Nunez is going to be special for us. The rawness will eventually be polished out. He's a great finisher and only 22 . There's something about the lad that you know he's going to work his socks off to become the best he can be.

I agree, Cookee. His performances scream raw ability and his pace, strength and desire are unquestionable. Once he feels settled and his English improves and he has a run of games he will be a top, top player.

Nunez movement is great and his pace is unbelievable. His ability to get to 2nd balls in situations hen should never get too is a great weapon for us as it catches the opposition cold.

Last night was the story of his season so far though. Great great header after missing an open goal 20 mins earlier in the first half.

I don't think he is a great finisher yet but the guy is full of raw energy. Hopefully he finds a little bit of composure and he will be flying. Needs to lay off the play acting tho.

Bar the fact that he's still a bundle of nervous energy at the moment and his silly reaction to Anderson, he's been excellent so far. He's constantly on the move and battling away. His speed seems to deceive everyone.

We were chatting on the live chat about him, his goals to minutes ratio is excellent and he's going to be a cracker.

Totally agree Cookey - been saying it since he joined.
Also, i think the diamond might be a decent option on-going - gets Mo more central where he is far more dangerous.

It’s feast or famine with Liverpool fan’s’ opinions on our own players.
Some good things, some weaker points.
Same as Elliott below.
I do like Nunez’ pace though, it’s a big asset.
As is his heading ability.

Been saying it from jump, I ain't worried about this kid. The growing pains are bound to happen BUT it his talent and his raw CF ability is undeniable. He has near all the physical tools needed to be a top class CF and he is being coached by the manager who gave us arguable the best CF in Europe for past 15 yeas in Robert Lewandowski.

He'll score some. He'll miss some. That's the nature of the beast BUT the main thing is that he is a workaholic on the pitch, chases lost causes, lightening fast and great in the air. The rough edges will be polished off with time. Darwin will be fine.

Whatever about him missing the chance, what on earth was Bobby doing passing?

OMM, I'm with you there BUT Bobbie is who he is. He is so selfless on the itch (and even more off it) that it his instinct to facilitate others. I mean when the ball came to him, you had to have known he would pass to Darwin cos I wasn't surprised when he did.

A few years a go at Stoke, Mane chipped the GK and Bobbie was there to tap in a ball already going over the line. He literally made sure it went over the line so Sadio could get his goal. Bobbie is Bobbie.

Klopp did say that Darwin prolly missed cos Bobbie surprised both him and everyone in the stadium by passing the ball to Darwin, lol.

I wouldn't worry about Nunez at all. I've heard him being labelled as a "dud" but even the best strikers have and always will miss chances even when it's easier to score. They will always get a chance to rectify it.

I don't buy into the lacking confidence either. He doesn't strike me as someone who lacks belief in his ability hence why he does sometimes take on the shot shot when an easier pass to someone available is on.

He's come into a team struggling for form and for whatever reason, lacking confidence. But that will also come good. This team is too good to be so inconsistent.
5 wins in last 6 games is a good foundation and last night was a good way to forget about the Forest game and move on to Leeds. Hopefully everyone is fine after last night and no new niggling injuries to key players. Roll on Saturday.

What was Bobby doing passing? To give Nunez an open net maybe?

More likely, IR judging by how unselfish Bobbie is.

Don't disagree IR or OliRed. Just think he should have finished it himself, he's in decent form in front of goal this season. It wouldn't have entered Mo's mind to pass it from there.

The reason Bobby passed it to Nunez, was that Nunez was in a better position to score. That's Bobby for you. Thiago has said that Bobby is the most unselfish player he has played with.

I like that Bobby passed it. Unfortunate Nunez missed tho lol may act as a deterrent to others passing in similar positions because there is almost always someone else in a better position to score a tap in when one of our players has shot from an angle and missed the chance. I'd love us to have some more FIFA walk-in goals.
