Was anyone else thinking Salah should've been subbed last night rather than Mane?

Diaz could've played on the left with Robertson and Mane moved over to the right with Trent.

Inter were pretty physical and combative last night and Mane looked right up for a battle - pushing their defenders around and letting them know he wasn't intimidated.

Also, Trent looked like he needed some help with Perisic. Things got better with Hendo coming on and although Salah tracks back he doesn't often put his foot in. Moving Mane to the right may have helped shore up the right side and given Trent that extra bit of support.

Can't complain though, great result and good experience for the younger players.

Did salah score after mane went off?

Think we can play all four of them against weaker teams to see how it works tho.

Coz Diaz is phenomenal carrier of the ball with raw pace and unbelievable vision, think Klopp can try him playing in midfield diamond would be nightmare for opposition midfielders and defenders to track he's runners and leave abundance space for mane jota and Salah to attack.

No - Salah should not have come off, as the 25 minutes following the substitution showed quite nicely. In a game where any goal is looking less and less likely, you pick Salah over Mané 10/ 10 times. The former is obsessed with goals in a way few other players are, and is a much bigger threat than Mané in general. Klopp bringing on Henderson was clearly enough to negate the threat of Perisic without removing the best player in the world.
On another note, Diaz looks an outstanding player.

No. Salah scored, job done.

I'm a big Mane fan and whilst he didn't find the net last night he was still in position to get 3 or 4 chances. That doesn't happen by accident and if he wasn't on the end of them then those chances never happen.

Saying that though I thought Bobby and Diaz coming off the bench proved to be great substitutions. Diaz was like a ball of fire and created all kinds of problems to a defence that had marshalled Mane, Salah, Jota and Bobby pretty well for 60 mins.

And then hats off to Bobby for his goal that opened the scoring with what was a great finish.

The beauty of this for the rest of the season is regardless of what 3 or 4 start then there will be 1 or 2 of them left to come off the bench.

And despite Inters efforts last night Hendo, Naby and Diaz coming on with fresh legs really helped us.

Which i can now see why a lot of clubs in the league are not overly keen on introducing the 5 sub rule in the league.

Agree with you kop forever. Live to see all four but I'd like to see mane in the 10 with Diaz jota Salah up front. Play 2 6s then out of thiago/ Henderson and fabinho.

Why would you even think of starting to mess around with the mind of your main man? Even if it's just for a game; and let's forget about the fact that Salah scored and Mane didn't. You're in the middle of crucial contract negotiations with him, he hates being substituted and you want things to be as smooth as possible with him, leading into the summer.

I don't value Mane any less than Salah, I hope we keep both (if we can financially afford it) . But I'm against messing around with your one goal machine that produces, and has produced consistently, since a few years now. We're in still in play for 4 titles/ trophies, and I've never seen so much depth in our attacking ranks; I would want everyone happy and producing.

Kopforever your going to play a front 3, a diamond midfield which is 4 players, so I'm guessing your playing 3 at the back? Doesn't make much sense to me as our fullbacks are so important to us.
Might try it on fifa tho virgil with Robertson, trent either side, unreal.

Salah also tracked back excellently on more than one occasion too, not to say Mane wouldn't have done that but I'm not sure how you could have justified bringing Salah off instead of Mane while also shifting him across to him less comfortable side.

Not really Bert mate just play Fab and Thiago as pivot 6s and Diaz will help when we are defending it doesn't matter where he's plays so don't see that a problem especially against teams who like playing 10 players behind the ball against us.

Jota is probably out for a week or two, “twisted ankle”.
Hopefully not ligament damage.

I’ll concede the point of Salah staying on and good to see all your reasons. It was a close call for me at the time, but yeah, Klopp knows best.

I’d just add that Mane is a proper warrior and looks to me like he’s got something to prove. Loved seeing him refusing to be intimidated by their defenders last night and dishing some back out. He’s brave as you like and a proper handful at crosses. Must be a nightmare to play against.

Klopp and his staff didn't think Salah should have came off so what anyone else thought is irrelevant.

Exactly @West Derby Wanderer. Have the opinion but as none of us sit on the bench behind Klopp it's irrelevant.
