There are no arguments or original insights in this article, so it is not worth posting at all. It wouldn't even be good for a comment here. I'm sorry, but reading it is simply a waste of time.

Read the first line or two and recognised it to be an extended bout of bleating.

Cheers for your time and efforts in writing that article Alonso.

At least you had a go at solving our current problems, Alonso.
God bless you, lad.

Alonso, I get the negativity. It’s been a hard watch this year but I don’t think this is the end of the road for life under Klopp. Just another hurdle to overcome similar to a couple of seasons back.

I don’t feel our defence needs major surgery, it just needs a hard working midfield to help and cover any spaces left for when our FB’s bomb on. Although I would be tempted to sell VVD IF the young CB everyone is raving about was guaranteed ( (won’t try and spell his name! )

As for TAA, he is one of the best attacking FBs in the world, but by doing that he leaves space. This season, the team and the structure are leaving him hugely exposed. This then makes him look like a weak link. Don’t get me wrong he doesn’t always help himself, but I don’t think it’s all on him either. Get the system right and he will become a huge asset.

Midfield needs work, we all know that and I think most of us knew that last year. I was one that said we didn’t need a midfielder last year but that was down to numbers (9 or 10) I think rather then not needing the extra quality. In hindsight we should of just taken what we could for Keita but we are where we are.

Up front, again, I don’t think it’s a 100 miles off. Nunez is simply chaos, and I think Diaz and Gakpo will make a huge difference next year. Add Doak and Elliott, Bobby and Jota and I think that’s a good set of options. I didn’t include Salah as I think he will leave and generate some wage and funding for transfers.

JJLT and Flash, to dismiss it as ‘Bleating’ and a ‘waste of time’ is it a bit OTT in my opinion. We all have different opinions but to simply dismiss it because you don’t agree seems unfair.

I think that was a better summary, WY.
Well done, lad.

I don't like being negative for negativity sake. Like, what exactly are you going to do about it right now? Klopp can't change players now and he can't exactly portray that in the media even if he is making a meal of it.

I like his most recent press outings in which he is trying to change the mentality of the players and fans again. He said the players looked like they lost vs Palace, and that is something he has to change. Because they will never get out of their situation if they keep looking at things in that negative light all the time.

So yeah, summer time is for the changes. right now is for supporting the team. Choosing to spend more energy on talking about things we can't control right now is a waste.

WYred, it's far more than "unfair". It's downright disrespectful and selfish. People take their right to post as a given, whereas the right of others to do the same, is seen as some kind of privilege that they have the power to restrict.

Correct, Faith; we have to be patient now.
And I think Klopp is trying to make us harder to beat, at the moment. That's not surprising when we were shipping three goals to the teams we did.
It's not easy to watch but it's a case of getting as many points as we can in what's left of the season. Settling for a point at Palace might not be top four form but it's better than a loss. Obviously ?.

Hit send too soon lol

Was saying Alonso it's always good to get a discussion on the l8ve chat with you

To the detractors, guys if u don't agree, say that and state your thoughts to the contrary, have a laugh with it - that is literally what banter is, again, can't believe I have to say this, but this is a banter site like, chill, have a read and discuss lads.

{Ed025's Note - well said bill..

Hit the nail on the head with Trent WYred, I’ve been saying the same all season. A little bit the same with Elliot, bags of ability but been made to look poor at times because of the way the team has been playing.

I really dislike the idea of dismissing someones posts as ‘whinging’ or ‘moaning’. It’s far too easy to throw out. If you have something to contest with someones opinion, or if you feel their stance is too negative, then address it directly and clearly explain why you disagree. Dismissing it with a condescending adjective makes you look stupid and is disrespectful to the ethos this page.

Wow this took an unexpected turn.

Despite all the frustration and negativity, I don't think there's a single fan out there who isn't behind the team. Everyone wants the best for the club and most will still harbour hopes of a late run that secures 4th place, even if on different degrees of probability.

Not sure why people are having a go at Alonso for stating his opinions on our current state. If oyou don't agree wit, you can either state your case or just ignore the whole piece. getting all worked up and dismissing it as Bleating or whatever is just of poor taste, IMO.

As for the piece itself, I agree with some points not all BUT it has opened a good debate and my main agreement with it is the hiring of a DOF who will stand up to Klopp and keep his inherent blind spots in check regarding squad management cos I will keep saying it, THAT is what has gotten us here over the years for the most part, not "inadequate spending" and all that mess, IMO.

This penchant for keeping players on huge contracts way past their time due to sentiments and blind loyalty hence, making them tough to move on, has prevented us from regenerate the squad and we are now paying the price.

For those dismissing it as extended bout of bleating, moaning or waste of time that’s fine. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion even if it doesn’t match up with our own. We can’t always think the same so all opinions are welcomed. Plus it sparked a good debate. We just need to get to summer where we can make the necessary changes and I am 100% behind Klopp being the man to make those!

Why was there a need for the condescending 'God bless' bit?
The title of the post is about fans with a different viewpoint to Alonso.
Why?

Rigsby. How did read everything, decide to later on narrow down on that title after already commenting on the thread twice without mentioning anything to suggest you felt that way? Not sure if you are trying to spark a reaction or find an angle or if you genuinely read it that way because only you have somehow taken it like that. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you genuinely read it that way. Let me clear it up in that case. There was zero intent my side in being condescending, if you genuinely felt that way. ZERO! It was a good discussion mate, not sure why on your 3rd post on the thread you decide to go down that route. Let me also make it clear so you can understand things on my side. I got no issues with you anymore. We agree on some things and don’t agree on others. That’s fine and I thought and hoped we cleared that all up the other day because on my end I’m done adding to that.

Actually, at least on a number of you posts you comment an opinion instead of offering ‘one liners’ which I can respect, even we ain’t necessarily ‘buddy buddy’ for lack of a better word. Also despite the fact I may not agree with the all of what you post. That’s not to say I don’t agree with anything you post in case that becomes your only take away from the point. There… I have given you your propers so let’s drop whatever this is because it feels like there is still something at least on your end despite me trying to offer an olive branch a few days ago to move on from any back and forth that further divides the forum. If there ain’t something your end then that’s fine but I have cleared up the title which you bought up and made things clear on my end in any case. The teams form is tiring enough without any constant back and forth a between us.
