's Note - luxury player is not a derogatory term oli, to me its a flair player who can change a game with one peice of high skill as the likes of Le Tissier used to do, and are not reliant on work rate or challenges, i know you will tell me bobby worked his socks off but for me at times he did not effect the game enough, in a team playing well that is fine mate but when you are under the cosh not so good, as i say its all about opinions and its fine if people dont agree on things..

28.) 21 May 2023

He is either 3rd or 4th for me, in terms of the Klopp era. People have short term memories and recent performances have clearly overshadowed what he did for the team from the beginning. He was very much the glue that held Salah and Mane together (compare how he dragged CB's out to enable Salah and Mane to come in to the box and score with how often Salah, Nunez, Gakpo and others are bumping into each other in the penalty box now) . And very influential in how the midfield set up and how we went about our front press. The ultimate team player too; i can't rememer how many times he turned a goal scoring chance into an assist because that's how he played the game.
